DIS oldtimers (well newtimers too) where are you?

I know I'm not anywhere near an oldtimer like many on here, but I kind of feel like an oldtimer. Anyhow... Happy 4th!

I guess I would be an old timer. Started out July 2000 as Pegg, I was planning on out first trip to Disney World. Without the dis boards not sure how the trip would have turned out. We went again in 2001, where we met several Dissers at meets.

It is hard to believe it has been 6 years. I recognize most the old timers names and wonder about a few that has not posted yet. We all have been thru loads of changes. I finished up college at a ripe age, found a job I love, purchased our first home. Then life turned around and we lost two of my brothers, a sister in law and a brother in law all within the last two years. plus several hospital visits with other family members. Hopefully things will start to look better.

I lurk on the boards almost daily (do not post much), but at times it has been my way to escape the real world. Just thought I would stap and say hi. :wave2:

I took my nephews swimmmmmmin today (and yesterday) and I am the cool aunt

(OK I think I am their only aunt, or only one they know but still LOL).

I'm just a baby compared to most of you, post count wise. But thought I'd bring the thread forward and say hi. I am trying to post and make a presence. Hope it's positive.

Another pre-crasher here!! I started out as Pollyanna, but the names weren't registered back then, so there was also a pollyanna. I changed to Poohstyx to save confusion. I lurk and read a lot more than I post.
I am lucky enough to have met Dan and several others!

Hi Dan and all the other folks I have not 'seen' in a long time. Life has been full of ups and downs, mostly downs this past year and I have been taking a break from most of the things I enjoy most. It is good to be back and see things have continued just fine without me! :lmao:

I've been here since early 1998. I don't write very often but I read a lot of the posts. I had more posts, but a while back I suddenly couldn't log on anymore and I had to re-register. The first time we went to WDW was in 1984 and the next time wasn't until 1997 when our DD graduated. If only we had had the DIS back in 1997. Since then we have gone two to three times a year and have used many ideas from these boards. When did the DIS actually start? I was thinking that it wasn't too long before that because there were only a few thousand people here at that time.

I never made it to Costa Rica....long and very strange, sad story but it all worked for the best. I have the house there though....wanna buy a place on the beach :sunny:
