I received the DC card in May. I was told I won't be able to use the card when we go next April. We will be going during spring break. I called Disney and spoke to someone in regards to this and the woman that I spoke to told me there aren't many discounts during that time if not any. The cost of the card was $39.95 for the year. DISaver is a few dollars more. Is DISavers the same as Dreams Unlimited? I am a little confused? Would it be worth it for me to join DISavers and send back the DC card? I know I've asked some questions here about this before and everyone told me to book at WDW now and maybe if the discounts come out then I 'll be able to get them. The woman at Disney told me the same. DISavers does sound like a better deal. They will even apply a DC discount. I did not book our room at WDW. I got a really good deal at the Enclave resort. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with continental breakfast each morning for $119 plus tax per night. It's a deal I really couldn't pass up. There are 5 in my family and we are going with 4 other families. Kind of a small reunion. My hubby,my 3 kids(ages 9,14 & 16) and myself really wanted to stay on site but for our large family it's a little too expensive at that time of year. This is why I thought I'd be able to get some discounts with the DC card. We have stayed off site a few times before and wanted to stay on site this time. It sounds so wonderful staying at the on site resorts. Unfortunately Spring Break is the only time we can all get together. If you can help with any ideas or info. please let me know. And if anyone has used Dreams Unlimited or DISavers let me know. Thanks and sorry for the long post. Connie

Spring Break is a difficult time to get discounts at WDW. The great thing about DISavers is that you will still receive a rebate on reservations booked at peak travel times.

I actually love my DC card :D Not only can I save at WDW, I can also use it at the Disney Store.

Hi! I have not used DisSavers yet, but plan to on my trip next year. I have used Dreams Unlimited and would not hesitate to use them again. I currently have a DCL ressie thru them, and used them last year for a week long WDW vacation. They are great! I use my DC card a lot, at the Disney Store and thru the catalog (I am a snowglobe collector so I easily save the 39.00). It saved me a lot on my last Disney vacation.

The way I justify my DC card is as follows.
If you can spend $400 dollars on Disney products in one year the card has paid for itself. (That's based on an average 10% discount). Any more spent during that year is a savings!

Disney products that are eligible for the DC discount fall into several categories.
Two main ones I emphasize are the Disney store & World of Disney @ Downtown Disney in WDW.
I don't use the online store so don't know if that applies (if so, so much the better).
There are other places like restaurants, Disney Resorts (at certain times of the year) and National car rental. This is not all I'm sure.

I emphasize that when we go to the world we refrain from buying our souvenirs from the parks since most all of the things you can get at the parks are also sold at World of Disney. There are a few specialty items that are only available at the parks like Figment & AK stuff.

Sorry this is long & hope it helps!
