Disappearing MagicBands

I know this is not DVC specific, but figure the crowd here has more magicbands than the average person. I've noticed that my MagicBands have been periodically disappearing from my MDE account. It seems once it has been 2 years since I ordered them they are disappearing from my profile.

On a separate note, my 3 most recent MagicBands are in my profile but have no image associated with them which of course makes it difficult to know which one is which without looking at the ID#.

Anybody else having either of these things happen?

The images for recent ones are not showing for me either. I am glad you mentioned magicbands, though, because I almost forgot to add new ones I purchased in September to the stuff I am gathering for my flight on Saturday :)
 
Thanks, at least I know the non-images is not just a me issue. Still not understanding why they are being removed exactly 2 years to the date of first check-in though. The same thing is happening to my wife.

The interesting thing is I noticed that most of the missing ones are still listed in the MDE app on my phone, but they are marked inactive. When I click for more info it says something about the pin being used incorrectly too many times. Obviously not the case since they are in a drawer in the bedroom…..

I had the same problem with our last trip this past October. I ended up calling MS, they connected me to IT. They said they could see it on their end and that it was there. I was still concerned because what if when we showed up at park and we had problems, what do I do? They were not willing to help beyond their original statement. I kept checking multiple times a day, everyday before our trip. The back and forth of being there and not being there continued. But, when it was there, I took pics of it.
 

I’ve been having this issue for like a year. My bands that are currently active are all still active but I can’t see more than 6 in my account and can’t manage them. The active ones all still work at the parks but I’ve been having a lot of problems at the resorts that I never used to have. They have to reactivate our bands at the desk most stays. When I stay at BW they don’t have any bands linked to my account so they have to add them at the desk to work the door. The front desk can always see all my bands even though I can’t and they say they’ve never seen this problem either. 🤷‍♀️
 
BW is where our problems started at the end of a split stay last summer. We were good the first 10 days (split between BLT and RIV) and then we moved to BWV. None of our bands worked on the door. They relinked all of the bands we had with us (sadly 6 each) and since that time they've started disappearing.

On a side note we also weren't able to see bus times in the MDE at BWV or on our next stay 2 months later at BCV. Not sure if the two are related or not.

DH has 6 listed.

DD has 10 listed and she doesn't go with us often.

Would be interested if you go into the MDE app on your phone and then go into My Profile and then click Magicband and Cards do a bunch of inactive ones show up (ones that aren't even shown on the website). Then if you click on the inactive ones does it say that your PIN was incorrectly used a number of times?
 
I don't THINK I have missing bands, but now I need to go through and check. Because I have a bunch of bands no longer displaying their images - INCLUDING the two new 50th anniversary magicbands I just got for our upcoming Thanksgiving trip.
 
I know this is an old thread, but I'm bringing it back to life because I am getting frustrated with this. Now the special edition Rey / Kylo Ren MB I purchased in Dec. of 2019 has disappeared from my profile. I know in theory they should still work, but it is quite annoying. It all started when the BWV front desk removed and re-added our bands to our profiles when they wouldn't unlock the doors there.
 
I've noticed a lot of missing bands too. Not sure what to do about it.
They seem to fall off 2 years after activation. I've been told there is nothing that can be done. If you look in the MDE app, click on your profile, and then click on MagicBands and Cards you will probably see some of the missing ones, but they will be marked as inactive and the reason is too many incorrect PIN attempts.
 
I have started stopping at the front desk as soon as I arrive with all the bands I want to use while at that resort and I ask them to verify they will work. I have been burned too many times at both Boardwalk and Riviera :(
