Disability pass question

On our last visit to DL in 2017 the process for disability pass was (after getting approved at guest services) was take a your “paper” from guest services to one of the blue umbrellas throughout the parks and they give you a return time. Has this process changed?

It is done via the app now. You take your phone with everyone's tickets to the umbrella and they load the ride there, like they did the cards.

As Malcon10t said, that is the CURRENT process. This will change again after the Disney Genie goes live, and you will be able to make your return time selections yourself via the app. They will, however, continue to allow you to go to the umbrellas and talk to a CM and get a return time from them if you aren't tech savvy or are having phone issues.

Nothing is confirmed, but the heavily rumored launch date is 10/1.
