I've read some negative reviews on the futuras on some other message boards. I've embroidered with a PE270 by Brother and an Innovis 1000 by Brother and have loved both machines.

I know that the 250 is newer than the 200 but the reviews here are similar to what I've read elsewhere. It seems some folks love them and others hate them. It may be luck of the draw??? http://www1.epinions.com/Singer_CE_200_Quantum_Futura/display_~reviews

This is one of many similar threads if you do a futura search on sew forum, again, split opinions with very little middle ground.

and yes, you do rethread with every color change so pick a machine with a threading mechanism that is smooth and simple and that doesn't break threads too often and you'll be a happier camper ;)

I got the Strawberry shortcake fabric on clearence at Joann's for $3 a yard! I bought the only 2 yards they had at mine but I would LOVE to buy more! I also got this beautiful Russian doll fabric I will be making something with tomorrow :)

No problem on the Easy ruffle instructions! lol, If anyone wants to know how to make a fabric Yoyo without a Yoyo maker, Let me know and I can post a quick tute for it! I already have the pictures for it

Please post a tute! I will have to check out Joann's for that Strawberry Shortcake fabric!

OOOH! so pretty!!! Has anyone seen these in person? I'm wondering how poofy they are !

Thank you SO much! At this point I will take ANY of them! I purchased some Embroidery designs for Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc and now just need the fabric to match! I am thinking I will make a twirl skirt (Patchwork) for the 2 older ones and a jumper dress for the Littlest! I do not have a Hancocks around here :( I checked at Joann's today and they did not have any. They were even out of the Princess prints! I am going to go to Wal mart over the weekend to see if they have any but the only one that sells fabric is about 45 minutes away :( and I never have much luck there!

If you could check for me that would be awesome!
I will totally check for you. I can run out tomorrow and check. How many yards would you want?

I finished making the Strawberry shortcake PJ pants! I am IN LOVE with this flannel backed satin like material. Okay I do not know what it was called but it was SO worth the $3 a yard I paid and I got one pair of capris (Sz 19) one pair of Capri's (sz 5) and one pair of shorts (sz 2) out of 2 yards! :rotfl: Now off to sew some more :)

and go figure the 9 year old is the only one that wanted ruffles!

Those are sooo stinkin' cute!!!

I bought the CARS fabric at Joanns probably about a month and a half ago. I went back couple days later to get more but they were all out, and I have not seen it since. I wish I had bought more! !

I hate when that happens....but I am always afraid of buying way too much!!! lol

I was away this weekend in the Bahamas. My OLDER sister turned 40 and 14 of us went on a girls-only cruise. What a blast! I did miss the kids, though. I see there's a lot of catching up to do. Always the case with this thread.

My husband wants me to get the software to create my own designs. :lmao: I want it also. I just think it is funny that he wants me to have it. When I first got my machine he couldn't wait for me to try it out. He sat there and watched me sew for awhile. He was fascinated by my machine and all of the neat things it can do. I just found out that it can sew without me using the foot pedal. :scared1: It really can do anything.

Can it get my husband to take me to Disney???? :confused3 :confused3

Cambell Scott
- Miss Cammie I lost the quote but I had to write ya back even though I am illegally on the computer in the morning (I've been banned from Dissing in the morning during school week  ) I loved the pics of Sally sewing...made me cry too! First let me know when you are coming down and second....Happy Birthday Sally Rally :bday: party: :dancer: :jumping1: :rainbow: ...my Sarah's birthday was Monday too...she turned 10!  And she wore her outfit to school today...

And while I am here.....illegally.....;) I just wanted to say how much I loved the outfits posted last night!!!! Really cute Hannah inspired stuff and Cars etc. :car: And have a great trip Michelle....take pics for us! OK off to work and grading a ton of papers :rolleyes1

I just got bad news that I really don't want to tell Jenna. I just found out that Cinderella's Golden Carousel will be closed for refurbishment until the 22nd of May. :sad1: That was her favorite ride last year.

Wow, those look cool. Even if they aren't as full as some pettiskirts, I love that the fabric has sparkle and swirls. I wish it came in other colors... but then I'd be tempted to get more than the one I'm already tempted to order. LOL

I thought the exact same thing! I wish they had these in every color! We all know how much a petti costs anywhere else, so I thought this was a great deal. I would have gobbled them up in every color for sure!

When you get them in (those that have ordered), please post a pic! I'm thinking now about what I should do for a top to go with this. I just got a really cute applique/embroidery princess carriage design. I'm thinking I might do that on a tank top. What do you think?

That sounds cute Shannon.

I haven't had time to post, let alone sew, but I did make time to shop! Besides the taxbreak code there is a code for $5 shipping, which took $7 off my order, just to let you know.

Now, should I let her have this right away or save for her birthday next month? Hmmmm....

I got the Disney one and honestly have hardly used the Disney designs! And the funny thing is I forgot I even had them and just bought a CD with the SAME designs on it! lol, I think I just got over excited since getting the PED software and wanted to use it :rotfl2: lol, or I had a brain fart.

I have the Disney Brother embroidery machine also. I hardly ever use the Disney designs since I got the PED software also. The built-in Disney designs never seem to stitch out as well as the ones I have bought or downloaded free off the internet.

Anyone know if the Disney petti is in the stores? I'm heading out to get DS's haircut today, and I'll have to make a detour into the Disney Store!!

I believe that they are. I read about them on another board, and the person that posted said that she bought one at the store, but that they were online too.

Hmmmm....Maybe I'll I mean DD will have one to post pictures of this afternoon!!

This is so cute! Sadly I don't think they ship to Canada. :sad2: And if they did, the shipping cost would be more than the skirt!!
**I just called my local DisneyStore and they have them in stock, but they're 34.95$ That nuts!! I guess we'll have to cross border shop for this . . . sigh!

I've been trying to get all my sewing stuff in order - I have my Mum's 35 year old Kenmore machine that I decided to hem some curtains with on the weekend. But I've never oiled the machine and now it's seized! I was "practicing" using some of the decorative stitches on the 3" hem and by the last curtain panel, the machine gave up.

I have to wait three days until I get the machine back to start sewing. And I have to tell my Mum that the machine she used for over 30 years took me one weekend to do damage to! Ack!!:scared1:

I am SO with you! I feel like there is gaps between the stitches in the designs that come with the machine! I used the Minnie and Mickey one where they are dnacing to put on a skirt for my daughter and I was SHOCKED!
