I'd love to know too please!

they are beautiful!

IT'S SNOWING OUT!!!!! :cold:

We had snow flurries yesterday. I refused to use my winter coat out of principal. :snooty: but I feel your pain, I had to be outside today for about 6 hours... it felt like about 30-36 degrees. brrrr....

great job and great fabric choices. :thumbsup2 I agree the brown is cute, but I do think green or blue would pop.

what cute dresses! I just love the fabric! :goodvibes

I can see why you fell in love with that toile. It is gorgeous! You should definately make something else from it.

very cute and the towels are ingenious! I love the dress! wow.

And while I  newborns, I often feel they are precious (which is so not a word I use very often,). Unfortunately, I have a feeling my babies will be precious, b/c while I was a cute baby (if I do say so myself... *ahem*), my husband was more precious than cute (poor guy... he's handsome now!). his side of the family has VERY strong genes. my boys will have NO chance - they will all be bald. :upsidedow he was also very colic-y. :scared:

I wanna share some of my designs as well :) My latest is this knit hoodie dress and matching capri pants and the patchwork jumper dress that I made my Olivia for our trip in December:

Wow thats a lot of pictures! I will be making outfits for each of my 3 dd's for our trip! Lots of time left to make lots of fun outfits! I love seeing all of the fun and creative designs on this thread! Thanks for letting me share :)

:lovestruc :cloud9: I LOVE THE 1st Minnie Dot knit outfit!!!! love, love, love it!! I so want one for my 4 year old. LOL. Was it hard?

Hi Everyone,

DH is being really strict and not let me shop at all!!! Im dying to see the dollar fabric at Joann's - i had 1 yard of that Christmas Mickey fabric and the kids loved it to death - I'd love to find more for them!!!

Okay - I need help with a swimsuit for Elizabeth, who is soon to be 6. She no longer fits in the 5T which is a bummer, because all of the sudden suits go to string bikini or low cut V necks!!! I love getting her one of those sets that has a rashguard top for the beach. Then I dont get a lot of trouble about sunscreen! She does wear sunscreen, but with the rashguard top, we dont have to reapply as often. I usually get that at Target - any ideas where I can get a suit like that in a size 6/7?

Thanks so much!! Wendy

My dd is a size 7 and we got her's with the rashguard top at Target. She wore the same suit last year and wore it out and wanted the same one for this year and luckily they have the same one.

Castle - Elisa...just love love love those adorable luau sundresses. And I sure wish my Joann's had good $1 fabric. I go back Friday to check ( I go once a month). My little DD's are in a dance recital in May and their dance is Ease on Down the Road. I want to make a blue checkered sundress to wear to and from the show that they can easily get in and out of. This may be just the thing....can I CASE?

LOVE that fabric on the dresses!!! Super darling!! My little Sally passed by and said "WHOA...HULA girls!" :lmao: she loves the fabric and would like a dress like that please thank you very much...as she looks at me expectantly...like I know how to make such a thing!:rotfl2:
OK Miss Cammie that does it. You must come down to Cape May this summer and I will give you some sewing lessons. Not that I am all that...but Sally Rally needs to sew with you since she has her new machine and all....just sayin :rolleyes1

Had a wonderful time at princesses on ice yesterday afternoon! DD4 absolutely adored the whole afternoon! From getting into her (Store bought) Aurora dress, to putting on her Disney doll's skates, to lunch with the girls, to the show, she was in heaven!

She was SO excited when Sleeping Beauty came out....pure excitement!
Oh well....we had tons of fun!
Awwwww she is just adorable and the show sounded like such a blast!   Her dress is just loverly too! ;)

This is for our trip in September. It is a little big but it is should fit perfectly then. The Mickey parts fabric is a dish towel set. They lady at the little kitchen shop asked me if we needed plates to go with the towels and I said or course not this is going to be clothes soon!

