I love your outfit! But, I have to know where did you get the auqua swirly fabric? I  it and must get some!

I made her this pillow using one of those fabric art pieces. i embroidered princess sayings around the corners-
A dream is a wish your heart makes... cinderella
I know you, i walked with you once upon a dream... Aurora
Someday my prince will come... Snow white
Wish i could be part of your world... Ariel

On the 2 hearts up top is a heart with a B (for brooklyn)
and on the smaller heart one side says- once upon a time... and the other size says - happily ever after...

the back is embroidered too with the babys name and date of the baptism. i love the fabric i used on the back. it is actually just once piece.

i really hope my cousin likes it, even though it is 'homemade'

This is beautiful!! You should be very proud to give this gift and I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't LOVE to have such a precious gift.

That is a great outfit! I love the purple gingham with those fabrics!

You did a wonderful job on this! I really like the necklace too!! That teal and purple swirly fabric in the necklace picture it great. Do you know where you got it?

I was "absent" yesterday but I loved all the stuff you guys posted! I just can't keep up!

The camera decided to release my pictures, so here is Lydia in the Ariel outfit that Deann (tnmom25) made for her:

THANK YOU DEANN!!!!

Sooo cute! Lydia looks great in purple and she is a very talented model! :)

When I was in 8th grade I messed up my Mom's sewing machine and she banned me forever from her machine. Years later I think she felt guilty and when I had my little girl she bought me a machine. I made one halloween costume, a sheep. But life got in the way and I never touched the machine. Well you ladies have inspired me so here is what I made.

PS. I do not like to ruffle. Now to work on the boys. And Hairbows!!

This turned out great! We have been in Ariel mode around here lately! Maybe I'll eventually get enough time to get some photos off the camera.

I lost 1.5 pounds this week, for a total of 6.5!! I was shocked as I broke down and ate some Cadbury mini eggs yesterday (thanks a LOT guys!).

I've been reading for a while and I'm still 7 pages behind. I'm feeling craptacular today. But, I can move my fingers, so here I am!!:thumbsup2

We have been friends for 15 years, yet this remains the ONE thing we fight about! It is DIET PEPSI girl! Just ask UtahMama and Spongie!!!!! And you better tell me if you are pregnant again!
Actually, diet CHERRY Pepsi is the best!

Congratulations on the 1.5 pounds!!!!
Brian was so sweet before I left for the WW meeting he said, "I bet you've lost 2 pounds this week!" :lovestruc

Yeah on the weight loss!!! :cool1: :cool1: I should really get a new battery for our scale. It's been sitting with a dead battery for the last 6 months or so. I'm scared to step on it! :scared1: Sorry no pettiskirt pics yet. DH shared his lovely sick germs with me so I've been sick yesterday and today. I attempted to hand ruffle the tiers yesterday...yeah, no so much. I pulled the thread out twice and put it down until I feel better. The good news is that mom is bringing a ruffler foot with her when she comes down over spring break. Woohoo!!!! The kids are so excited to see her.

I might CASE the dress that I originally posted cause that was just too adorable. I'm not exactly sure just yet. I was tired when I bought it and not thinking straight at the time.

SOOOO cute! I LOVE!!! :lovestruc

My MIL sent me a txt early this morning, she lives about 15 mins away, and she felt it....must've been too busy and crazy getting kids off to school-didn't feel it myself! WEIRD!!!! :scared1:

Good job weight lossers! I haven't weighed myself yet :scared1: And Diet Cherry Pepsi is a perfectly acceptable alternative :thumbsup2

I made this purse last week and finally got the picture off my camera last night. I used the free pattern the came with signing up for the You Can Sew This newsletter. It is so easy and whip-upable!! I did this in about 2 hours. I brought it to my friend who hosted our Girl's Weekend last weekend. I did sew on the button closure, but I had to take the picture before it was done. I bought a ton of fat quarters at the JoAnn's sale to make more of these for Mother's Day, teacher gifts, and my other friends who saw it and had to have one - LOL!

SOOO cute! I just got that pattern myself! Dying to try...I will now that I know it's so whip-up-able! Great fabric you used too, btw!

For those that like the Farbenmix patterns, I just found this yahoo group...

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FarbStudioTantrumGroup/

They do group buys on the patterns. They have completed an order for February, but I think there will be another one in March. I've got my wish list started

And for those recently asking about what to trace a pattern onto, one of the ladies in this Yahoo group had a great suggesstion - here is part of her message:
I use soil separator cloth for my patterns. You can get it at Lowes
(not Home Depot though). It is in the plumbing section with the
drainage supplies. It is used to lay down as a sort of filter for
drain fields, etc. You get a huge roll of it for about $20. When I say
huge, I mean it -- about 50 yards or so.
Thanks for sharing the link and the great tip!

Well, my little monkey has been sick so not much posting for me. It is constantly up and down trying to make her happy. The upside is she wants a lot of rocking and cuddles, which is not the norm, and I miss it!

