Sohappy- WOW great stuff for your boys and you don't leave 'til may!! I'm pming you too!
tina_belle- the swirly mickey head outfit is so cute glad it ended up working out!!
heather- I did see about the tattoo and dolls. And I think I only saw it at the theater about 3-4 times. But you know I bought it the first night it came out on DVD. I'm talking at the store at midnight! I don't recall if I ran right home and watched it (which would mean staying up til 3am) but I might have  I was young and unattached then ;) (married- NO kids)
I love to do cabbage rolls at parties. I take a prize wrap it and put a sticky note on it with a question (like middle name, favorite food, bedroom theme, worst subject, favorite subject, color of backpack......)and then make a second layer and put on a post it note with another question about the birthday child. I wrap each gift between 3 and 7 times with questions for each "layer". Have the kids sit in a circle and like hot potato pass the prize around. If the person holding the gift gets the question correct they can carefully unwrap that layer. If there is another layer they pass. If they see a prize, they keep the prize. My girls are 7 and 8, and the kids love it. They love to learn about their frind (birthday girl) and some know and some don't know the answers. Some guess like what size shoe, what time born, name of babydoll. But all the kids there are friends, or would not be invited to the party so they will know SOMETHING on the sticky notes. I also learn a lot of my Daughters when I ask her the answers to all the silly questions. Its fun
That's a cute Idea thanks for sharing!!

And sadly I have nothing to share today- maybe tomorrow....

Just stunning Teresa!!
I think I like enchanted a little to much- is that possible? I mean I'm not going all Titanic about it but I just love that movie!!! Maybe it's the music?? (I have seen Titanic at least 30 times  )
:rotfl2: I love the movie too!!! And thanks!!

I finally sat myself down and made myself finish Jenna's Farbenmix pattern. I forgot to add the seam allowance when cutting out the fabric peices, but I guess I copied the wrong size because it fits her just fine. :confused3 The only problem that I had was when I finished the back. The back side peices did not overlap so I couldn't do any buttons or snaps. Well I think it worked out anyways. I added some eyelets and used a ribbon to lace up the back.

Here are the pics.

Wow! Great outfits!!! I really love the Nemo shirts with the little black shorts!! And, I am very impressed that you made your own fabric!!! Those shorts are cute!

THat is beautiful!!! You will have to put the patterns on YMCT for sale!!

Aww, thanks, that is a wonderful compliment!

Also wanted to add that I LOVE the Giselle top TERESA! Great job! You have some skills girl!

Yep, you guys are wonderful for my ego! Thank you!

Ok, I got about half of the pics for the shorts done, then my battery died, so I'll post what I have. I finished those shorts, but if people need more pics, I will show them on the next pair....
.
Thanks Angela!! I added your pictures to the tutorial on the blog (which is also bookmarked)
I feel that way about the doll clothes I make too but I post some anyway! I loved all of your outfits!
Please, post away, we love seeing them!

Awww, you guys are making me feel so special!! I almost didn't post because they are boy clothes and not as cute as a lot of the girl things! I NEED to find a girl around here to sew for!! I have tried to talk a few friends into LETTING me make something for their kid, but no luck. UGH.

Anyway, the applique designs are from the site that must not be named. I ALWAYS get them from one great designer- PM me if you want her name. She has been AMAZING to work with. She has some really, really cute stuff too.
We love seeing boys stuff too! I'm so glad you posted all these!

Teresa told me I could pin the wider elastic on. But, I had no idea what she meant until I saw your picture!
You silly doofus! You could have asked me! :rotfl:

I had a similar experience. I practiced the arch on my friend's kids and they just laughed. It could have something to do with the constipated look I have to get on my face in order to get my eyebrow to arch. :confused3
:rotfl2: I've been practicing too!

Oh, Teresa, I love this! It is perfect!
Thanks!

I made dd4 a skirt for dd1's Mickey birthday party & now I'm not entirely sure what shirt to make to go with it. I was thinking a peasant top with Mickey on the front. I have enough plain white to make one, but I'm not sure how that would look. Would it be better to get white w/black polka dots for the shirt?

This is the skirt:

TIA
I LOOOVE the skirt!!! That is perfect! I vote for the white top with the dots too! :thumbsup2
::rotfl2:
Okay you made me snort laugh and choke on my diet coke AND my dog barked at me b/c I scared him!

Who knew that having pretend measles and being banned from polite society would lead to such laughter?!
How are you feeling today?

Your poor puppy!

Another vote for a white shirt with some of the black and
white fabric. I LOVE that skirt. Where did the red fabric
come from?

sohappy--- I love, love, love  those patchwork shorts.
I am going to CASE those for my DD. Great job!

