DIS oldtimers (well newtimers too) where are you?

I'd be interested in knowing when "the beginning" was. When did this site get started? I don't know how long really it had been here when I came in fall of '98.

I already posted on this thread, but I just had to post here again. I'm really enjoying reading the posts. I found the DIS when I was researching a trip in 1999. (the first trip I took after I got a computer) I registered then, posted a bit, went on the trip, posted a bit when I got back. Sometime in 2000, I re-registered since I forgot my name/password. Since I didn't go back to Disney until 2004, I stayed away. I was too jealous of people who got to go to Disney! Came back in March 2004, posted mostly on the Theme Park board, then discovered the Community Board. And I was hooked--I come here everyday I'm home.

Some day I'll get to meet some of you here---maybe we need to do a NYC/LI/NJ meet!

I think I might count as an old timer. I've been here since May 2001, I can't believe it's been almost 5 years! I was just a junior in high school, and now I'm just about to graduate college! I'm not on as much as usual because I'm so busy all the time. I work full time, I go to school full time, I have homework all the time, plus I'm always busy studying for my actuarial exams (which I study about 300 hours over a 3 month period for each exam!) Plus I need to have somewhat of a social life in there. I'm pretty much only here sometimes to visit the thread on my other obsession...American Idol!

Hey, Donna! My DH and I were at WDW two weeks ago and while in line for the Safari I was hoping that you would be our driver! It didn't happen, but I was thinking about you!

ShuisFan - You came to mind as well when I posted earlier about the "youngsters". I remember you going to your HS prom (was Dana's brother your date??) Wow - that is some major studying that you have been doing!

Sonja - I still chuckle over your pregnancy posts about "Baby Thor"!

Kathleen says David's his next cardiac catheterization and open-heart surgery should be about June for the cath and July for the surgery.

Well Dan, as you know I do IM you now and then and also email. I have the Community Board as my home page. I check almost daily and read threads. I don't answer as often as I used to because I have so little time. I did promise pictures for a lot of Dis members from my last trip and I have them still in my camera. I am up to my neck in quilting for an upcoming show so I don't do much other than work full time, part time for Mark, quilt and collapse at night.

The DIS has taken a back seat for now.

Miss it tho and the fun I used to have. Been around since 1997 so I'm an old timer. When things around here get a bit looney, I just sit back and wait for the dust to settle. It usually does and then we go on.
