Dis Old Fogies Clubhouse – Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other. Makes No Difference!

Good afternoon Fogies.

Hope you are able to catch the fireworks PiO.

That is a lot of kitty litter Alison. Luckily I don't have a cat where I have a dog.

I have been watching a lot of videos on Amazon Prime, Xfinity and Netflix since it is nice and quiet during the break. A few more days to relax until Sac Anime and a ton of basketball games to coach in January.

DAF and I had a great time last night at the Global Winter Wonderland at Cal Expo yesterday night. Boy it was so cold which was in the 30's last night.

Morning Fogies. NYE here and the skies are grey. I hope they clear up later. Hoping to go catch some fireworks.

Keeping my fingers crossed the fireworks god is good to you tonight.

I've got 22 boxes of cat littler in my car. It took five pet stores to use up all the coupons that Fran bought on eBay. They expire tomorrow so I'm glad I got it all finished yesterday and today.

I'm going to stop at the grocery store for prescriptions and burger fixings and then I'm going to be a shut in for the next two days. I hooked a spare computer up to the TV and we're streaming episodes of old TV shows off Amazon.

Now that's a lot of kitty litter. How long will it last you?

At least kitty litter doesn't have an expiration date!

That and I think I might make some French Onion soup tomorrow. It sounds good with how cold it is here. We may actually see freezing temperatures.

It's been cold up here too.

Blue Skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but Blue Skies
Do I see.

Looks like I'm heading to fireworks tonight.

Nice to hear that you will be seeing the fireworks tonight and look forward to seeing your pictures.

It's been cold up here too.

It has been cold all day today and right now at night.

Here are some more pictures from the Global Winter Wonderland from last night that I took with my camera.

Oooh! Really lovely long exposure shots, Bret.

I don't know how the fireworks are going to turn out tonight. We decided to go for the 9.30 pm fireworks. It will still be early twilight then. I might have blue sky in the pictures. We decided not to stay for the midnight fireworks. They shoot them from all over the city buildings now and it is hard to get a nice panoramic of all of the fireworks. Besides, we will have about 5 teenagers with us and I think they might not last to midnight in the crowd. So, we'll come home after the early fireworks and stay up in the comfort of home.

Thanks PiO. It was nice to take pictures that night and was good practice to work on my long exposure shots.

Have a fun tonight.

A few completely random pictures.

I harvested some produce from the garden. My first squash and zucchini of this growing season. And the oak leaf lettuces have completely benefitted from a warm summer. Thankfully, it hasn't been too hot that their leaves burnt. It was a good gamble to put them in for Christmas.

And my catification project.....

We ended up putting some carpet down on the shelves. Alison - if you do decide to do something at your place, we got matt finished shelves and the cats didn't like it. The cats do prefer the carpet. I just got a few meters of carpet from the home hardware shop and they sold me double sided carpet tape. It was probably better than using glue as the carpet was plastic backed and we didn't know what the glue would do to the plastic.
I also got enough carpet and tape to completely line those Ikea shelves. The cats have definitely been checking out the shelving units and been much happier to get on them since I out the carpet down.

If the cats do end up using the shelves, we can add more and create that cat superhighway up high above the pictures and then trail it down again at the other side of this wall.

Now....to convince the kitties to use it! :lmao:

Your produce from your garden look very nice.

The shelves for your cats look all nice.

Nice haul from the garden PIO.

We're supposed to get down to 27 degrees tonight and the winds were over 40mph this afternoon.

Happy New Year all!!

Booked my trip to Fla at the end of January.
A little bittersweet as dd#2 is flying down with me, but not coming back. My husband's niece lives down there and has opened her home to dd. So she has decided to try Florida life. She really has nothing holding her here and she has a trade she can take wherever. It will be strange coming home on the plane without her but I want her to be happy, and she has to find her place in this world. We'll be heading to DTD for TWLOHA but not going to the parks. I just can't bring myself to do that when dgd age 4 has not been to WDW. I'll wait till I can take her. :dance3:

Nice garden haul PIO!

The catification project looks great! We already have the carpeting that we need for this project should we decide to. However we have a lot of other work that takes precedence over the cat project. I have a feeling that Haunted Mansion movie room will not be coming to fruition.

Wishing your DD all the best as she tries to spread her wings, it's nice that she's getting the opportunity to try someplace new. Hugs for you.

I love all pictures! At least it is a little warmer today. Just sitting here watching the Twilight Zone.

PIO put the kitty's on the shelves to show them it is okay.

Happy New Year Fogies!

We've been doing so almost on the half-hour. All day yesterday and this morning as well.

They just jump straight off. :(

We'll keep persevering.

Good afternoon Fogies.

Thank you.

I'm enjoying your long exposure shots of the firework trails PiO.

Hope everyone is having a great New Years and New Years Eve today. Looking forward to 2015.

Now that's a lot of kitty litter. How long will it last you?

I really have no idea, but I'm guessing at least a few months if not more.

Glad you booked your trip, I can understand why it is bittersweet, but sometimes you need to let them go, so they can come home.
