Not sure if anyone knew this but Green Day are touring the UK in Jan/Feb next year and tickets went on sale today.
One of the venues was announced as Plymouth and I thought, excellent
I'll pop down on Saturday morning and secure a couple of tickets
So I arrived this morning DW in tow in the cold dawn air at 8am the box office didn;t open until 9:30 and whilst there were plenty in the queue it didn't look too bad.
Anyway after waiting for over 2 hours an official looking gentleman came out and picked a point about 50 people ahead of me and said to everybody waiting behind that point that they definitely wouldnt be getting tickets
. I was slightly annoyed at this point as a lot of tickets seemed to be going to people who were turning up late but joining in with their mates further up the queue, which just isn't cricket in my mind
Anyway I have stewed about it all day and I have decided that it's a chance that I might not get again so I have bought some tickets on-line for the Manchester Evening News Arena. This might be a bit of a trek but it's better than giving the money to one of the queue jumpers who bought a couple of extra tickets that I could have had in order to make a fast buck on ebay where a £22.50 ticket is selling for £60 or more
Anyway the problem I now have is that I have never been to Manchester and have no idea where the MEN Arena is and what hotels are in the area to stay at
So if someone has any information on this and could offer me some advice I would be very grateful.
Thank you for rreading this long winded post