I am having bows and bling made to match. I am very excited about this one. Free Dining helps too. :)

ooohhh, could you describe it to me so i could look for it up here? thanks so much!!!:thumbsup2

Here are the two little sundresses that I made yesterday. Nothing special, the girls just need something light, to run to the store in or to wear over their swimsuits.
IrelandandLexieChristmas20071695-1.jpg

I also hit JoAnn's today...not good. They had tons of fabric for a dollar a yard. So I wound up with a 38 dollar tab, which means..lot's more fabric to try to find a home for in this house.

I was fun shopping, but the whole time I was having my fabric cut..the girls were chanting.."Mum, I have to pee...Mum I have to pee.." It was funny for the first 2 seconds, I finally told them to go find a bathroom by themselves, which I knew they'd never do, and they shut up..
Those sundresses are beautiful, I love that fabric.

This is one of the only "store bought" dresses that she has and she absolutely loved it so I didn't "fix" it....but when it came from:wizard: I fell in LOVE with the fabric (Almost Sleeping Beauty tuoile)! I can so totally see making the dress a shirt and using the pink ruffle around the bottom of some leggins or some capris or something?!?! I'm not used to seeing her in short dresses!

Did you use a terrycloth towel? That is a great idea. I love the "mickey parts" designs.

Beautiful. I really love the minnie dot knit. It looks so comfortable and cute too!
I had a multi quote going an lost it bout everone's stuff from the last couple days is just fab!

I agree with the PP who said that she enjoys coming here because of the senes of family. I have gotten so much help and support here. THANKS!!!!!

Here is what I have been working on this weekend CASED from Laurap22 with a couple changes:

DSC00406.jpg

The applique is NOT perfect at all, but it is the second time i have tried it and the first one I have done that is not a square, so I guess it will just have to be ok. I took the design from the line drawing of rocket on the fabric. I will hopefully get a little better at it. You guys do such great appliques I want to get good enought ot case some more of them:)
My niece loves the little einsteins. You did a great job on the applique!
WHEW! We made it through the day!! It was supposed to pour rain and thunder storm all day and it turned out to be GORGEOUS and nearly 80 degrees! Glorious day!!! The Build a Bear party went well. Sally Rally had some anxious moments before we went. She got into her completely darling new "Birthday" outift, along with her new pink Minnie Jane crocs...and suddenly she was crying. She was afraid everyone was going to look at her. She was afraid she was too dressed up...in a knit dress and leggings...

She has pockets of extreme shyness. I wrestled with letting her change into something a little more familiar b/c I didn't want her to feel anxious...but then I remembered that I am her wicked step mother and it my JOB to challenge her! So I told her she looked great and that was that. Oh and PS-NO CRYING AT YOUR PARTY!

She sucked it up.

*ahem*

;)

Teddy looked darling as well.

here's some pictures b/c I know y'all are THAT interested!

getting some moral support from her best buddy! (Sally is the brown one in the pink sweater and pigtails!)

Getting "Bob" the Koala dressed in his karate outfit!
100_2405.jpg

Getting "Cuddles" the Koala into her cute pink summer capris!
100_2407.jpg

The kids had a wonderful time. Once the party got going Sally felt better and Teddy was actually pretty well behaved! One of the children at the party is the most out of control little poot I've ever encountered and I had to slap her around with an eyebrow arch more than once AND threaten to remove her from the party if she didn't lower her voice and WAIT HER TURN. This child is a grabber. I simply cannot abide a child who grabs and whines. Can't. I would just die of shame if my child acted like this as a guest at a party. :sad2: StinkPOT.

Overall the day went well.

And guess what y'all...Sally got a SEWING MACHINE from her grandma!!! She was THRILLED to death!! I cried when she opened it. I thought of all y'all and how much love you show your munchkins with your sewing machines! It's a nice one too! It's a Jenome Petite...I think that's what it's called! Tomorrow Sally will sit with her grandma and they will sew a pillow together!

I couldn't be more excited for her. What a wonderful gift!

and I am so dang tired right now I could cry!

