[/FONT]Good morning all I am dropping in to update all of you on Emmy's Ortho visit yesterday. Well the good news is as of right now she doesn't need surgery. It lookes like being in the cast will help make it heal in the right position. Unless it heals wrong she should be fine. Thank you for letting me share with all of you I was getting so worried. I havn't slept well since she fell. And it means so much that I have all of you for support no matter how far away I am for all of you. :grouphug: to you all. Now if miss pink chicken wing ( you have to see it to laugh at it) corperates later I will take a pic and post it. I do want to find some soft princess flannel to wrap around the cask by her armpit to keep it from rubbing her side and armpit.
Yay for Emmy and for you!!

Very cute!! Maybe you could make an a-line top with them. Or, you could try one of those pinafore tops that I am multi-quoting down below!

Oh my goodness, Gabi and Camden are gorgeous kids!! So is your niece!! You are quite the photographer, in addition to being a great seamstress! We can't wait to see what else you come up with!!!

I keep thinking your little guy with the glasses is a boy we know named Hunter! Tessa thought it was him, too!
My favorite shirts are the swirly Mickeys! That was a really cool idea!! You all are going to look so cute in your matching outfits!

ETA: Do I spy Christmas decorations in the background?;)

Here is Camden, I didn't make anything here but I did take the pic and I wanted to show at least one of him since Gabi is mainly who you'll see in the following pics and I hate to leave him out :)

Love all the shirts! you have been busy, havent you?!?!

I'll be there with my family at the same time (staying at WL), but my work just doesn't compare to yours. :sad2:

Kids on spring break, too? :wizard:

ETA: easter dress pics coming soon.

Nope, mine will have Spring Break in March, but we are going in April because we'll be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and it will be the first time we'll be back at DisneyWorld since we were on our honeymoon 10 years ago! I get weepy just thinking of all that has happened since we were there as two newlyweds... I am planning on taking some pictures of our current family in the same places and poses we did 10 years ago and then framing both the old pics and the new in the same frame... If you spot my daughter when we are there, make sure you say hi!

Hi everyone. Well I made another outfit with the fabric I had left from the capris I made for The Peach!

Since my model is at school, I used the next best thing. hahaha Her life size doll I made for her. She uses it to dress it up in her old clothing! Since its her size, its a great model. hahaha

Those are some shorts she will like, however they are not as tight as she liked the baby ones. LOL, but they will work. and she will love that top. I think the purple top she is wearing today, I have some of the flowers and strawberries I saved from the scraps I will put on the shirt!

oh yes, I have some purple crocheted lace I am going to add to it, or more of that pink ribbon to match!

Ok well off to work for me. Catch up with ya'll after 10pm! Happy Sewing!!

Wow! That is all I can say!

Love all the new stuff posted today!

Looks like we have some great photographers here!

I don't see pics with "hair" tiebacks! Bwahaha!

Note to self. Work on your photography!

dork! ;) (see edit line)

LauraP22-

WOW! You photography is off the hook and you stuff is amazing!

Now I'm totally ditching the "picture taking spot" in my living room!!!!!

And taking a course in photography. And learning to sew (better).

What an inspiration!

Is spring here YET??

Glad to hear Ireland is feeling better. Off topic, but how did you come up with the name Ireland? I think it is such a pretty name.

QUOTE]

When I was pregnant, I was searching for an Irish girls name...it was difficult, because the way the names are spelled, aren't the way they are pronounced...I was plagued with this my entire life. My name is Elisa, but it is pronounced Ah-lisa. not Eliza, Alyssa, Elsie..and all of the other variations that I've had to endure...anyway, I was watching the baby story, and the little girl in the show's name was Ireland, and I thought, How perfect! and that was it. So far in her life she's met 2 other little girls named Ireland. One at Epcot, and one at the grocery store...I hear it's beginning to become a popular name...egads..I hope not.
But the downfall of naming your child a "place" name, is that it's kind of tacky to do it twice, so my dreams of naming my second daughter Syndey, fell by the wayside. Everyone poo-poohed the idea, and I said, FINE!! :headache: I'll just pick anything out of the "A" section of the baby name book, and low and behold. Alexis was born... I regret it now, and should have stuck to my guns, but it's too late, and she insists on being called Alexa, not Alexis, which is totally uncool...LOL
My neice is Alexis, my sister had letters on the wall that spelled Alexis, but the A and S kept falling down. So we all call her Lexi. princess:

Here is the first of many outfits to come. We are going to Disney in April, and after seeing all of your beautiful clothes, I wanted my daughter to have something special to wear everyday, so I am sewing like a crazy person. This is the only one I have taken pictures of so far, but I'll post others next week sometime. Edie thinks she looks so pretty in it...

VERY cute! LOVE the top and your life sized model!

I got my sewing machine back in november and finally got around to trying something.
The first thing i tried was a bandanna dress. It turned out ok, not horrible, but not good. I made this one yesterday

100_6004.jpg

Today i used a different pattern (and some fabric from the fabric swap from camelotcats :) ) I did a lot better on this one. I adjusted the measurements a little so it wouldnt be so big on my petite girl. I actually did a hem and binding on the arm holes. :cool1: Not disney, but i still wanted to share. I am not ready to cut into that fabric yet!

