DIS Unplugged: Disneyland Edition podcast | 03/05/17 | New Steakhouse 55 Breakfast

I thought this was a great episode. Just wish I could have listened "live", but it was really late on the East Coast.

When I was at Steakhouse 55 about a month ago I tried the Serrano Ham Eggs Benedict. Since I love cornbread, the corn meal biscuits is what intrigued me. I thought this breakfast was the best breakfast I had my entire trip. Now granted, I didn't really eat at any other Table Service locations for breakfast.

The corn meal biscuits did actually turn out to be somewhat similar to cornbread but a little more firm. Yes, it does have a different texture than an English muffin. But the flavors of the blood orange hollandaise, with the Serrano ham and the corn meal biscuits all worked together.

As to the "potato cake". Since I had not eaten here before, I had no point of reference and didn't remember from previous vlogs how the potatoes used to be. I didn't think the potato cake was bad. But listening to the comments from Tony and Tom, I understand why they prefer the other version of the potatoes.
