Disappointed the CP packages are going to be available so soon...

I just want to make sure I understand what everyone is anticipating with the CP dining packages...

I was not expecting them to open up until mid to late July, so I am shocked that everyone is expecting June 26th!!!

We are arriving for our Christmas trip on December 25th, so our 180 day window does not open until June 28th. Am I right to assume then that people will be making CP reservations for 2 whole days before we can join in?? I've never been in this position before...usually everyone has equal footing because the reservations do not open up until after everyone's 180 day window has come and gone...
We are a party of 8 visiting during the busiest week of the year, so hoping to get a reservation at a decent time was already going to be tough...now it seems like it might be impossible!

I'm assuming there's no chance they will open up the CP packages to everyone on June 26th, regardless of the 180 day rule??

I believe you cna book the packages as soon as they open, whether you are within your 180 days or not.

I can't imagine the 180 rule would apply, since this is more of a special even than a standard ADR. Or maybe those last 2 days won't release until their 180 mark? Interesting thought.

After waiting on hold for 45 minutes I was told that we can't book the Cp yet because we are 2 days shy of our 180 day mark. We aren't going to get anything. I'm so disappointed.

If you are a Disney resort guest, you can log in to book up to 10 days past your check in day. I just booked for Christmas Day. Gary Sinise, woot!!

So sorry! Did you ask to speak to a manager or someone in charge? Seems a bit unfair, I always thought the CP was different from regular ADR's.

I was told the same thing...regular 180 day rule applies. I'm arriving Dec. 26th so can't make ANY ADRs till Friday...

They did check with a manager because they thought it was a mistake, but no luck. I'll try in Thursday (we arrive on 12/25) and keep my fingers crossed! Christmas week ressies are sooo stressful!!!

I am nervous too! Can't book anything until Saturday! This is our 10 year anniversary on Dec 28 and we always go to the candlelight processional on our anniversary if we are at Disney at that time. We don't check in until Dec 27 and I am so nervous that we are not going to be able to get in anywhere decent (if at all-my biggest fear!).
