Those are all so cute. I purchased the ebook to make the woven headbands but i can't find the blank headbands around here. I haven't tried the clippies because I keep forgetting about them. I need to get my self in gear.

i used a set of plastic dollar store headbands I found at family dollar :D lol
they were pink, white and blue. ;) hehehe Im covering them anyway.

My official diagnosis is...if you are feeling okay, I would just manage the symptoms until they subside. If you are itchy, use medicated itch cream, and I would change detergents, just to see if you're husbands trying to kill you..
You can have a titre/ titer( spelling ?)drawn to see if you're still immune.
If not, go get your MMR. I had to have one recently, and they aren't cheap.
I hope you are feeling better soon!
Now that will be $100 please..

Wow! Look at you, Nurse Elisa!! I'm impressed!

Hello, all! I've been tending to a sick baby for about a week, and now guess what?.... I'M home sick today! Sore throat, snotty nose, blech!

Anyway, I finally finished the "Lucky" outfit. Here are pictures of the front and back. Hopefully Kimberly will post pics of the outfit on her daughter after she receives it this week....

Thanks, kat! It was really fun to make.

So I am really wanting a green petti. I am not exactly sure who purchased directly from Sams ( Teresa was that you??) but I would love if that person could PM me about how I can do this, or if they are ordering, how I can join in??? Pretty Please????

some people put together CoOps to place a large order w/ sams. Sams can take up to 6 months to crank everyones pettis out though.Im a instant gratification kind of gal lol so waiting that long is a no go for me.:rotfl:

My try at the woven headband and princess clippies.
IMG_1834.jpg

IMG_1835.jpg

I was supposed to use light blue for the little side loops on cinderella but I didnt have any so I went w/ more blue since its what I had on hand.
Took me a bit but I like how they came out :)Especially since its my first try for any of these items lOL.I was so nervous about the woven headband but I see many more of those being made esp since my DD is a headband lover.
LMK what you think!

I love that headband!!! How do you make them? Do we have a tutorial for them here? I love it!!!

1) Just so all of your kids know, Ella had decided she is friends with every child on this thread. Anytime she sees a picture of someone, she'll say she likes him or her and they are her friend. Then she won't let me scroll past, she'll just gaze admiringly at her new friend. What a crack-up!

2) This is old news by now, but here is what she ended up with for the Princess on Ice show. The show was so much fun!

Hope everyone's having a great Monday!

Ella looks so darling!!! I love that dress, it's so cute!!! I love the Ella and her friends story!! She's so adorable!!!

So here it is
th_DSCF1625_edited-1-1.jpg

I also found this pattern a Gazillion times easier and everything matched up perfectly ... Easy McCalls #3193:goodvibes

How many more visits do you have left? I hope you are about done, hurting teeth are the worst!

Camden and his outfit are adorable!!!! Great job Misty!

Getting there. 8 more sewing days....7 more outfits.....

ETA: the legs on the tigger shorts are the same length....i just pulled them out to double check. They were laying funny.
So cute!!! I love the Ariel dress!

You guys are killing me with all this talk about new fabric..it's my total weakness. I am parting with tons. I just got done measuring a bunch for a listing. I'm doing all of the Disney stuff together, plus some buttons, and embroidered stickers. Tomorrow I will be taking pictures..I hate that part..
Just an update on the diet thing...I started on April 3, and so far have lost 5 pounds..let's hear it.. Yea Me
LOL..

YEAH YOU!!! GREAT job on the weight loss!!!
Just look at my 10 year old daughters cool hair today! *ahem* she loves it. But she had to pull a piece down over her forehead

th_IMG_0086-1.jpg

I love it!!! She looks so pretty!

And just to see how many posts I can get in a row...:lmao: This is what I woke up to this morning

th_IMG_0068_edited.jpg

And I was making Lily model a "boy outfit" for photos so I was intending to crop her head out, but this photo just crackied me up. It was first thing in the morning so her hair had not beeen brushed or anything. She is making her pirate face. I it! :rotfl:

Lily looks adorable!! She looks a lot like my future nephew-in-law!

And, OH MY GOSH!!! SNOW!!!! NO!!!!! That is SOOOO WRONG!!!!

umm what does the wizard guy mean ??? I thought it meant ebay but when I type that it comes up fine. LOL
can someone clue me in ?

It means eBay....from what I understandthe progression was:

Since you are not allowed to advertise, "eBay" in listings gets looked at more close

So "eBay" became "the site which shall not be named"

Then it got called "Voldemort"

Voldemort was a wizard, so....

eBay = :wizard:

Oh, and walmart is sometimes "Waldemort" :rotfl:

HTH!

I explained the little :wizard: guy in the first post, but, that's about right. We were just trying to be funny! You can type Ebay if you want, we are just being goofy!
;)

Me TOO!!! I simply cannot wait for that long for anything...except Disney. Disney is the only thing I can plan on more than six months in advance!!!

