I'm sorry that happened! Maybe after you hand sew it like Stephres suggested, you could add some wide accent ribbon horizontally over both button holes? Maybe it would look like you planned it that way? Good luck! I can see myself doing something like that too!

1) Isn't it funny how those things stick with us? I had a boyfriend in college who told me I had the kind of body that looked better in clothes. Every time I put on swimsuit I think about it. :headache: Your hands look perfectly normal to me. I think we are way too hard on ourselves.

2) Poor Arminda! I'm glad your kitty didn't disect a bunny in front of her.

3) You cracky me up! :rotfl2: I had go back and look at all my pictures to find it! He has about five balls, so they are everywhere.

Thank you!

1.) What a nice boyfriend! sheesh! and, thanks! While at our meeting the other day, I was standing next to my brother while we were singing, and I look over at his hands, and I really think we should switch hands, because he has some of the prettiest hands I've ever seen! :confused3 :rotfl2: NOT FAIR!

3.) Glad I could cracky you up! :rotfl:

Oh no! I am so sorry! What I would do is put fraycheck on it, that should keep it from fraying. Then I would hand-stitch it back together with the same color thread as the fabric. It's in the back right? It shouldn't be too noticable.

That's what I was going to suggest too! :thumbsup2
Wow lots of great new dresses!

I have loved everything. I want to get some of that "driving" fabric.

I am stressing out today.

Remember my van accident? I think I posted this on the original thread way back in January. The truck driver pleaded not guilty, so I have to go to traffic court. I am so nervous, I have never been any kind of court what so ever. But I was subpoenaed and so was my husband so we have to go.

Uggh, how very stressful Nancy! How the heck could he actually pleed not guilty! :confused3 You will do fine, I'm sure. At least you will have your husband there.

How would go about fixing it?

My seam ripper slipped when opening button holes.:sad1: :sad1: I'm so upset, I didn't make any mistakes on the rest of the shirt.

Thanks, Emily
I think the way that Stephres said sounds like it would work. I have done that before, but don't remember if I fixed it or not.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. You will win, because I'm looking at the position of the truck and it looks like he is coming out of a side street or a parking lot and that puts him as the one that is at fault. I was in a similar situation and it was my fault. :scared1:

They have to plead not guilty or they could lose their commercial license...which he clearly should! It's a "plead not guilty no matter how guilty you look" defense. Dopes. Don't worry...this picture definitely speaks volumes!! I hope all y'all were okay. :goodvibes

Those look great Heather and Tessa is such a cutie!
It's GONE, thankfully!! I really hope it stays away until December, at least. It was about 70 degrees out yesterday- it was wonderful!! Tessa was trying to see if the blossoms on our ***** willow tree smelled good. :)

Isn't that the MOST frustrating thing? You're almost done and then something like this happens!

I did the same thing with Sawyer's Cars button-up shirt. I didn't use fray check, but that would have been a great idea. I just sewed it by hand with a matching thread, like others have suggested. You can't even see it now.

I sure do remember this! It's unbelievable that he's pleading "not guilty". I'm sure you'll win, but I know how nerve-wracking it can be to go to court!

ETA: The name of my tree got edited!!! :rotfl: It's a kind of tree that has little tufts that kind of look like cat paws on them. It's an alternate name for cat followed by willow. :rotfl:

I am about 2 hours north of Atlanta. Nice to meet at fellow GA peach!
Got Disney fabric in Sandy Springs? ;-)

I buy my Disney fabric at Hancock, they usually have the best selection of stuff for me. My JoAnn's in Alpharetta has a little bit but it can be hit or miss. And, as far as princesses go, whenever someone gets some in, it is gone pretty quick.

It today is another one of my kiddos b-day's so here is my 11 yr old Khrystian with his shirt i made him and his new DC shoes .
i am so glad that he is so proud to wear his shirt because it took me till 11 to finish and i am exhausted...
i was supposed to hit the dentist today but had to cancel because DH got called into work so that he could get paychecks made up so they can do some early morning firings ...:scared1:
but anyways.... On to the next sewing outfit For My Niece's B-day on sunday . But after i sleep a lil' more :rolleyes1

Take your photos with you. Years ago some idiot was goofing off on a motorcycle in a parking lot and managed to hit a curb and send it flying and it landed ON TOP OF my brand new (parked) car :scared: He plead not guilty to reckless driving and I had to go to court. I brought my photos. The judge took one look at my pics and case closed

He looks so happy and "cool" in his new shirt and shoes. I hope Jenna will let me make her clothes when she is 11.

