DIS Unplugged Plymouth Meet - 09/20

Can you call it that when just two people meet each other?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had the pleasure of meeting the famous UrsulasShadow (Mindy) yesterday.

I had sent her a pm early in the day letting her know that we were having a yard sale (multi family at a friends), gave her the address and times. I wasn't sure she would be able to stop by (thought she would either be working or at Bob's Memorial Service).

I was sitting down eating greasy pizza (more like shoving it in my mouth since I hadn't had time to eat yet yesterday). Someone walks up and asks for me. I knew right away it was her.

We chatted for a while and I gave her a piece of chocolate cake. She told me about Bob's Memorial Service. She showed me her cistern and her DIS Unplugged Pin.

It was the first time meeting anyone from the DIS, let alone one of the most famous people from the Podcast Board. I am hoping to meet many more on my trip next week.

Awwww, it was MY pleasure! I got to meet the nicest person and the baker of the absolute BEST chocolate/chocolate chip cake I've ever had! You feed me, you own me. You've got a stalker for life now. And as you say, my cistern is portable...

I'm sorry I hadn't heard about the yard sale. My wife & I could have made it four - surely that would qualify for a "meet".

And maybe we could have gotten Webmaster Alex to come make an official DIS connection.

I have sent a PM to Mindy and Alex occasionally. Didn't ask Alex to come to the yard sale either, although I probably should have. Hope he doesn't take offense, as he is all powerful.