I think I'd rather pay and arm and a leg than wait.

:snooty:

;)

SO CUTE!!!! I love the dalmations. Very creative! Hope you feel lots better real soon!

So Megan brought her rest mat to school today. I found out how the last one got destroyed. It is woven little strips (like the potholders we made in the 70s on those looms) and the boy next to her would pull the strips out during rest period! I told her under no circumstances would she let this little ruffian touch her new rest mat and tell the teacher if he was. She said all the girls love her new rest mat because it is so soft. I should go into business selling comfy rest mats to the kindergarten moms next year!
year!
You should sell them!!! I wonder if Lydia will need one next year. year!
None of my other kids had them. But, Lydia will go all day every single stinkin stupid day. (Not that I'm letting myself get all upset at just the THOUGHT of my baby. MY BABY! being away from me so much, no not me! :rolleyes1 ) Good thing I like the teacher.

Whew! I think I finally made it through to the end! I was busy sewing this weekend and got very behind! Anyway, just wanted to share some pics...

First, a total CASE for a little girl's birthday party next weekend (she's having a LM theme)
mermaiddis.jpg
mermaidback.jpg

Then the bribes for my kids being good at the fabric store on Friday - new pjs from flannel they picked out. (the nightgown was my first circle skirt done without a pattern!:cool1: - the bodice is a lengthened portrait peasant)
pjpants.jpg

pjs.jpg

Then a birthday gift for an adult friend who has two boys that love pirates. (it says Pirate Princess - kinda hard to see)
pirateprincess.jpg

And an earth day shirt for me!
earthday1.jpg
Earthday.jpg

And finally some wine bags I forgot to share (they are for a wine tasting party, so the wine is supposed to be a mystery)
winebags.jpg
winebag1.jpg
GREAT outfits!!! I really love the nightgown! That would make a fantastic dress!

Thanks for all the encouragement for the portrait peasant dress pattern. I took the plunge and am finishing 2 dresses for DD6 and DD4. They are SEW easy! It's the first time I've used a pattern and the first time I did sleeves. They are almost finished. I'll take pics when the girls try them on. Probably a few days yet.

I skimmed thru the last gazillion pages and saw lots of cute stuff. Oh, I also checked out that Super Nanny segment on You Tube. ;) I don't usually watch Super Nanny, but do remember catching that episode.

Love all the petti's. And that Mickey quilt is gorgeous! :worship:

I can't wait to see what you've made!

For those of you that said a prayer for my FIL, thank you! He came through surgery ok, and now in ICU. Hopefully he will be well enough to go into his own room tomorrow. The doctor was hopeful that he got all the cancer, but we will know for sure on Wednesday. It is nice to know I have friends in mickey-cyberland! LOL!

All of the new customs are so cute, I haven't had a chance to create much new stuff in the last few weeks, but I will take a lot of pics on my trip!

I hope his recovery goes very smoothly!

I have a Build a Bear question for anyone who has done Build a Bear parties!

Did your birthday boy or girl get to go above and beyond the "fixed" amount the party? Meaning, the "guest of honor" has a bear with an entire outfit including shoes and accessories while the other party guests have bare footed bears with maybe a t-shirt and a pair of shorts? Each guest will have $25 to spend, and I'm of the opinion that $25 is more than enough for Sally and Teddy to have nice bears with a cute outfit without having to go lavishly over board. Especially since they'll have had a ton of other gifts from family.

I guess I'm a little uncomfortable with the "Look what I got and YOU didn't" concept. It bugs me. It could be a childhood thing...our mom didn't let us win game prizes at our own birthday parties. We could play the games, but if we "won" the second place person got the prize instead...it was our birthday after all and we were getting gifts from everyone already.

Any thoughts? I want the kids to have a great day, but I also want them to get the concept of being satisfied with what they've got and not needing "MORE", birthday or not.

Could be that wicked step mother thing.

:goodvibes

I love the halters and the tie dyes and well I love it all :lmao: But I especially love the tie dyes- What did you use to outline the yellow mickey? Is it sparkily? We did practice ones on cheap shirts to test it out, we let ds help to it was a lot of fun! The only disney project my dh helped with :rotfl:
1) When in January 2006 were you there?? We were there from January 31-February 5, 2006.

2)When I read that you put hot glue on the clip, I instantly got a mental image of you gluing the clip to your DD's head. :lmao: I imagine that would keep it in!

3)Top FIVE!! :woohoo:
1) January 10-17- Had to go before ds turned 2 on the 20th-:lmao:
2) Well I guess that would work too! :lmao:
3) Top TEN!! :woohoo:

I've seen alot of those in stores- are they a new trend? It looks great!! And the clippies are super cute! I bought all the stuff to do them then dh put my glue gun away "somewhere" so I finally bought a new one, then got busy and forgot about the clippies, but I found the other glue gun- What I am saying is Thanks for reminding me I wanted to make some clippies too!! :lmao:
