Where did you get big minnie dot? I'm so sad because I can't find it anywhere. I guess I wasn't paying attention well enough when everyone was buying it in bulk at Halloween. For some reason, I thought our trip was far enough away that I'd be able to get some. It's in June, that's definitely not after Halloween.

I got mine off that one site that shall not be named. However you can google Michael Miller fabric. I have seen them at a few online stores but I can't remember where right now! Sorry for the mind block.

1) On her Disney day of the week underwear, Marie is on Tuesday. That is the whole reason why she wanted the dress and she wants to wear it on Tuesday to match.

BWAHAHAHAHA:rotfl2: That is too funny! A girl after my own heart. Classic. You know when she is just a wee bit older she is doing to need matching EVERYTHING! bra, panties, shoes purse.

Do you all think it will go on sale around Halloween again - seems nuts for me to pay $8-9 a yard for this - unless that is what it cost you all???

As far as the pink polka dot goes, this is the closest I have ever seen:

It is not the biggest dot like the real Minnie dot but it is not the small stuff either. The dot is about the size of a nickel. This material was bought in 2004 but I am almost positive that I have seen it at Hobby Lobby (where this was purchased) every year since this was bought.

I will stay on the lookout for some.

I found some last night. I think its 3/8" dots. So yeah not as big, but they are not the super small ones. Michael Miller makes it as well! Score big on the Dots with him. Lots of different colors and sizes of dots.

I am wanting to surprise my daughter for her 7th bday and make her a skirt. I believe the name is called Pettitwirl. If I am right. has anyone made one and if so what type of material did you use? And for whoever saved me by taking this pic and posting it thank you times a million.

Are you talking about this one?? I got this one on the site that shall not be named, but I finally found it this weekend at Hancock Fabric store. I got a better deal on the site that shall not be named.

I love that fabric too! I want to get some of that to make dd an outfit for our trip.

YES!!!!!! The blue one is #2988 and I "see" that as having the 100 acre wood fabric and the orange one (I LOVE both views) is #2994. I can't wait to get started on those! Thanks sew much for posting those for me!
I can totally see the 100 acre wood for that pattern. I think I like that one for the blue pooh toile that I have with a medium blue underskirt. Thanks for the pattern number.

Sorry I have been away all weekend on a 2 day nationals cheer competition and then the oscars were on! No one wore anything exciting this year! Escept that fish dress. Me no likey. I am off to get caught up and then post some new outfits!

:scared: Eek! She already has more clothes than me, I can't imagine if I had to get matching everything to go with them!

Ha, I went to a "class" where a lady was basically shilling her pattern for "easy seam pants and capris," no side seams. But they were only for women. I can find you her website if you want.

Here is some. I think this is the Minnie Dot I bought on here a long time ago but the dots are quite big--bigger than the Wal-Mart Minnie dot.

They also have tons of pink polka dot. Check the "ruler" at the bottom of the picture to check dot size. Some of those dots are huge!:rotfl:

LORI - (casltecreations?) I have a question about the tutu skirt, can you help me? I know you told me at one time that you use the tutu skirt pattern from YCMT and nake slight alteratons to the waist. Would you mind sharing the difference in the waist that you make? I've just gotten this pattern and would like to make it because I've always liked how yours look. I'd like for mine to turn out similar. Can you help? TIA!

sorry I was gone all day yesterday. pm me please

If you were making a Jessie applique, what color would you use for her hair? brown or red? I know it has to be a different shade of red than her hat. I was kind of leaning toward that brown sparkley fabric that I helped someone out with in the fall. What would you use? I have never appliqued and think MAYBE I will attempt it.

Did you use a pattern for this??? I am in LOVE with this!

The bodice is YCMT stripwork jumper. For the petals, I used butterick 6660.

I don't think anyone has been brave enough to tackle that one yet! It's called a pettiskirt. I know YCMT has a pattern for it. I think you use chiffon for it.

Does anyone havea pattern or know of one for pants that doesnt have the side seams?

I use a regular pants pattern with straight legs. When I'm laying it out on the fabric, I overlap the leg pieces at the side seams just enough to remove the seam allowance at the hip. The pant legs end up being kind of full but not so full they'd be bell bottoms/flared. I usually have the inseam taper the same as the original pattern but it I want the legs even fuller, I just have the seam go straight down from the crotch. I started doing a seamless leg on pants when I was using a gingham check for some pants for Zoe. I wanted to make sure the checks matched at the seams when the idea to just eliminate the seam all together occured to me. Anything that makes sewing more streamlined is something to repeat IMO. :goodvibes

BTW - If you want to try this, make sure the grainline markings on the two pieces are evenly spaced all the way down so the fabric doesn't hang weird if it's off grain.

Here is some. I think this is the Minnie Dot I bought on here a long time ago but the dots are quite big--bigger than the Wal-Mart Minnie dot.

Oh, I really like the hot pink dot. It seems to be home dec fabric, though, and dry cleaning is recommended. Anyone bought some and washed it? I'm always so worried the fabric will shrink, bleed or just not hold up to washing and we are SO not a dry clean only family. :rotfl:

I need opinions: do you think these are too "young" for a 10 year-old?

IMHO the dress yes, seems like more for a 1st or 2nd grader, the skirt and top are more for an older girl, 3rd-4th. JMHO. hth.

Has anyone seen an outline or coloring page of a bunny easter peep?:scratchin
