Wow--I guess I missed this when it was first started. It's great to see so many people that I used to talk to. Those late nite chats were great!

Now--back to lurkdom.

Nice to get an update from you NurseKim. I remember a rather chilly Dole Whip meet during DIScon. And you sister is in the Disney CP. How exciting for her and for you. I hope that CP works out for her. I've heard firsthand that Disney can be a tough place to work, especially for the kids in the college program. My son only lasted 3 months at Rock'n'Roller Coaster before Disney sent him packing.

OMG. Smee, Barb, TeresaNJ, and NurseKim. It's like a DIScon reunion. I miss the old days.

Will anyone be at MouseFest 2008? Since DIScon I, I've been fortunate to visit WDW every December. This year my wife and daughter are going to be able to come too. Both of my kids are in college. Yikes. Relish these years, NurseKim. Your children will grow up way too quickly.

John, it almost like a DIScon reunion! How fun! While I won't be at Mousefest, Brian and I will be there for a few days in December again. I think a few of the old gang will be hanging around about that time, too. You never know who you might run into! I ran into Ray at the World of Disney store last year!

I'll be at WDW from 12/10 through 12/17. My wife Sue and daughter Sarah will be joining me on 12/13. Understandibly, my son James is not interested in joining us at the "Happiest Place On Earth" due in part to his sudden departure from the college program. He spent three months at WDW this summer and that was enough for him. Besides, DISers scare him.

Oh my gosh! So many old friends posting here! I started quoting but there were just too many, LOL!

We should have a reunion in chat one night! I saw Dan this summer at a Chicago DIS meet, but have not seen most of you in a very long time. I have so many wonderful memories of all my DIS friends...so many fun times online and in real life too. Glad to see the return of many faces here on the DIS..

Hi everybody! I'm still here!

I was at DISCon 1 with my DD, CDoobeeJr, aka Katelyn.

I was at DISCon 2 with my DH, Kevin. Although we were "unofficial", we still participated in several of the get togethers.

We made it to a couple of Chicago meets, too!

Sadly, my oldest DD, Hilary, passed away in May, 2006. Feels like yesterday.

My DS, Jared, is 23 and is going to turn us into grandparents in April!

Katelyn was 10 when we came to DISCon. She is now 17 and a senior in high school!!

Time flies!

Good to "see" you all again!

I love the idea for this thread! I recognize alot of the oldies here. I have never been an avid poster but I love to read and I'm usually asking for some kind of advice. When I first joined, there was a thread that I became addicted to and I was wondering if anyone remembers it - Dan, I know you were a part of it. It was something like the funniest thing you've ever seen at WDW. Well, someone posted about a family who sat down on Main St. and opened a can of CORN!! From that spawned a whole new animal! It was so funny I would just cry laughing. Although when I would try to retell it to my friends or DH, they just had a glazed over look about them - something you just had to be a part of to understand.

Anyway, this website has brought alot of knowledge and humor to my life - thanks everyone!

Yes, Katelyn is 17!! And that shy, little girl is now President of the Thespian troop at her school and is in all the plays every year. She was Lucy in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in her freshman year. She has a major role in her school play this weekend. She plays Mrs. Savage in The Curious Savage. But this same girl who loves to act and sing, still makes me order her food for her at fast-food places, because she doesn't like talking to strangers! HAHA
