DIS oldtimers (well newtimers too) where are you?

Although I first signed in as Bubie2 (forgot my password) I think I can be considered as an old timer, so...

 Everybody.
NOt sure where I fit in either, but feel old somedays! :rotfl:
Hello anyway.

I was a piggy six years ago and still a piggy......hello to you all ......oldies and newbies....great to see you all

Man-o-man!! Just checking here this AM, this is still going gangbusters!! :cool1: So nice to see so many names here, some regulars every day, some who it looks like we pulled out of lurkdom (I wonder if that is in the dictionary...lurkdom, LOL :scratchin) Oldtimers, newtimers, midtimers. I did that count thing, to see whom I have met, 10 more, 31 total. A few business trips here and there, a few solo trips to WDW help there, LOL. :hyper:

I am enjoying, as I am sure others are, the thoughts so many of you have said here, so much can be said in just a few words. And great to see we are not going :offtopic: but keeping this in a :disrocks: mode, so a big :thanks: Let's keep it going, hope lots of people check in. Come on, where are y'all? party:

I'm a newtimer to the CB and mostly a lurker everywhere else, but thought I'd join in and say HI :cool1:

Not sure I've earned the title of old time Dis'er yet... possibly more middle aged. What a sweet thread though... just had to stop and wave at Dan.

Hi Kama!! You were one of the people I was looking for on the deleted "old timer" thread. I enjoyed reading your posts about Apollo, and with the Olympics on again, it reminded me of your posts and that I hadn't seen you post in a very long time. Nice to see you. :) I guess I'm one of the old-timers, been here since May of 1998, even though it says 99, but we all lost our original posts with the board crash way back when.

Hey Dan!

Im not sure if Im an ol' timer here on the DIS or not but I do feel a strong sense of family, even those that I disagree with sometimes. One thing is for sure, we all have one common bond that holds us together, and that is our love for all things Disney. Ever since joining, I have been gradually pulled towards the DVC boards, but every so often I will lurk here on the Community and things will catch my eye.

Thanks for starting this thread. I have to say, because of the DIS, we have personally met some very nice people, and a few whom we consider to be very close friends. For those of you who havent met Dan yet, you are in for a treat when you do. He is as nice of a man as he appears here on the DIS, with a big heart.

So thanks Dan for being, you, our friend.

Hi everyone!! Gosh it's nice seeing all these familiar names!! It's like a family reunion!! party:

We together have gone thru engagements, marriages, babies, job changes, relocation, raising kids, becoming grandparents ( where are R U Nativetxn!? ;) ) sicknesses, losing loved ones and losing some of are own DISers.

Lot of emotions and feelings have passed thru these boards. :disrocks:

Thanks Dan for this fun thread. :goodvibes

Hi :wave2: I first found this site when planning a trip in the summer of 2004. It was so much fun I kept coming back after our trip was over. I have learned a lot here - and not just about Disney. Thanks for the fun.

Good Saturday morning DIS members!!!! :sunny:

The last time I checked this thread yesterday it was at 5 pages and today it's at 9 pages - that's awesome!!!! :cool1:

It's been alot fun reading everyone's posts, and seeing all the different members :) . For me the DIS is something very important in my life. I love being able to meet so many new people from so many different places. I have never had so many friends before and I hope that amount keeps growing :goodvibes .

Have a good Saturday everyone!!!

 Hello! I first started lurking here when I was planning a 1999 WDW trip. The trip got sidetracked (we ended up in Hawaii instead! :sunny: ), but I finally registered when we decided to book a DCL cruise for 2001. I used to hang out on the riddle threads. I had to take a break when work got really intense for a while, but I've been lurking again for the past month or two.

While watching the Olympic coverage this week, I was trying to remember who had Apolo Anton Ono as an avatar -- and there's Kama89 on page 1! :)

It's nice to see so many friendly faces here, both old and new! :grouphug:

I guess I qualify as an "old timer". I think I was one of the first 200 to register for the DIS back in '98 or '99.

It is definitely NOT the intimate board it once was.

I mostly lurk now, post occasionally, & avoid ALL political threads like they were kidney cancer.

Dude, am I practically the only person on this thread who hasn't met Dan?
Actually ... forgive my beer-fogged haziness (I went dancing @ Marquee tonight) ... I am about 90% sure that I haven't met Dan. He might've been sighted in passing a few years ago at the Dolphin, when I met some of the lovely ladies of the DIS.

Dana,
I have never met Dan, either. But I have spoken with him on the telephone. And -- two weeks ago I met three of the Ya Yas at my very first DIS Meet at WDW! :Pinkbounc :thumbsup2

Hi Dan
It was nice to meet you at our last Chicago dismeet about a month ago.
I always like a nice, friendly community of people! :goodvibes
