I have just watched to original to relieve the mental scarring a bit..

I've seen Rocky Horror once on TV... it seems like the type of thing that should really be seen in a theater setting with friends, right?

Definitely a major disappointment, Ryno's review was ridiculously accurate. My boyfriend really enjoyed it, but it was just a hollow shell of the original, with no nuance or even a clear direction...

Sadly I think Rocky just isn't a play you can put on primetime television. Its risky, dirty and when you clean it up...its just not good. I will say that I thought Adam Lambert was great. I did not however understand the lollipop thing. I also didn't like the back and forth with the audience, which I know is traditional when seeing the movie in theaters but, eh. It missed its mark.
