DIS oldtimers (well newtimers too) where are you?

It occurred to me today that I first stumbled on the DIS when we had WEBTV! That was Sept. 1997 and we started planning our trip for November 1999. In January 1998 we got our first desktop PC, a Gateway 10GB hard drive and AT& T then EarthLink dial-up. We've since upgraded to an HP PC with lots more storage and speed and have been on a cable ISP for four years. Amazing how times change!

Ok Dan...I'm going to test your memory. I'm an old timer before the crash and the wasn't around a lot I was having babies. But you met me a while ago at the Philly meet at the Rainforest cafe in the Franklin Mills Mall with my DH David. I think if I'm right Dopeygirl was there also. I'm still around and going to disney often....I leave again soon, now I'm doing it with my two DDs ages 5 and 4.

I'm newHere but oldHere. I probably haven't posted for a couple of years!

But I'm going to Florida in a couple of weeks and thought I'd check in to my old stompin' grounds, for some advice on planning.....and I found this thread!

Another dedicated lurking old timer. Our first trip to WDW was in 1986, and I was on the Prodigy board. I came here after Prodigy made its changes, and remember many people coming along. Sadly, one I remember most is Clarry Trice who lives on in many people's hearts. Times were certainly different then (though I was still a lurker). After 23 WDW visits, the kids are mostly grown and busy, and we bought a second home on Hilton Head, so my visits have lessened (but I'm hoping to get another trip in within the next year even if it's solo) but this place, and Disney World, still hold a special place in my heart.

I'm sort of "middle-aged" as far as old-time DISers go, I guess. I don't read the Community Board much anymore, I'm mainly on the Resorts/Restaurants/Cruise/VMK boards these days.

I happened to stop over here a few times in the last few days because my niece has been posting on the American Idol thread a lot and has been sending me the links to read it. LOL So..while I'm here anyway...I've been glancing at the Page 1 threads. Nice to see some familiar faces... er, I mean, UserIDs!
