CastleCreations- I like the colors of the dresses. I also love the white pants with the top. THe only thing I kind of wondered is the fabric almost looks like it's meant for chesty girls. But maybe its just me. I think Im biased too cause I have SEEN what you sew and these pale in compairson to your creations. Tell me you didnt sell that "cruise outfit" and that Ireland is gonna wear it.

I had to laugh at your comment...when little Lexie tried it on, she held out the front, and said...are these for your b00bies..:rotfl: maybe Ireland will wear it and Lexie will wear the dress.
Yes I did sell the cruise outfit. 3 of them acutally. LOL. So I have been busy sewing. I plan on making the girls each one, plus I have 2 DCL officer jackets that I plan on altering into haltertops to go with their pettis.

Okay so seriously...I would fail the glucose test. I simply can't NOT throw up gag inducing thick liquids...even typing that makes me gag a little bit.

So is this test a MUST? Is there another way to test for it? What would happen if one was going the "totally natural", taking prenatal vitamins and that's IT as far as medical intervention route? I've been reading y'all...I've been reading about how women are CONVINCED that this or that test is "necessary" when really it's just for the doctor to keep his rear covered and his malpractice insurance prices down...so women are told things that are scary sounding and made to feel like they have to submit to unnecessary testing and needle sticks and exams and such.

this freaks me out.

I don't like being fibbed to and I don't like being a pin cushion so the doctor can have lower insurance premiums.

am I just a nut?

I had kidney problems when I was little and i was in and out of hospitals and a total pin cushion for big mean jerk face doctors who would say something wasn't going to hurt and then it DID...just another issue that makes the MissCammie Personality Soup!

Has anyone seen the Ricki Lake documentary "The Business of Being Born"?

I may go the hippie "Don't touch me" route.

:hippie: :flower3:

Oh my- you and I are going to get along JUST fine!!!!
The key is to educate yourself -better now than even when your pregnant. #1-get yourself a midwife- and not one that is in a practice with 5 doctors- but a midwife practice. Ask at every visit whats going to be discussed for the NEXT visit (I do this with baby doc appts too- then go home and read up on vaccines, etc)
You will be most interested in these
Mothering Magazine (very anti-c section, pro breastfeeding, natural childbirth cloth diapering, a bit left leaning)
Ina May's Guide to Childbirth (good review of what all the different tests are for -or unncessary)
Spiritual Midwifery
Birthing from Within: An Extra-Ordinary Guide to Childbirth Preparation
The THinking Womans Guide to a Better Birth- this has the best info on all those tests and what you can skip

I can tell you I will skip the majority of tests this time around.
And am I the only one who thinks the glucose test was no big deal? I thought the tiny little bottle was like doing a shot- and it didnt taste all that bad. I mean I wouldnt want a shake or a whole glass, but it was nothing to drink that tiny amount.:confused3

Oh good- Im glad you laughed- I was trying to CAREFULLY choose my words. Well Im just sayin- your girls NEED those cruise outfits!!! I know, I know you arent going on a <gasp> Disney cruise- but still.

all y'all are so funny! I love this place!! I seriously just watched a YouTube home birth...the woman had tattoos all over her pregnant belly. She gave birth in a kiddie pool...just her midwife and her doula and her husband.

sounds like a plan to me!

or I'll raise dogs.

I like dogs.

a lot.

woof.

I just wrote down all the titles you gave me...iffen I should ever be in need of them.

I have got babies on the BRAIN right now. I'm just a weepy mess. I'm annoying MYSELF.

Y'all's kids are too cute. That's my problem. Cute kids in darling clothes. My husband had threatened to ground me from this thread if I didn't stop crying over it!

:lmao:

silly husband. He's not the boss of me!

:cool2:

I think the glucose test is no big deal. Everyone will think I'm crazy but I actually liked the drink. It tastes just like a Sunkist or Fanta Orange drink to me and I love those on hot days! Good thing that I like them b/c with Parker they were just 100% positive that I had GD (not my regular OB but the specialist I had to see once a month) even after I passed the 1 hour test. They made me take the 3 hour test and it came up negative too. Some people just don't get it that you can gain a lot of weight while pregnant and it's just b/c you have big babies (hello 9 lbs 8 oz and 9 lbs 9 oz).

OK, wow, I'm excited to see those haltertops when you have them finished. That sounds like an AWESOME idea!

Tee! Hee! I suspect this thread has a lot to do with me being ready for another- well that and seeing DD in pig tails today really got to me- crazy, right??!!. And I dont know WHY- but I've been, er, um, really wanting some, if ya'll know what I mean. But Im restraining myself, cause I got that upper endoscopy and radioactive scrambled eggs to look forward to next week.
cute clothes + cute kids= hmmmmmm????
I swear, dressing DD is my favorite part of being a Mom. Growing up I was very anti-pink, anti-ruffles, anti-shopping, anti-dolls. Now- Im very open to doing those things. I did hate pink when she was born- whats up with baby girl clothes ONLY coming in pink! I like choices! Good think I sew now.
I hope if I get pg I have another girl.

Ms_McKenna: Have you heard for sure about the adoption? I hope so! Do you need different princess fabric?? I think I still have some after the sale. I'll look when I get back!

This is not our baby ... it will be a year before we know if she stays. We did say yes to an adoptive placement right before Princess came. We are going to see them again tomorrow. :goodvibes The little girl has just turned four and will turn five next year on our Disney trip. The little guy is 1 will be 2 in Jan. Have you seen any princess fabric with little girls that are AA on it? That is what I have been looking for.

Also where can I still get the fabric that everyone uses for Epcot? I have a little bit of it the I think it is called Hands across the world? I would really like some with the faces on it though. Any ideas? Cause I am not seeing them on Voldemort. :(

Since we seem to wearing Miss Cammie down on the baby thing.....here's some more pics to keep the feeling alive!

This is Michael, he was just a couple of months old (pre-digital).

Sorry, I just had to weigh in on this subject too. I am one of the needle phobic too. I had Hep A when I was 3 and actually remember being strapped down for blood for liver enzymes. Had to be checked every day for 3 weeks to make sure there was no liver damage. I happily submitted to every test and had my baby in a hospital, b/c my best friend almost lost her baby and her life 9 months before I had mine. Her baby was jsut too big to fit through her pelvis. It was literally a spatial impossibility and b/c she insisted on natural and was so anti c section they almost waited untill it was too late. The baby has heart deceleration and she started bleeding heavily. The doctor had suggested a ce section hours before, but she insisted that she would have the baby ******lly. I don't tell this to scare anyone, but as a caution not to insist too much on no medical intervention. It can really be necessary sometimes. She only gained like 25 lbs and had a 9 lb baby.

You must have missed the post. We set sail on the Disney wonder on October 19th...I didn't have the heart to stick to the Carnival cruise...well you know how much I love those hairy chest contests, but I couldn't subject my girls to that...:rotfl:

Just got home from the carnival and soccer, what a long night! Maybe I'll catch up, maybe I won't, lol.

This is for Angela to show her my haircut. I am growing the layers out in the front and the back is cut short. I like it and I think I'll like it more when the layers are grown out more.

Look how crazy I look! I took four pictures and this was the best one.

BTW, how did you dress/handbag do at the auction?

Since I am in a show-off kind of mood, here is the oldest picture of the kids I have on the computer. They could have been so cute in customs: I just didn't know!

Look how little they are! :sad1:

Thanks! I don't know, the last time I checked before we left it had no bids. :sad2: But we left early for soccer, so I am hopeful that someone bid on it.

Ok, my mom sent some pics, since we lost all of our pictures. :sad1:

this is Spencer right after he was born (not cute):
