Hi All

Welcome to week 2:goodvibes

How is everybody getting on, My next weigh in at Slimming World is on Wednesday, I have been fairly good this weekend, but I did have a school reunion last night and had a couple or three or four of Vodka & Diet Cokes:lmao:

I have been good with my fitbit though and done a min of 10,000 steps a day, some days even more than that so Im hoping Ive made up for it.

So have you all managed to get rid of your Christmas Chocolate and treats? I had quite a bit left so I took some into work, and gave a pile to the neighbours kids:)

Good luck for the coming week all, let us know how you are doing?:wizard:

Still suffering with chest infection but on the mend. Just been eating as & when but it's given me time to plan what I can & will do as soon as it's possible. Keep up the good work, your doing well.

Aww Sharon, hope you feel better soon, chest infections are nasty:hug:

Still full of motivation here. Had a very light eating day yesterday (a bit 5:2 ish, but without all the calorie counting), gym this morning, lifted and shifted nearly 5,000 kilos and did 30 mins of cardio. Lunch was delish: lots of different veggie sticks and a dessertspoon each o hummous and tarramasalata - not the diet, low fat stuff. Because of my diabetes I tend not to each anything that says 'reduced fat' because when they take out fat, they put in more sugar to compensate, so I have the full fat stuff just a lot less of it.

Tea tonight is a bit of an experiment: a risotto but made with barley instead of rice. Its full of good things, left over chicken, chorizo, mushrooms, onions, and peas, so it should be good, but I'll let you know!

Keep on track everyone. Looking forward to weigh in on Wednesday.

Pam

I've been waiting for Wednesday to come around to officially stand on the scales, but according to my Wii fit board today I've lost 2lb, but I'm not going to just trust that! Wednesday will be the day of reckoning!

We had a few leftover chocs/sweets from Christmas which we're eating a lot less of at the moment. I'm sure this is where most of the weight gain comes from!
I've had a yummy fruit smoothy for lunch and I'm just cooking some pork, mashed potato and peas! Yum!

I'm glad everyone is still motivated and I hope the scales are kind to us all!

How was your risotto Pam, it sounds lovely? Well done on your exercise that's good going. :thumbsup2

Well I had a good day yesterday, did 12,000 steps and last night I decided to do a little jog around the block, I did that in the rain but just wanted to see how far I could get! I suffer with COPD, thankfully quite mild but it does mean I have to work harder to get the lungs going. Im going to try and jog the same route until it gets easier and then go a little further each time.:cheer2:

I also wanted mash potato to go with my steak last night, I didn't want to use any butter or milk to make it nice and smooth, so after they had been boiled and whilst mashing I added half tub of 0% "Total" Greek yogurt and Worcestershire sauce (All free on Slimming World) for a bit of flavor and to be honest with you it was really quite delicious.:goodvibes

Fair play for going for a jog, I detest running, I have horse riders knees and they just don't like it! My BF has suggested going for a jog with him, but I think I'll feel silly as he runs a half marathon every month and I can barely make 3 miles!

You'll be surprised how quickly your regular route will become easier, you'll soon be going further afield! :woohoo:

First of all, the risotto was tasty - unfortunately it looked like sludge, but you can't have everything! It was good if you closed your eyes!!

Well done on the jogging business. I don't have horseriders knees, I have fat persons ****s instead!

Had another good gym session this morning, but only did half the cardio, as my hips were killing me. I shall go in early tomorrow before weigh in and do my cardio then.

Good luck all us Wednesday people for tomorrows weigh in.

Did anyone see the BBC programme last night on the science of dieting. I found it fascinating so took the test on line after it finished. I would have thought I was a feaster, but it turns out I'm a compulsive eater. Apparently the 5:2 diet is the best one for me. I shall see! Worth a try anyway.

Lost 1.6 kilos this week, with an overall total of 2½stone lost. I know, I think better in stones for overall weight loss. Still a long way to go though but its small steps. Need to improve my level of exercise, but I'm doing a lot of indoor walking!

While my weigh in was a little disappointing with a gain of a lb. I'm not too disheartened though as I didn't put anything on over Christmas, so I guess it's just catching up on me. I'll carry on though, now with no Christmas leftovers and see what happens next week!
Good luck to the other Wednesday Weighers (and everyone else!)

Hi all

had a bit of a naughty weekend as we had friends round which meant that I wasn't as strict with myself as I would normally have been. But I still managed to loose 1lb which I'm happy about.

Did anyone else watch the Horizon program on Monday night? It was about looking at the reasons why people over eat and matching their diet to the causes rather than saying that one diet suits all people. It's up on iPlayer and was a really interesting watch.

2lbs off for me this week. I was convinced I'd stayed the same, so was completely happy with this.

Meg, I posted about the BBC programme earlier on the thread. It's on tonight and was last night too. I've taken the test and after watching last night confirmed that I am definitely a constant craver. The 5:2 works best for me, so I'll give it a go. It's quite an eye opening programme and good to know that there are reasons (other than just greed) that we act the way we do towards food.

Well done Stacy thats not too bad at all if you didnt put on anything at all over Christmas, a lot of people would be more than happy with a gain of 1lb after eating all their Christmas treats:)

3 lb off for me. :)

:yay::yay:Yeah way to go Libby, great result:yay::yay:

Well I had a good night at slimming with a 3lb loss, that brings my total to 1st & 5lbs in 6 weeks. Im putting a lot of it down to upping my walking, using my fit bit to maximise my step count and dropping a few more carbs.:thumbsup2

Keep up the good work everyone, and hope you all have a good week:goodvibes:goodvibes

Fantastic!:cool1:

Well done everyone on the weight losses :thumbsup2

I only lost 1lb last week which I was very disappointed with as I'd stuck to my calories like glue  I'd also changed my weigh in date from what I did previously so I'm changing it back now to a Thursday :rotfl: Needless to say I did what everyone shouldn't do and had a bit of a melt down and ate some things I shouldn't have......

I'm back on it now and determined to get rid of these pounds. It's amazing how just a few pounds can make you feel rotten in your clothes. I'm back to hiding behind a cardigan for work which I hate. Treadmill will be set up (although i never end up using it...). If I don't get a better result this week I'll need to go back to the slimming club which I really don't want to do.

Good luck for the week ahead everyone :goodvibes

Julie, it's never ONLY a pound! Have you held a pound of fat in your hands? It's damn heavy. A pound is a great achievement. I'd settle for that every week, but it won't happen for me. I'm a very slow loser, so once I settle down to my regime, it's a half pound weekly for me, but at least its downwards.

Keep going, all will be well.

Pam

Well how long has it been since I was last on here...........:rotfl2::rotfl2:.......Anyway waddled into slimming world and weighed in after a very merry Christmas............:banana:.........I lost 16lbs last year and got under 13st for the first time in years..........As a man, i'm not really bothered who knows my weight........so I weighed in at 14st 4lbs (the heaviest I think I have ever been).............looked into the full length mirror..........choked back a tear............looked down and could just about see my toes........:rotfl2::rotfl2:........so off I trotted to the club..............:thumbsup2

Hope all you guys (whichever diet your on), have a fantastic week ahead...........I am determined to get under 13 stone again..........onwards and upwards...............:banana:
