We did a walk through of WWHOP this week to figure out the logistics for the party.
The park was packed. It was mostly resort guests who get in early but the park had just opened so there were some day guests as well. There was already a 2 hour wait for the wand experience.
I asked our Universal rep to estimate how many people they thought were in the area at that time and they said about 2500 and that wasn't counting the folks waiting in the queue's for rides.
We are limiting our party to 700.
If you want the opportunity to ride Forbidden Journey as many times as you like this is it.
Imagine being in the park with just you and 700 other theme park fans!!!!
Have just come back to visit the Boards. Dont have a trip in the pipeline, which in and of itself is upsetting, and have been reading about the DISapalooza. Gotta tell ya, it sounds tempting! We have been holding off on Universal until DS was a bit older, and I am thinking this opportunity might be the perfect time. I am going to send a request for a quote through the DU site tomorrow as I am going to need your help figuring out the best way to do this - we would likely stay at Universal for a few days, maybe get a package, and then head to WDW. With the free dining, it might make sense to get a package there too, but we are also DVC so I am hoping you can crunch some numbers for me!! Thanks - glad this has given me the opportunity to put my planning hat back on!
We are very excited!!! We are booked for Dizapalooza...... We are staying at Royal Pacifica Dec 8th - Dec 11th....
It will be hard too not go over to WDW so I must atleast plan a day at DTD!
So excited too see the WWOHP without a ton of people...Want too try the butterbeer too...
Even if the weather is cool...it will set the mood! We were at WDW at the same time last year and it was rather chilly...Nighttime was really cool.
We needed hats, gloves and scarves..
I guess I'm a bit confused... Is this party really just two hours long? I checked out the link sent by Dreams Unlimited and saw that it was $135 for just the three of us and only 2 hours long.

The party is from 9:30pm until midnight and it's going to be just us in the WWoHP. I think it's a great deal considering you won't be fighting with day guests and waiting in LONG lines to tour the area. There's a limited number of people coming which will keep the area manageable.
I had a good time with Phamton tonight. Even though there were quite a few people in attendance, everyone was spread out so it wasn't crowded at all. We walked around and rode Flight of the Hippogriff. I had forgotten how much fun it is.
The weather was pretty decent...no rain but a little on the cool side.
Butterbeer was free. Phamton let me try the frozen variety...not bad but waaaay too sweet for me to drink the whole thing.