Thanks for all your inspiration. I never would have even got a sewing machine if it wasnt for this thread. I hope to one day be able to do half as well as many of you!

This is a great place, isn't it?
You did a great job on the pillowcase dresses! I think they both look great! Your DD is SOOOO adorable!!!!

Just thought I would share the Cat-in-the-Hat outfit that I made for my little one. You can't really see all of them in the picture but the twirl skirt has pictures of the Cat, the little boy and girl and the goldfish in the bowl. Kinda funky looking but we love funky here...hahaha.

BETH BETH BETH!!!! That is FANTASTIC!!!!!! I absolutely love it!!! Your daughter is such a cutie!!! Are you a professional photographer? You know what would look REALLY great with that skirt though???? A PETTISKIRT!! You should really look into getting one! :rotfl:

Now I'm off to make shirts with some cute Daisy fabric I got. The curtains for the girl's room will be done sooner or later.
Very very cute!!! My girls saw that monkey fabric the other day and went crazy for it!

The whole set:---------------------------------The top sheet:
sheets001Small.jpg
sheets005Small.jpg
Wow Heather! I love it! I'm sure you will come up with something completely fabulous with it!!!

Fabulous Score!!!!

I can't wait to see the customs you will be making! You know we never have intact sheets around here!

Wendy, thanks for chaning your siggy picture, that big bunny was scaring me! :rotfl: And, thanks for putting links to all your trip reports in your siggy too!!! I wanted to read your Disney Land one, but couldn't find it!
Does these go well together? I plan on making a little carpi outfit with it. but do they match nicely? or just match ok??
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j273/luvbugcreations/th
_fabric003.jpg
Well, when I saw it, I gasped, because I loved it. So, I think it goes together!
Here is what I did yesterday and today. I totally CASEd it from :wizard: . Megan loves the bunny peep. I had my first serger accident, sliced a big hole in the peasant dress. Thankfully it's under the jumper so it's ok.

th_IMG_0088.jpg

When I went to JoAnns to get the clips I saw the cutest madras fabric, 40% off. Like I need something else to add to the todo pile!
That is so cute!!! Great job Stephanie!! and, please let Megan know that I love her jump rope, I've been wanting one like that for myself! And, tell her that she is a very good jump roper!!! I am very impressed!!!
Do you think it's a good idea to modify a pattern when you don't HAVE the pattern? :lmao:

I like the look of the scallops in Carla's twirl scallopini, but I didn't know if it'd be worth it for me to buy a pattern that is WAAAY too small for me.
(I mean 15"? Come on! I'm at least 5'4"! :rotfl2: )

So I cut some fabric like I *think* it could be done.
Hmm.
Looks kinda weird to me.
I can't try it out because I don't have brown thread.

But let me tell you! Those models on the YCMT site sure are beautiful and professional looking! So are the clothes!
(and yet vaguely familiar all at the same time. ;))
.

You can do it, there is a scalloped skirt pattern in the bookmarks too.

Teresa, your girls are beautiful, and love the pony outfits. I need to try that tween skirt for Caity.

It is SOOOOOO very very easy!!! And, I think it is a really cute style. Go for it! I'm thinking of CASEing Sugarbees and making some Mickey ones for my almost 10 and 14 year old neices for our trip.

I love the idea of naming your child for a culture. Anastasia , Josephine and Nicholas are all Royal Monarch names from Russia. are we russian - noooo. But I as a child was very much into cultures around the world. I traveled a bit and lived in sydney for a few years and almost went for the sydney route. But having children with royal names and given them grand names has always been a must for me! well when they were born you should have heard people -"is that from the movie?" - "such a long name for a little baby!" - and my mothers quote - " That is stupid why would you name a child something like that!" Wow that pushed me over the edge! People are always telling us all what to name our kids. Believe me If I could change my name from Lori to something grand and spectacular I would.
wait did I jsut ramble! sorry...
Lori
Don't you love it when people decide to critque the name you picked out for your child?? People did that so much when I was pregnant with Arminda. It drove me NUTS!!! People would say, "Are you going to call her Army?" then they would laugh hysterically! Not funny to a pregnant lady! Or, people would say, "How did you come up with that?" and not in just a curious-oh-that-is-such-a-neat-name kind of way either! She's named after her great-great grandmother, so it wasn't something we just pulled out of a hat, it is a special name! (not that Corey, being named after Corey Hart is any less special! :rotfl: )

OK, as promised - pics of the star wars cake and the apron dress pattern!

The cake:
bday1.jpg

I cannot take credit for the idea for the cake - I CASEd it from some dude's website. It was really fun to make, though!
Corey says that that is a very cool cake, and he then proceeded to explain to me in quite some detail exactly what was going on in that scene! I love that kid! :lovestruc

Thanks for the little tutorial, I will have to add that to the bookmarks!

hmmm, I think I missed some quotes.

Elisa, I'm glad Ireland is feeling better! When Lydia was little, she had ear infections constantly, it was so horrible! When we took her in to get tubes, they were actually suprised that her speach and balance were so good, because her eardrum was not moving the way it should. She had tubes when she was 1 1/2, and now she is 5 and has only had one ear infection since she got them! Oh, what a difference!