Hope y'all had a good day!!!
Happy Birthday! Glad you had a great time at the party. Yay! Sally is going to start sewing! How cool is that?!

That is a very cute dress. I too hate to put short dresses on my Jenna. I usually make her a pair of capris that match if I think the dress is too short. I saw some of that material at Hobby Lobby and thought it was just too cute. They also had it in blue for Cinderella.

I have a delimma. I sold a car to my Best Friend and now two weeks later she says that they don't want to deal with the issues that the car has and wants to give it back to me. She was told about everything that was wrong with the car before she even came to get the car. Am I being a (insert bad word here) for asking them to keep their end of the deal? I told them that I would take some money off of the car because one of the problems is a little worse than we previously thought, but I feel that a deal is a deal.

Aimeeg- I wanted to let you know that I am going to attempt to CASE your pink Cinderella dress. I just have one question...Where did you get the beads for the necklace?

ooohhh, could you describe it to me so i could look for it up here? thanks so much!!!:thumbsup2

It was a blue and pink sunset print. The top options were a skimpy bikini top! NOT!! or a halter style top, like a tankini, it went all the way to her bottoms, and a short sleeve rash guard style top. I bought her everything but the skimpy top. I'm not crazy about her being in a two piece, but it fits well and covers everything. I'd look in it to see what brand it is, but it's in the wash. :rotfl: It's her favorite, so it's always in the wash..:lmao:

With all the posting of everyone's beautiful babies - it's making me want another! You'd think I would get my baby fix at work, but it's just not the same. And now that I've told you all to stop posting your baby pics, I feel the need to share! Caleb wasn't a classic "cute" newborn, but was a chunky monkey! I mean his rolls had rolls. His chubbiness made him cute, I thought! I miss that stage so much! Ella looked more of a classic newborn. They are about the same age in these photos - about 3 months old.

I really should be packing up - I'm scrappin with some friends tomorrow - but I loathe packing up all my supplies. I collect scrapbook supplies like I do fabric - so that means I have entirely too much! And I can't narrow anything down - I feel the need to take nearly everything I own - because what if I need it? So, I'll go tomorrow, use only about 5% of what I brought and maybe have one page completed! But it will be fun!

What sweet little angels.

Does anyone here digitize? I've been wanting to try, but I've been concerned about hot time consuming it would be. I just downloaded and played around with embird a little bit. I"m wondering if anyone does this, and how difficult was it for you to learn?

I am behind as usual but i will be going back to look , Just wanted to say that i posted my last day on my Tr ..:rolleyes1

Castlecreations, what pattern did you use for the cute sundresses?* I love the fabric.* I think these would make really cute everyday wear for the summer.

OH my GOSH!!! I love love LOVE the Mickey Parts print!!! I got a Mickey parts photo album and hand painted ornament at the Christmas shop at DTD last summer! So SO SO cute!

There are TONS of children's rash guards at Old Navy. Pretty decent prices. Also Disneyshopping.com has princess rash guards for very reasonable...may even be on sale. Also, I always get Sally a two piece that looks like a once piece from Land's End. They have an overstocks section of their online site with a lot of bathing suits for very good prices. Ease of a two piece with the coverage of a one piece. Very durable too!!!

What a lovely offer!!! I am SO in!!!:cool1:

I was very good and sat in on the "lessons" this weekend. AND my mother in law bequeathed me her Pinking shears!!! It was very sweet. It's also a bit sad. She insists she can't sew, yet clearly she can...quite well actually. But she refuses to believe it...she made an extremely intricate wedding BALL GOWN for her niece and then tried to tell everyone it was just the "light" that made the dress look so amazing...:confused3

She takes modesty a step too far! Man, I'd be so tacky...if I sewed something fab I'd throw a parade in my honor! I'd toot my own horn, pat my own back, give mad props to ME!!!!

;)

thanks for the invite!!! I'm on my way!!! I'll bring the diet coke!!!:cheer2:
