I guess I'm just venting, I need to change my reservation because of the hurricane and i am very frustrated having to call the toll number. I planned to bite the long distance bill and call, but after listening to basically 5 mins of ads in the automated system, I was told it would be a 45 min wait! I after spending thousands to visiting the resort I feel sick in having to spend so much money to modify my reservation. Making matter worse they won't modify via chat or email and the online system tells me to call!

Anyone have any tips or toll-free numbers? Or want to vent? :(

Agreed!! It cost me $12 to book my daughter's appointment at Anna and Elsa's Boutique and $18 to book our Fantasmic Premium seating package. Those phone calls sure add up!

Use 10-10-710.
99 cents for up to 110 minutes.
Yup ^^ this is the way to go! If you want to read up on the service here's the website
Caztel --Pay Less for Long Distance Calls

I go to my parents house and use their preferred rate long distance. It is only 15 cents a minute. So as long as its not ridiculously long it is not that bad.

If you have a GMail account you can make phone calls for free. I use it all the time to the USA and it sounds great.
Here's a quick video:

I didn't think Disney had toll free numbers anywhere?

I have a ton of North American dialling included in my monthly phone plan for something like $5, so don't really think about it. DW likes to talk to her far flung relations a lot.

That GMail calling feature looks really interesting. I don't make many long distance calls but I may have to give that one a try.

Great suggestions here. I had no idea these were available! I'll have to keep them in mind next time.

Evenn the Americians dont get a 800 number. We get one for dvc but in a way we pay for with dues.

I really resented it when my account had all kinds of errors during the MDE rollout and I had to spend money calling in to fix it over and over.
Someone here suggested using the Google Hangouts Dialer. I added the app and it's free wifi calling. The sound and clarity is excellent and it's free!

I use this number (tickets & events line but they will transfer you to whoever you want to speak to). It works like a charm

1 (888) 870-9173

I was going to suggest Skype but will try the hangouts dialer myself. Already had the app but never thought to use it for LD calls!

Hangouts works for free calling to US and Canada. I use Keep Calling App to call elsewhere for low rates. It's about 2-3 cents per minute to Asia.