Poor Megan. Give her hugs from me and Tessa  I LOVE the Marie outfit!!! SOOO cute! Tessa has some of those little butterflies, like the ones on the bows. She actually wrote Arminda a letter and stuck some of them to the outside of the envelope for her. Then, she was upset that I said we'd have to hand deliver it so the butterflies didn't fall off in the mail. Wow, that was a long, pointless story, huh?

You guys, I was slated to do Jury Duty this week but haven't been called (tues. and wed.) so my daycare kids made other plans for the week...I just have myself and Norah! So I'm getting a lot of sewing done. I'll post soonly.
Yay that you got some time off! Day care is such hard work, it's nice to be able to catch your breath every once in a while!

Wow all your things look so amazing, the most I ever sewed was a mouse pin cushion with my oldest DD at 4-H a few months back, and lets just say we won't be putting that in the fair this year, next time Mom will let her do it herself, it will probable look better!! I have been intrigued by all your great ideas and I think its somthing I want to learn....now if only I can find some time and someone to teach me, LOL! I would love to start with just putting some printed Mickey heads on some regular shirts and jeans, do you all think that would be doable for a beginner. I did use a sewing machine in high school home and careers class, but that was a 10 plus years ago :)
Make sure you look in the bookmarks for learning to sew tutorials. There are lots of helpful things for beginners. I just started sewing last July when I found this thread, so you can learn a lot by just practicing! I've seen you around the Disboards before, so glad to have you here!

These look so nice and cozy. I love flannel- it calls for snuggling! Your DD is just too cute!

I was so excited I didn't want to spend the money and I was standing in front of it on the phone with him and he said put it in the cart and walk away before he changes his mind. So I grabbed and chucked (nicely in the cart and walkd really fast towards the register.:rotfl2:
IMG_0259.jpg
I've been wondering where you were!! I'm glad you're back! CONGRATULATIONS on your new sewing machine!!!   I love this fabric, it's SOO pretty!
Your pictures aren't too big at all!

WOW!! You've been busy! I love all of the outfits, but the Minnie stripwork skirt is my favorite! Would you look at that little Saylor? She is so cute, she just makes me smile! Your other DDs are gorgeous, too!

I got my new machines!!!! WOO HOO!!!! :cool1: You should see these buttonholes! I feel like a new woman! yesssssssssssssssss
Of course, I haven't even opened the serger yet....one step at a time here....
WOO-HOO! Aren't buttonholes fun when the machine does all the work!?

ISo, I finished the cutest little strip work jumper for norah and left it on her to go to Walmart to get some matching ribbon to go with the whole outfit (decoupage jeans too) to show off to the fabric ladies. After we were done shopping, she started coughing . Then gagging....then, you guessed it, HORKED up her Happy Meal alllllllll over it, my coat, and Spongie's backseat. Yup. It was perfectly clean and pressed and everything.

Oh, and Norah's fine
Okay, how evil am I that I am still snorting with laughter over this story?!

I also saw sawyers top - absolutely adorable - the little man and the top!

Thanks for your comment on Sawyer!
I LOVE this pillow. It's just absolutely gorgeous. It brought tears to my eyes looking at it. How sappy am I?

Did I ever mention the time Zoe got sick - all over me - during an outdoor concert at the zoo? We were on a small blanket surrounded on all sides by people on their own blankets. When Zoe started to get sick, I knew immediately there was no way we could walk through the crowd without her spewing all over them. Being the kind person I am, I pulled her close and tried to keep the worst confined as much as possible. Did I mention it was very HOT and I was in a tank top with built in bra? Guess where the, um, spewage pooled. Once I knew she was done, I gathered our stuff and we left as best we could. We stopped at the nearest bathroom where I was able to wash up a little before we walked back to our car. I had a change of clothes in the car for her so she was quickly back to normal but I had to wait until we made the hour long drive home. Needless to say, I was not in the right frame of mind to appreciate the humor until later. What makes me chuckle even now is remembering how she kept asking if we could stop to get something to eat because she was hungry. She didn't understand why eating was just about the LAST thing on my mind.
Oh Lisa!!!! How awful!! Of course, I'm laughing about this story, too. I'm sure I wouldn't be if it was me, though!

I'm so sad!! I was working on the Ltd too outfit in blue and I totally screwed it up!! I cut the pattern to size and put it on DD8 and it looks awful! The top was WAY too small and the bottom was way too big!! I'm so sad!! I think I'm going to take a break for a little while and watch all of you to regain my confidence! Maybe I'll focus on the tiered skirts for awhile or check out Teresajoy's bookmarks - they always make me happy! Thank you Teresajoy!

Plus all of you with your wonderful talents - you always make me happy!
So sorry to hear it isn't turning out right! My sister is pretty great with those bookmarks, isn't she?

ooooh...sorry! hate days like that...having one myself, just went to parent teacher conferences and there will be two new listings tonight...dd10 and dd6 are up for auction...
Will you take dogs in trade? :thumbsup2

it is a bad sewing day for all!!!! :grouphug:

Yesterday was a bad sewing day for me, too! I cut out all the pieces for Chip and Clarice appliques for Tessa and Sawyer. But, when I assembled them on the pressing sheet, I didn't like the way they looked. So, I'm going to start over. UGH!
