DIS Unplugged Podcast Listener/Podcast Cruiser is first guest to get into WDW free

Very cool Caro and family! :yay: Happy belated birthday Andrew!:cheer2:

Very very cool!:cool1: Another DISer first :banana:Happy Bday Alanapapa & Conragtulationsparty:

Caro and Andrew, that is so cool. Congratulations! That is such an awesome thing.

Our good luck continues! We are at the airport and offered to get bumped and it worked! 400.00 flight vouchers and a night in a hotel! WOO HOO! The only downside is we don't get home until midnight tomorrow and we have school and work Monday morning.
Calypso, we fly out of Sea-Tac. We live about 15 minutes from there.

Caro and Andrew:

I know I am probably the only sicko that would think of this. When I saw the video--so cute!-- all I could think was, "Did you all have to carry those tickets around all day??? And where would you put them while you rode Space Mountain?":confused3

As others have said, I am Alanapapa, DH of Caropooh (Carolyn). I will contact the Podcast Central and talk to them about it.

It was a lot of fun. They took us in and walked us up Main Street for the video. We were also the Grand Marshals of the Parade in the afternoon.

The hat that I am wearing was a gift, along with the two oversized tickets. I will have to figure out how to mount the tickets on the wall. I just wish I had asked if we could get copies of some of the stills they took.

With the exception of the "WOW" at the end, everything was unscripted. The media people almost died laughing when DD9 said her "Well this is Disney where Dreams come true Silly" comment and they had to re-shoot that one.

I love the comment your DD made!

That was awesome!

I am so happy that a DISer was the first to receive this honor.

We are so loyal to Disney and it was nice to have a loyal fan receive the honor!

Congrats and Happy Birthday!

I hope we can go on the Podcast Cruise and meet you guys! We are still working that out.

SO COOL!! Congrats on the incredible birthday you had!!!:thumbsup2

I am certain they will be by to say hi! Their Dis names are Alanapapa and Caropooh -- we met them on the Disboards on our March '07 cruise and they are also booked for the podcast cruise.

Andrew and his family sat just over from us at dinner on the EB repo last year - couldn't have been to a nicer family.

Way to go Andrew and congratulations! And a very happy birthday! :)

We were not bumped after all. The gate agent was positive that she would need us as the flight was oversold by more than 20 seats, but 15 or so never checked in so she did not need us. She tried though.

We are back home in Seattle (where it is quite cold, 37 outside and 43 in out house).

Hi Scrappy,
The tickets fit into a bag, which made carrying them a bit easier. After the parade we went back to the room and left them there.
