A dress or top made out of playing card material would be cute to match for Alice in Wonderland.

I just bought a yard of playing card fabric to make a dress for Jenna to wear.

Great idea! I think I remember seeing playing card farbic at JoAnn's.

I love your hair! It really makes your eyes stand out: beautiful!

Glad you and Georgia are doing better. Give her a hug from all her DIS aunties please.

After experimenting with the rag curls, I know want a perm again. Am I crazy? Aren't perms so 80's? I got my first spiral perm in 1987 and my last perm probably around 97. Do stylists even do sprial perms anymore? It cost me about $70 back then, wonder what they cost now? Hubby said go ahead if I want to. Hmmmmm.... That is a lot of fabric I could buy fot that!

My friend just recently got a perm and (little voice) I don't think it looks that great. She doesn't do anything with it so it's just kind of crinkly. She likes it, so who am I to say? You want to do it, go for it!

Hi guys! I'm waaaay behind! I'm trying to get some outfits finished for our trip!

Hey stranger! I bet you're getting excited (or frantic, if you're anything like me).

I worked with my mom this weekend on Erin's outfits. I cut out the patterns and material, she is doing most of the sewing. Of course I forgot to buy lining, so we had to make a couple of trips for that. :headache:

DH told me if I really wanted to sew more he would buy me a sewing machine! I'm not sure if I am ready to spend that kind of money on a part time hobby, but it would be nice. I might have to think about it more. *IF* I were to get a machine, what do suggest for a beginner?

Very cute! I like the green with it.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ladies and Gent!!

Its been a long long time. Well maybe a good few weeks. Things for me are slowly picking up the pieces. I have been working so much I hardly ever have time to take a shower.. No worries thought folks, I do make time for that. hahaha

I still have yet to sew, but I did get my fabric in a the storage thing my mom got for me when she was here. It rolls!! I am going to move a desk into the living room area so I cant put my sewing machine on it.

I am a lot happier now, shockingly, now that Kevin is gone. But that is a good thing. My best friend and I are going out next weekend. That should be fun! Georgia is suppose to see her dad. so I can relax and have some me time.

I dyed my hair too! Its um way different. its RED!

Good to see you posting. I was just thinking of you and Georgia this weekend and wondering how things were going. Sounds like you are doing very well. The hair is very spunky!! Georgia looks so much like you! :lovestruc

I am starting to try to lose weight again today--I can't really say "diet" that just sounds weird. I think I will just go back to eating like I did when I was on WW without actually counting up all my points. Some exercise might help too. I just need to actually be able to fit into the clothes I already own :scared1:

Good luck! I'm getting back on the wagon too, but it's never easy.

Good morning everyone! We had a busy weekend - spring cleaning! Woo Hoo. Still in progress, actually. I was hoping to have pictures of my scrapbooking/sewing area all clean and organized to share, but it's not quite there yet. Soon, I hope.

Caleb had a Dr. appointment yesterday for a checkup and his kindy immunizations. Poor kid, he had to get 4 shots and they gave them in his legs. I was a bad mommy and really just didn't even think to give him ibuprofen or anything after. Then, around dinner time last night, he came to me all teary eyed, saying that his legs were sore. Oh, man I felt so bad. But a little bit of motrin, some homemade pizza and an ice cream sandwich later, he was a bit better. He says his legs are still a little sore, but he's at least been up and playing this morning, so it can't be too awful.

I have one more thing to share - hopefully you will all be laughing with me, not thinking I'm some horrible, cruel mom. So Ella has this crazy, curly hair, right? Well, as I was watching Napoleon Dynamite for the millionth or so time a few days ago, it hit me that she has hair just like him! So, I felt the need to make her a "Vote for Pedro" shirt and dress her up like Napoleon. My husband just shook his head. Ella actually thought it was funny - a friend gave me a talking Napoleon doll for a gag gift a while back and the kids both love to play with it, so she thought it was neat to be dressed up like that "talking boy dolly" as she put it. I was trying to get her to make some goofy Napoleon-ish faces, but she didn't quite get it. Ok, so here she is:

napoleon1.jpg

And for those of you who now think I'm absolutely and totally nutso: well, you're right, but I'm embracing my inner crazy!

I have never seen the movie (though I have seen previews/movie posters) and I think it is funny, and she still looks cute as a nerd!

Glad you and Georgia are doing well. I love your hair! :)

I'm happy we heard from you! I've been thinking about you and Georgia! And your hair looks great! All you women and your hot new hairstyles--I guess I should at least get my roots touched up :rolleyes1 Although that would require DH to be home to watch the kiddos--no wonder I'm looking so bad! But I should say it here, to help keep me accountable (no more chocolate chip cookie photos PLEEEEASE!) I am starting to try to lose weight again today--I can't really say "diet" that just sounds weird. I think I will just go back to eating like I did when I was on WW without actually counting up all my points. Some exercise might help too. I just need to actually be able to fit into the clothes I already own :scared1:

I'm with you! My job is so sedentary, it isn't funny. I work crazyhours and have to try to fit personal stuff--including exercise and sleep!--around it!

Just think of it as embracing a healthier lifestyle. Doesn't have to be totally healthy, just healthier! :)

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Glad Caleb is doing better today.

I'm one of the people guilty of not getting the photos, but I'm so far outside of most pop culture that it's embarrassing!

Now, embracing your inner crazy--that's a good thing! *LOL*

Hey everyone! I am not going to attempt to catch up, but I had a wonderful but short trip! I am ready to go back!!!! My computer at home has been acting up, so I don't have any pics to post just yet. Just wanted to touch base and tell everyone happy sewing!

I am a bit depressed, though. Vacation let down. Well, I guess I can start planning my next trip next year.:goodvibes

Oh, your trip is right around the corner :cheer2: :cheer2: ! You are going to have so much fun! I think half the panic beforehand is part of the fun! After you're home again it will seem so boring! Good luck getting all of your sewing done!

I have a quick question for the ladies who have recently been at WDW. Is Giselle anywhere to be seen? We were down in December and she was in the Holiday parade there. Then I saw that she had been introduced as the new princess at Magic Kingdom.

I'm hoping we can see her when we're there in June, Delaney would be tickled pink to see her.

Thanks!

I have been trying to keep up and all the outfits are gorgeous.

Princess Kell, I absolutely LOVE your hair color. I'm glad that you and Georgia are doing well. I had been thinking of you recently.

Teresa and Heather, I can only imagine how excited you all are about your trip! I'm with you on the panic for getting things done. I have about 23 things I want to make for our trip and have no idea when I'm going to get them all accomplished.

I've got to get to work. DH is leaving on a 5 day business trip to Tampa and I've got to get his stuff ready for him to throw in a suitcase tonight. He leaves around 5:30 tomorrow morning.

Happy Birthday Elisa!

I'm sure I'm missing a million other folks, I have to go back and read a little more after I get DH all ready for his trip.
