Ohh, I almost forgot. My recurring dream: I just had it last night in fact. I am driving in the car and I step on the brakes and nothing! Then I usually slide off the bridge or embankment or whatever. Usually a bridge and into the ocean. I have to try my hardest to wake up before we hit the water so I don't have to worry will I get the window down, seat belts unbuckled and everyone out of the car before we all drown. I wish I knew of a way to make it stop!
Another scary dream! I hope you don't have it too often.
Ok...finally..hehe...Here are a few pics of the tutu dress I made for Violette for Halloween. She was a flower fairy.
I like the tutu dress. The other thing though gives me a serious case of the chills.

I had to cover the screen so Lydia wouldn't see it.
SO, I went into Joanns today for one little piece of ribbon
I don't know what happened, but among other things, I wound up with this:
I hope glorib doesn't mind if I CASE her by making a wrap skirt and pageboy hat for Lily?
So pretty!!! I can't wait to see your outfits!
Since I'm sharing, I think it was Teresa who asked about my name stories, so I'll share those, too.
Whew! That was very long-winded! Sorry!
Thank you!!! I love your kids names, I can't imagine them as anything else either!
On a related note, we have a family wedding this summer. I was thinking of making both Lauren and I coordinating dresses - something in a floral print for me and something coordinating but not matchy-matchy. DH says we will look dorky. What are your thoughts?
I think you should do it, I don't think it would look dorky at all!
So there you go. Thanks for sharing all your amazing creations!!!!
Hi! Thanks for sharing your name stories!!!
To pick on my kid and do nothing! We are out of there! Jojo goes to there preschool and will for the last 7 weeks of school!
So last night she asks when I wil lstart sewing for her now. I told her she said she did not want me to anymore! Well I guess that girl thought she was ugly in my clothes!!!! So that mean girl influenced everything and I am glad she is out of that school!!
Lori
Lori, I'm so sorry Anastasia had to go through this!!!

Poor little girl. I'm glad you found a new school that is a much better fit!
So I talked to the neighbor girl again and she said "no, Seth wasn't doing anything, Jase just punched him"
That is just awful! Poor Seth.
Here we are meeting Cinderella in the Castle. This is Heidi's 6th birthday. She's wearing her Tinker Bell. Aleah has on her Minnie Mouse outfit.
Same day. The girls at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
And a pic of Colby and myself. It was supposed to be a picture of our Mickey shirts, but the photographer was 10 year old.
I love the pictures!!! It's nice to see you too!
Thank You Kell and Georgia!!
Luke loves his Madagascar (or as he used to call it (oscar oscar) p.j.s In fact they turned out so cute I'll let him wear them for "everyday clothes" if he wants (like right now because he won't take them off).
Yikes! Looks like someone's hair needs a trim. Why does it take a photo for me to realize this? Poor boy can hardly see
Doing "The Luke"
I did the 5 minute "frayed" applique

I tried to get the fraying started with my fingernail. I like it!
Luke looks adorable!!!! I showed Lydia this picture and told her that it was Tessa's Luke. Brian, sitting across the room said, "WHAT? what did you say???" So I told him that Tessa said she is going to marry Luke (she told me that Friday). So, Brian asked Lydia what she thought of it, and I swear Lydia had that look on her face that Luke gets when he sees a picture of Tessa! It was so cute!
So, now Uncle Brian knows all about Luke too!
Here's Gabi's new outfit, she'll probably wear a tee shirt under the top when we go to Disney as she is so pale and burns so easily. I also am making them a bit big for now as we don't go until September
Love the outfit!!! When Lydia saw it she said, "OOOOOH! That is sooooooo cute!!!!!"
Hi all!
I'm loving all the new creations (and eating up the sweet compliments on my patterns - THANK YOU)!!!
(1) not knowing my locker combination, (2) having signed up for a class and only attended it a few times and forgotten that is where I should be at that time of the week and the textbook is in that locker that I forgot about, (3) being ultra close to graduation, but forgot to take a PE credit or something, (4) absentmindedly bringing home radioactive experiments, and having guys with Geiger counters show up at my apartment or (5) having no clothes on because of some wardrobe oversight.
Oh - and baby names! I wanted to quickly share where we came up with the name Louie

. My husband's name is Delmar - he is named after his dad. My father's name is Louis. Originally, we were going to name our little guy Delmar Louis. One day, my husband said "you know, my father already has a namesake - let's give your dad one. " So we flipped it, and Louie is Louis Delmar

.
Carla
Love the name story, it is so sweet!!
I can't say I've ever had the radioactive experiment dream! That is a new one to me!
Good luck with the move! I hope you still have time to design!
Why don't you take 2 colors of ricrack and twist them together?
That is pretty cute. Here's a picture:

I am fixing to applique the Incredibles logo onto a shirt and I can't decide what colors to do.
Here is the logo:
Would you---
a.) go around the whole thing in black
b.) go around all of the "i" in yellow and both swirls in orange (that would do the whole applique)
c.) or do something else. If this is your answer -- what would you do?
I have the applique ironed on the shirt except for the white dot. I have one cut out but I didn't iron it on yet. I don't think it needs it and nowhere else in the whole outfit is there any white. Would you go ahead and add it or leave it off?
Thanks ladies!!!!
I like b with or without the dot.
Hi All...I'm just posting to subscribe to this thread, I don't want to miss anything! LOL. I've been reading Disboards for a long time, but never looked at this thread before...for some reason I thought it was a shopping thread!

But now that I know it is a sewing thread....

I'll be reading all the time!!
I love the adorable outfits that you've all been making for your kids (and yourselves). I'm not a huge garment sewer, but I am a heavy duty quilting addict!!
I have an 11 yo DD anda 5 yo DS. When DD was little I made her a few outfits, but I think that now she wouldn't be caught dead in something I could make. I just pointed out a picture I saw with a cute dress made from a tank top and she said "NO WAY". Sigh. Oh well.

Glad you found us!!!
Thank you! i cant wait to see what you make with them! Are you feeling any better?
I'm feeling much better! Thanks for asking.
