I am posting on Disneyland Paris Forum also.

My wife & I are both wheelchair users living in the UK. My condition is longstanding, but my wife had a stroke recently and the cost of travel insurance for her to visit USA is prohibative.

However we can get from our house to Disneyland Paris by train in around three hours door to door.

Now I assume 'disabled' access would be much the same as Disney World.

What about the hotels? We both use hospital type beds with electric hoists for transfer. Does anyone know of medical hire companies near to DLP?

actually from what I understand HA is not nearly as comprehensive or accommodating in Paris.

you may need to ask this in DLP section of the Boards as well.

I agree with Mrsjvb - "accessible" at WDW (hotels, restaurants, parks) is dictated by American laws which likely are not the same in Paris. You indicated that you posted on the DLP forum, so hopefully someone there can better answer your questions.

Good luck and enjoy your vacation!

When I went to DLP in April I was very disappointed with access.

There are very few curb cuts and sometimes hard to find.

Most of the walkways and streets are paved with concrete paving stones or cobblestones and very uncomfortable (in my ECV)

I had an accessible room in the Disneyland Hotel. Other than the bathroom, the lighting level was worse than Animal Kingdom Lodge. There were only three electrical outlets in the room, and one of them was taken up by the refrigerator I had asked for for my medications. And I did not have a roll-in shower; the floor of the tube was at least six inches higher than the bathroom floors and the grab bars (both toilet and tub) were unsatisfactory.

Most places for eating were vary crowded and difficult to maneuver an ECV.

I'm not sure of the others, but the Disneyland Hotel did not have any quick service location; just Inventions which is a buffet and the California Grille which is table service fine dining.