:cool1: Happy Birthday!!!!:cool1:

The pain continued all night long so I decided to keep sewing just to get my mind off the pain....this is what I sew last night they are not perfect as I did not finish all the seams (mother will be so upset with me!!!) the fabric was really bad as it keep sliding from the machine...

2008_04180001.jpg

I am a little worried about my headache as I have shunts (VP and LPs) to alleviate pressure in the brain I already have 7 surgeries in the past 5 years and this shunts keep failing... I guess if by sunday I still have the pain I will go to the Hospital...Well I am not going to stress...like my friend Dori will say just keep sewing, just keep sewing, just keep sewing , sewing, sewing.....

Linnette

Spongemommie05 I love the shirt!!!!!!! I can't wait for my son to come from school today so I can show it to him, maybe if he see the picture he will "allow" me to sew him one:woohoo:

Thanks

Those shirts are very cute. I'm sorry that you are having so much pain. I hope that it gets better. If the pain has been there for more than 24 hours I would go to the doctor before Sunday. Maybe you can call and get a work in appointment today. The doc might be able to give you something to help.

I've been reading all your posts and love all the creations I've seen. I finally decided I would setup a little sewing space in my basement. I decided I'd just start with some pillowcase dresses and off to Walmart I went for material. Well, it's been awhile since I've been to Walmart - and I was told they no longer sell fabric:confused3 . Guess I'm out of the loop as usual.

So where do I go for inexpensive disney fabric?

Thanks Tinka for your advise... I have medication for pain..Roxanal and Percocet 10 , I took the percocet and did not help me at all, so I do know that by now I should go to the ER, but I keep hoping that is just stress and it will go away, I have this for over 14 yrs so I this point I am able to tolerate pain well, hopefully I will not get the double vision so I can keep sewing:rotfl:

BTW You all are so talented all the dresses are so breath taking and beautiful I feel a little bad just showing my little homemade outfits...but you gals inspired me....Thank You!!!!

Regular Walmart's (for the most part) do not have fabric departments anymore, but super walmart'd do. I would call the nearby super walmarts. You can also go to Jo-Ann fabric's, they always have 40% off coupons you can print on their website.

Here's my latest creation. We never seem to have the perfect outfit for downtown Disney, so I decided to create this one. I found the applique designs on YCMT and just altered them. The little mickey head on the girls shirt, and on the purse is a button. I'm happy with how it came out. It was fun to make, except that word Downtown. It took me a while to applique all of that.

HeatherSue! Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?! I'm SHOCKED!;) We had a neighbor that used to shove "kitty willows" up his nose and race his brother to see who could the most up there...they were in the ER a lot.

big surprise...

Goodness...can you call your doctor and get a hypodermic of something for the pain? That sounds dreadful. I get migraines terribly and while I despise needles, sometimes a good shot of stuff is the only thing to make the pain go away! Stress or not!!!

You are a trooper to soldier on through pain like that. I mean if percocet isn't helping you'd think somebody could slip you something TEENSY bit stronger right?

 to you!:goodvibes

:

 Thank you, Benita!! How are you feeling? Is the baby being nice?

Baby is being nice! Hopefully I'll slow down on my weight gain though. I've put on 10 pounds in the last 8 weeks and I'm not happy about it! I really want to stay around 25 pounds and I've already gained 16. I have 10-11 weeks left (they will induce me early since my babies are big) so hopefully I can stay in that range. I go to the doctor today.....it's time for that yucky Glucose test! I hate that stuff! I was supposed to go yesterday (first thing in the morning) but my DH scheduled himself somewhere else so I didn't have anyone to watch the girls so I had to reschedule myself for today at 11:15 and I am starving (since you have to fast before you take it)! I hate this stuff! Oh well, as long as the baby is healthy I can stand to miss a meal (or 2 or 3!).

It's GONE, thankfully!! I really hope it stays away until December, at least. It was about 70 degrees out yesterday- it was wonderful!! Tessa was trying to see if the blossoms on our ***** willow tree smelled good. :)

I was wondering about the ***. I thought it was funny, did you do it or did they make you change it?

THank you everyone for the kind thoughts and hugs! It helps alot. We have about 5 photos so we hope that things go quickly. It ended up costing $8,000 damage to my poor van.

I like those tops and I hope your pain gets better. I am worried I will have a killer headache by this afternoon. Maybe I should put some tylenol in my purse.
