I just read your review Stacey and LOVED it!! We were there about the same time you were (a couple weeks later actually) from January 31-February 8. We loved Kona and Le Cellier too

When you talk about being a planner...ohhh I am so a planner! We leave in 18 months and I already have my "2009 dining planner" with all the tentative TS restaurants on it

Again, great review ...it has inspired me to be the food porn picture taker on our next trip

The planning is half the fun!!! I am planning our next trip - either Christmas or early 08. It will be our first stay at a luxury resort! It is hard to pic TS places because I have favorites, but I want to try new ones too....Such a dilemma! Thanks for reading! I look forward to your pictures!

Neat! We are going Oct 26-Nov 3, and staying at BWI. I've made my ADR's, but they are subject to change. LOL So far I have:

Oct 26: dinnner at RFC (I've got gift cards from My Points, and the kids love it!)

Oct 27: dinner at Teppanaki (sp?) Grill

Oct 28: breakfast at Chef Mickeys, dinner at Spoodles

Oct 29: dinner at Fulton's

Oct 30: I really want Yak and Yeti's at AK, but no ADR's yet

Oct 31: dinner at O'hana

Nov 1: Fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose (worried about this one!)

Nov 2: lunch at Crystal Palace

There are several other places I would love to eat, but we just don't have enough days!

Is Yak and Yeti's open? I had the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's reserved and ended up cancelling it for a couple of reasons. With the package we had to eat very early - like 4:30. Since we were going during the low time I did not think reserved seating would be necessary (and it wasn't). The package also comes with a limited menu. We experienced this with the candlelight processional package and did not like it. However, I do want to try Mama Melrose's. Have you eaten at Fulton's before? I would like to try it.

We have done two trips with the in-laws. It has been fine. Pluses and minuses. Plus - help with kids, they love spending time with kids, they spoil the kids. Minuses - they both use those electric scooter things, I got tired of traveling with those things, I would like to do a trip with just our family but DH feels bad when he does not invite them. So I think they are making the next trip with us too. My in-laws are very easy going. They just went where ever we wanted to go. On the day we went to the waterpark, they stayed at the hotel. Next time, I plan to leave the kids with them and go to a nice restaurant with DH.

We ate at Mama Melrose's years ago and really liked it a lot. I've heard enough negative things about it lately, so that I've seriously thought about canceling. I wasn't all that thrilled with eating dinner at 4:30 either, but we just figured that we would eat a big breakfast, have a "snacky" lunch, and dinner would be ok that early. Do you think we will need the package at that time of year?

This will be our first trip to Fulton's, and I'm really looking forward to it. Dh wanted to make sure that we tried a few places we've never been before on this trip. Fulton's and Teppanaki are the ones we picked!

I am going to guess that in October you would not need a package. Just get there early. And if you go on a night with Extra Magic Hours they usually do two shows and the later one is less full. Just remember on the package the menu is limited.
