Disboutiquer's End of January Meet!

I didn't even see this comment! I LOVE not going into a park! But I also love hanging out with my friend Jeanne! I gave her a taste of no parks in October. Of course, I had a good reason, it rained every stinkin' day almost!



Not a burden at all and I hate that Piper felt that way!

Piper, I totally LOVE not going on rides too! We would be a good match! I easily adjust for who I travel with or am in the parks with though. Last May I had to do it all since it was just me and Dallas with my friend. Of course, we did send the kids on Star Wars by themselves. They had so much fun (we walked them through the line and just went out the exit and waited by the doors).

There are a lot of rides that I can do--I just can't do most of the ones with health warnings--a few of them are okay. But I also love the shows, parades, etc.

I love the parades too, but dh and dd15 never want to see them. Since we started going as a family in 2005 I think we have seen maybe 3 full parades...and the family parade what we were in and almost died of heat exhuastion!

I just wanted to pop in and say I'm so excited to see all of you! Hopefully we'll all have fun hanging out after we eat, like we did at the last Disboutique meet at ESPN! It's hard to talk to everyone at the restaurant, but we'll be able to mingle afterward.

BTW, I did check when we were there a couple of weeks ago and was told that no reservations were necessary at ESPN.

Also, I have switched resorts to POFQ. On the disABILITIES board there is a long thread about how many ECVs are at Pop and how difficult it is to get bus transportation since only 2 at a time can load. That means that if there are 2 ahead of you you wait an additional 20 minutes and 4 ahead of you, you wait an additional 40 minutes. Now some busses hold 3 ECVs, but they are rare.

When I was at POFQ in Dec., I didn't have to wait for several busses!

If WDW keeps the "change" we saw yesterday, being at POFQ may not help you much. A CM was routing everyone from DTD to POFQ, then to Epcot to catch a bus back to their resort. According to the CM this goes on every morning until atleast 11 am when they start running buses from DTD to resorts directly.

The CM I spoke to was less than thrilled with the change and was encouraging everyone to complain to WDW.

Have you considered CB? They have a little better food court and to my knowledge doesn't share buses. It IS a large resort, but has several bus stops (similar to POFQ).

Now that the holidays are past I am really looking forward to our next trip and the meet! We have changed resorts from Wilderness Lodge to Old Key West. Can't wait!

Can I be a pain in the rear? Can you all post a picture of yourself so we all know what you look like? I know, I know, no one likes their picture, but it goes way smoother if I know who I am going up to talk to! I am going to find a picture of me now. A few of you are my facebook friends so that helps alot (and if I am not, friend me, Jessica Sines Lee). I realized when I saw a picture of Ellen a few weeks ago, that it was the first time I ever saw what she looked like!