Lori

The red Mickey came from Hancock. I got it back around Christmas I think. Some stores never got it in & the one I got it from had 2 bolts.

OK, I can't believe you didn't comment on all the random things in my pics!! I specifcally took a wide shot to incorporate the spongebob umbrella just for you!!!

Anyone knows if this is what I need if I want to purchase embroidery designs from the internet? I have a Brother machine (none disney) that doesn't have the USB connection to my computer.

http://www.amazon.com/Brother-PED-B...Embroidery/dp/B000GTNEEO/ref=pd_sbs_k_title_7

I have a Disney Brother embroidery machine without a USB connection also. I use the Ped basic to write to a blank card and use that to download designs from the internet. It has worked well for me!

Here is where the crazy starts (well, it might have been earlier, but now it is full-on crazy!). Jackson and Cooper want Mike outfits. So, I plan to applique (thanks for the awesome tutorial HS!) a mike onto a white shirt. I couldn't figure out what to do for pants. . .So, I made this fabric. I know that some of the seams don't like up, but I like it. It looks at least as good as the patchwork shorts I got from old navy earlier.

Everything is great, but I really love the Nemo outfits! And you pieced your own fabric! Nice job! :)

I was wondering what kind of umbrella that was! And, I was thinking that I liked the Croc in the first picture, and wanted to know if those were yours or your husbands. Because, I was wondering if your husband wore Crocs, and if he did, could I talk Brian into buying a pair like that?

And, I was wondering where the other Croc was...
And, do you iron on the floor? I like your little ironing board. And, is that a magna doodle behind there? ;)

I NEEEEEED an embroidery machine!!! Really really bad!

I feel the same way. Course I haven't used the 200 decorative stitches my machine offers- but that just isnt the samething! I absaposatutely NEED an embroidery machine too!

yes does your machine have a memory card slot? if it does than you need ped designs sortware that allows transfers.
Lori

It has a slot for embroidery card but only non-disney brother card. Oh I am so confused what I need.....I think I should just call the store that I bought it from and i am sure they can tell me exactly what I need...although sometimes, they try and sell me stuff that I DON'T need...

I just thought I'd let you all know that Target has princess sock in the dollar bins. It looked like they had Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella through a size 2-4 & Cinderella, Ariel, and Snow White from 2-4 to 6-8.

Also, a question.

I think a white top would go best. I love it by the way! That skirt is adorable too!

Stacy

I love all your outfits! you have been really busy! I wish I can sew that fast. Love those einsteins outfits too!

Then the legs are sewn together:

I Did take a pic of my FAVORITE tool for feeding drawstrings and/or elastic:

DSCN0860.jpg

The safety pins are to attach the tool tot he elastic, since it doesn't feed through the "eye".

I hope these pics help!! I have to get back to my sewing!!

ETA: Oh!! the way I remember that the curvy part is the crotch, is the CURVE has to go over a tushie (which is curvy). That way I sew the correct parts together.

Thanks so much:thumbsup2 ...i'm not much of a pattern girl either...I really most of the time come up with an idea in my head...cut fabric and sew...I think that is why I had trouble trying to make shorts with a pattern. I am so going to do this tonight, Thanks again!!!:cool1:

all you need is the ped basic. that will download the designs from your computer to a brother memory card. you put whatever you want on that memory card and it transfers to your machine when you put it in. the card and reader is about $150 $200 depending where you buy it.

I need a break. :headache:

This dress kicked my tush. :headache: I don't like it, but I don't think I have the time to make a new one. The ruffles didn't work right, then my serger decided to have a fight with me. It's a MESS. :headache:

This is the outfit with the shorts tutorial fabric...For AK and the Zoo (we got o the zoo a lot, so this is a multi-purpose outfit)

The PED-Basic will transfer downloaded embroidery designs to a memory card which you then stick in your machine. The Brother Disney cards have something that won't let them be read in a non-"D" Brother machine (so they can get you to spend more on the "D" model). But the machine won't care that your downloaded designs are Disney-esque, if that's what you're asking. :)

ETA: Wally-World (online) has the PED-Basic too. Not sure which is cheaper with coupon codes and shipping and sales tax.

Spongebob umbrella (left out on purpose!!)
The croc is actually Jackson's. It is the kid's scutes. He just got them that day. He was wearing one of his new blue disney ones and one of the scutes around until I made him take them off. NO idea where the other one was.

Yeah, ironing on the floor stinks. We are in an apt for a bit until I can get stuff back together (just recently divorced). I don't really have room for a full sized board right now, so yeah, floor ironing it is. I guess it helps that I don't use it much. :lmao:

Probably a diego magna doodle- probably has some pokemon name written on it :confused3

You crack me up!!
