OMG!!!!!! Where did you get this fabric? My DD is a HUGE marie fan and would die for a Marie custom!

Was just checking out:wizard: and saw lots of great new fabric! Marie was there too! I need to stay away from that site!

From :wizard: . PM me if you want the seller. She is very sweet but it comes from Asia so it takes a while to get here. She has lots of cute fabric.

Im not done reading to catch up but I was rereading and rereading this last night
If you look at her layout for the pattern it has the ful pattern of the bodice- in the middle of the fabric being cut. But my guess is that changed and now they need to be layed on the fold. THe rest of the directions have a similar instruction that says to cut a little reverse "V" at the bottom of the fold to mark the center.

Can ppl post their Carla Cs portrait peasant dress? Im trying to decide which design I want to make.

I figured this too. It was messing me up seeing the full pattern on the material, then looking at the pattern that says cut on fold! But alas, I finally did some cutting. That ruffle is LOOOOONG! I doubled the material over and used a rotary cutter and it worked real well. For my first dress I am doing the simple one. It looks easy enough....hmmm we will see!

mrsmiller, how about sewing velcro instead of using a zipper. I have some large pillows with velcro and they are great to remove for washing, too.

GL!

Hello again! I am the maker of the lollipop bows that Nicole posted, and the tiara that Aimee posted a while ago. I have posted here before, but I mostly lurk, I do not want to appear that I am only here to sell (which is not the case at all!). I do not have a little girl, but I love to see all of the fabulous outfits that everyone creates!

Thanks for the kind words!
I fell in love with what you had listed, but I guess the others beat me to the bows. List more bows, so I can buy some. :lmao:

These are some of the dresses/PJ's I made using the CarlaC Peasant pattern.
PJ's
S2010130.jpg

A shirt.
S2010141.jpg

The underdress to this one is the Peasant dress. This one has the ruffle at the bottom.
S2010120.jpg

This underdress is also the Peasant pattern, but has no ruffle.
S2010116.jpg

I plan on making Jenna a Minnie Dot dress using the same pattern.

All this talk about bows so thought I should share a picture of what I got yesterday! I am going to use them to keep my hair pulled back in a pony tail, they work great!

Here is what I'll be wearing them with.

I never posted a picture of this shirt either. I am not sure what I think of it now. I might make the M bigger. At first I had it all in more minnie font, but changed it, but now the M looks too tiny.

Thanks again Laura!

I love them!!!

My DD was running around (being herself:lmao: ) this morning. I said "For this child I did pray..." She stops and says "WHAT were you thinking!" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just out of curiousity, how many points did you guys buy? I have been thinking about this, too. I love it, and we go every year. I figured in the long run, it would be cheaper.

We have 300 pts at BWV. I'm going to buy 150 more. It is cheaper in the long run especially if you stay in a deluxe resort, for example, we stay for 10 days. I just priced a 1 bd suite at deluxe resort and the Contemporary is 7594. In cash, that equals about 4 years of trips. We can use our points until 2042 for a 1 bdfor the 30000 we spent for our points. You can get them cheaper through resale but Disney has all the points right in front of them and it's easier to get the month and the points you want through them.

Honestly, I very rarely use the measurements given for the skirt pieces. I always make them fuller. Here's some things I've made with the PP ebook.

IMG_2681.jpg

This one I modified the patern, I lengthened the bodice piece.

IMG_2592.jpg

Another modified vrsion. The "skirt" is more of an a line.

I am so proud of Tessa and I had to share with you all. She wanted to have a party (she has lots of impromptu parties) and so she was writing invitations. She usually writes mostly scribbles and then signs her name. But, I was completely shocked when she handed me my "invitation" and it said:

MOM
BRBE
PRTE
TESSA

She sounded out the words and wrote them all by herself!! I am so proud!! In case you don't speak Tessa, it says "Mom, Barbie party, Tessa. She's never been to preschool, she's just a genius! :rotfl2:

How cute! You are so good at making doll clothes. They are beautiful!! I love your DD's dress. She is such a pretty girl! She reminds me a lot of my best friend's daughter, Madison. I love her, so that's a good thing!

To those who are sick or having other kinds of problems - I've been thinking good thoughts for you and I hope it gets better soon! To those of you who are going on a trip soon, have good time and know I'm super jealouss. Can't wait to see those kids and outfits in action! and to everyone else.... hi! (didn't want you to feel left out).

And I am bursting... I just have to share.. we found out last night that my husband got into the program he wanted for his career This has been a year long process and I'm so excited that not only was he offered the position, but it's to a program in town. Which means we don't have to leave our families, don't have to sell our house and I don't have to leave my job to find a new one. This calls for more bananas   Ok, thanks for letting me a dork. I'm just so happy

And I know I'm a couple days behind, but I just wanted you guys to know a liger is pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic. pst... please don't tell anyone I walked out of the theatre the first time I saw it. I love it now. I promise.

What wonderful news!!!! I'm so happy to hear that!!

Don't feel bad about your first Napoleon Dynamite experience. The first time I watched it, I think I was sick. I was laying on the couch watching it and when it was over I said "What in the heck was that?" Then, I watched it again right away and I loved it the 2nd time!:rotfl2:

You do beautiful work!! Feel free to share with us whenever you like!!

Yes, I think what's confusing you is that the layout picture shows how the fabric will look when you cut out the pieces. It's not really showing you how to lay the pattern onto the fabric. It's just to show how much fabric you're going to need and where you'll cut the pieces from. I hope that makes sense!

Wow!! I love all your stuff! I'm so glad you're going to let your "little girl" shine with the hair bows and the Minnie shirt. They are all so cute. I think the "M" looks fine, too!

wow, that's not even counting the ones I have made for other people (I think 6 more) and 2 other tops I have made DD10.

JHam, what pant pattern did you use for Miss Lilly's Cindy outfit? And is the light blue one piece that you just curved or is it two? (I sense a CASE coming on.)

In case you haven't guessed by now, it was Carla's peasant dress. :rotfl: The light blue piece is just one piece, the same width as the skirt piece and I just curved the 2 edges instead of sewing them together. The pants are the zuma pattern by studio tantrum Farbenmix.

Cute, I love how the shirt turned out!

Okay back to lurking for now! Our boutique is wed-fri and we have to set up tonight. We have all our stuff in my living room and 2 of my friends stopped by last night and bought 7 outfits! :dance3: actually 8 if you count the doll dress    Good thing sugarbees made a TON of stuff!

Okay, I couldn't go back to lurking without commenting on that! It's good to know our grandkids will have both brains and beauty! :rotfl: What a smart girl! Luke is very creative. I think my favorite picture I have hanging up of his is a picture he drew of a bowl with all kinds of different colored swirls in it. His teacher asked him what it was and he said "a bowl full of expirements":lmao:
