DIS Twigirls & Twiguys Coven Podcruise Meet 2.0 - date set

Once again, I agree with Tonya, with one minor change. New Moon was very difficult for me to get through, and, according to Stephenie Meyer, it is the same for most people. After you finish New Moon, go back and read it again. Maybe not until your finished reading the series, or immediately once you know how it ends, but it is much easier to handle the 2nd time around.

Of course, now that I've "met" the wolves, I can definitely see the appeal :rolleyes1

I think I did re-read New Moon before I read Eclipse now that you mention it. But I am the kind of person who doesn't have a problem with skimming the end of books to make sure everything turns out happily so it wasn't as crucial for me to enjoy the middle of New Moon. :rolleyes1 So, after the scene between Edward and Bella that made me sob and cry out "NO!!!!", I skimmed the end of the book to make sure the ending was more pleasant. (I'm trying not to give too much away for Lyn.) ;)

So, if you aren't a skip to the end of the book kinda person, then yes, you should re-read New Moon before reading Eclipse. :thumbsup2

Someone who has seen the movie needs to PM me the WOW moment at the end, please.

Why would we do THAT and ruin it for you? :lovestruc

Without providing a spoiler, it's not a "wow" because you don't know it's coming (if you've read the books). It's just NOT how you expect the movie to end.

Because it doesn't look like I am going to get to see it for a while, and I am your coven sister. I want the spoiler.:cool2:

Just got back from seeing New Moon :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Holy werewolf hotness!! Don't get me wrong, I l:love: me some RPatz, but Taylor stole this movie!!

I thought it was much better done then the first movie and the ending was certainly a jaw dropper!!

I also saw the preview for RPatz's new movie!! It looks sooooo good!!

I do this, too! I read the last few pages when I am a third the way through the book. I am just in a hurry to know that everything will be okay. Then I go back and savor as I read.

Often, when I do this it doesn't really help. The end often does not make sense out of context with the rest of the book.

I will (eventually) read the Twilight series. Promise!

I was so annoyed at reading New Moon the first time DH thought I saw going to ruin my friend's book. I kept slamming it shut. I don't skip ahead though. I re-read the whole series again before I could really appreciate New Moon.

Seems to me there will be time for reading soon...with threads slowing down while DAP is on....just sayin'! 'Course I read all 4 in 2 weeks the first time through.

:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared: What is he thinking!?!?!?!?!?! I thought better of him than that. ;) You must go to the theater NOW!!!! Don't walk - RUN!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

PM sent! Go by yourself if you have to. I'm trying to figure out how I can fit in a second viewing this weekend.

After seeing the movie, I have re-read Eclipse this week. It's my favorite in the "official" series (excluding Midnight Sun which is my true favorite). I think it's probably the second time I've read it straight through from start to finish. I've picked it up and skipped around a bit in the past after the first reading. I really enjoyed it. I flew through the books the first time. There was so much I missed.

DP volunteered to go see the movie with me in theatres. I was rather shocked. He did however, put the kibosh on buying the BluRay Twilight. (We got a brand new BR Player this weekend.) I think Best Buy has it on a Black Friday deal for it today.

Perhaps I should help Santa out and swing by Best Buy on my way home....:scratchin

You need the bluray version!!! It makes Twilight soooo much better. You'll look at it and say "where did all this color come from - it wasn't in the regular version" and "ahhh, so that is what sparkles are supposed to look like" :yay::yay::yay:

I'm looking for a reason to leave the office to pick it up. There is one by my office and one on the way home, so if I can't find it here hopefully there will be one at the one by home.

At 3:30 this morning the line to get into the Best Buy by my house was over a quarter mile long. People standing single file. The temperature was around 34°. We didn't wait in that line. We waited in the GameStop line. Ended up being the first ones as the two people in front of us bailed out.

I bought it on Bluray BEFORE I had a bluray player :rotfl:
bought the bluray player on black friday- looks great, what a difference from the DVD!
update on my NM viewings- 8 times at the theater! Just love that movie!

I am sure you probably all know this by now, but in case someone has not heard- Eclipse is going to be formatted for the imax screen!!!!!!! Way excited about this!

I have started reading Twilight for the first time. I am finding it hard to put down. Very good book.

Welcome to the group Tracey!

I saw New Moon for the second time last night. (I had gone on opening day.) It was just as good the second time. :)
