I'm going to make a skirt using 3 different panels with appliques, and 3 without, and the halter top will have Tinkerbell on it. I'm still trying to decide what other character I should do for the skirt. I have Hook and Peterpan, but I'm thinking maybe the Croc? for the other, or maybe Mr. Smee? I guess I will decide tomorrow...since it's sewing day...

We saw Mr. Smee with Captain Hook. At the P & P party, there is a huge "Tick Tock" croc in the parade. How about Wendy or the little Indian girl Tiger Lilly???

Hey Tifani!! Poor little Lily. I hope she gets better very soon!!
As for the finances, have you ever heard of Dave Ramsey? I've been listening to his radio show and he has GREAT advice for anyone with financial problems.

I jsut got 3 pm's asking what tinkerbell looks like. how do you attach a pic to a PM. well until I figure that out - here it is

VERY cute! That twirl style skirt looks familiar, where have I seen it before? :rotfl: You attach a picture to a PM in exactly the same way you post on here. Just copy and past the IMG code.

Look at that gorgeous girl in her beautiful little outfit! I love it!! Were you eating at Red Robin in Michigan last night? I saw a little girl and thought to myself "I know her from somewhere." Then, I realized she looked like Nora!:rotfl:

I have the wally print version and it is just to brassy, I like the dark red from hancocks. Found out that it is discontinued and the original manufacterer is no longer making it. I called them!!! oh well, so I found some from others and also ... it will all work out!
lori
Hey, if you don't like the WalMart Minnie dot, I'm sure there are lots of people around here who would be glad to take it off your hands. :thumbsup2

Wow, that is TOOO cute! I think this is the best thing you've made! GREAT job!

What a handsome guy, his hair is stylin'! ;) So cool that you put his name on this one. Great job!

Oh my goodness, it's beautiful!! I absolutely love it!! Avery is looking gorgeous, too!!

Just wanted to say I've been gone for a few days and am just now getting caught up on this thread. Wow, you guys have made a lot while I haven't been around much. I don't have time or room to mention everyone, but GREAT JOB you all have done :)

I'm going to try to do something new today. If I get it done, I'll post it later

WELCOME TO MY 700TH POST!!!

I tried to resize them but it's not working when it post sorry.
That is officially the cutest sling I've ever seen! What a beautiful bunch of girls, too!

I am an amateur sewer with an amateur sewing machine, and I do okay. My big question is, are the princess and characters, like the one in the purple evil queen outfit, are they hand sewn or did you buy them somewhere ? TIA
Most of them are hand-done. Have you posted here before? If not :welcome: Now share some of those outfits that you "do okay" at!!

OH MY GOODNESS
THAT IS TOO MUCH

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
Thank you so much!!!!!

Who was it who made the boy's camp shirts? Like this one:

Thanks!
That was Glorib, I believe. The pattern has been discontinued. But, the last I checked you could still buy it on simplicity.com. They have a "discontinued patterns" section you can find it in.

SOOO pretty!!!

What a cool old picture! Thanks for sharing!

I was going to wait and show you the finished outfit, but it might be next year before I ever finish it...
I LOOOOOVE that fabric!!!!!!!!!!
The appliques look great, can't wait to see the finished product! I'm going to make Tessa a short Wendy dress, with appliqued capris under it. I was planning on doing Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and the crocodile.

Subscribing. :)
:welcome:!!!

Thanks for all of the sweet comments about Avery's outfit guys!

Which one of you made this dress?? It was posted a while back and there is no way I could go back and find the exact thread where it was posted.

Hi -

My birthday sweatshirt is a slow project right now - so hard to find time to make something for yourself when the kids are excited about all these little holidays and wanting outfits for them - I cant resist!!

I love the googly-eyed chicky!! This is such a cute little outfit!

I've noticed that when I resize pictures or rotate them on photobucket, they don't show up right for me. But, when others view the pictures on here, they look fine. For instance, your pictures are all right side up for me.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it!!

I know what you mean about the willies. As we speak there's a Bug's Life Sheet and a 101 Dalmations sheet at our local thrift store I've been looking at. I hid them so no one would buy them (yes I did! ;) ) I just want 2 squares of each. I need to be paid first from babysitting.

That was a cool find! Especially new and in the package.

You KNOW they stashed it away :rolleyes1

"What pillowcase, Mommy?"

What size square are you looking for Wendy? I can check and see what I have in my box of fabric. You might not like the Bugs life I have, it's more of a terry type fabric.

teehee - I was looking for another photo and I came across this one so had to scan and show :)

it's of my little sisters who are now almost 20 and 18 in their pettiskirts - I'm guessing they would be 4 and 6 in this pic . So obviously someone in my family knows how to make them - now to track down who so I can get directions :)

The lady in the picture is looking at them lovingly do you think she made them?
That's just the cutest picture!
Susan

I finished a couple of more things for Leighanna.

This is the Farbenmix Anna pattern. Leighanna really likes it. She wore it to church today.

Very similar to the Butterick 5019, but this has straps and a bodice lining so you don't have to use bias tape.

This is really cute! I love the back and the fabrics you used!

There are a few pages to catch up on since I have been working the past few days. So remember those baby pants with not elastic I had??? Someone has found them and look what I came home to yesterday....
Dorababypants.jpg

hahaha Looks like I will have to make another pair. This is how the conversation went.

Me: Georgia those are not for you silly.
Georgia: They are now
Me: Georgia hunny, they don't fit you in the bum bum or the waist
Georgia: But actually mother, they do, see (bends over to show me her butt)
Me: Yes I see, Can I make you another pair that might fit you a little better, please?
Georgia: Of course you can, silly. But I still get these , RIGHT????

Hahaha so yep she has those. and now I have to make another pair that actually fit her in the waist. She loves the way the legs fit.

Anyone know of a good pattern for those type of shorts?

Cute! That's one thing I did not like about the Butterick pattern, that looks very nice with the straps.

You know, to be sappy for a moment, you guys are really the best. More than once I mentioned having a problem finding a certain fabric and someone has pmed me offering to send it. I really appreciate the sense of family here and I've had a rough patch socially and this place keeps me sane (and thinking maybe I am not crazy after all). The people on this thread have been nicer to me than people in real life, including the pastor from my old church, so thank you.

Anyway...here is what I made with the fabric sent to me. I copied mytwotinks and tried gauchos. I think they turned out great. I need to tighten the elastic around the waist, they are so heavy they slide right down her skinny hips and are more like low-riders! I will definitely do them again, maybe as capris. Jacob had a soccer tournament this weekend and she got lots of compliments today from the moms. The shirt is from Wal Mart and I got the bling from the sewing expo I went to. I attempted to make some matching bows, but they look a little too "handmade" if you know what I mean.

Thats my grandmum and I don't think she made them - I have a feeling my aunty made them. Hopefully she still has some of that fabric (she is a hoarder of fabrics - she is a quilter and has 3bedrooms + a basement full of fabric - though she did just have a clean up so I'm not so sure :confused3 )

Hi Everyone!
Great job Tom on your latest...boy you sew even more than I do...:rolleyes1
If you have any left over fabric, Ireland would love one of those..:rotfl: .LOL. I also love the hair for tiebacks...you have her standing too close to the windows again...it tricked me..
Anyway here is my latest...I have been fooling around with a "real" background, and not taking the girls pictures in front of the orange wall or outside. I like the black background and tomorrow I will try the white..anyway, the one's of Ireland don't have the plexiglass under her, and the one with Alexis, (the blonde) does...I think I like it better with it...
