DM: Mom, DD: Dad, DB: Boyfriend
First of all, i wanna say i'm sorry for not taking pics....i did it for the first bit but then i started getting too excited and eating before i took the photos
Saturday Night, Day 1
The trip began with us actually not using the Dining Plan. The DB and I arrived late at night and met DM and DD at the airport. Instead of making reservations we were bound to break we headed instead to the Swan, and Kimono's Karaoke and Sushi Bar. This has always been one of our favorite places but, unfortunately, it wasn't included on the DDP. This enabled us to bank a TS for another night to use at either a show or a 2CR TS.
The only bad issue of the night was the fact that we arrived later then normal. The conventioners had gotten out of their meetings and everyone was "singing" their brains out. The atmosphere was very loud and very crowded. Luckily we found a spot behind a pillar so it would drown out most of the excess warbling. Why does everyone think they can sing?
Atmosphere is beautiful. Black lacker furniture, dim lighting, sit in bar, and beautiful Kimonos as wall hanging dividing the main room from the smaller, more private booths.
Kimono's is a typical sushi place so we ordered a bunch of rolls and apps and shared everything. Here's what we had:
Won Tons and Tuna Salsa $9.50
- Excellent, love that raw tuna
2 x Tekka Maki (6) $5.50
- Spicy Tuna with just enough spice
2 x Tempura Platter $10.95
- Tempura Asparagus, Shrimp, and Chicken skewers (4 of each)
Shrimp Roll (6) $6.75
- Tempura Shrimp roll
California Roll (6) $5.25
Gyoza (6) $7.50
- Pan Fried Pork Dumplings
Everyone had green tea.
This amount of food left us all stuffed. Everything was wonderful, per usual. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Problem: We drove since my parents still had the rental car. It cost us the full day fee ($9.50) to park for that hour and a half. Needless to say we won't make that mistake again. My parents were ticked.....
Next, Day 2, Magic Kingdom.
