I'm laughing at the crazy cat ladies. I agree the few DIS meets I've had were pretty chatty. It's a good thing DH is working swing shift since I haven't been leaving work until real late at night. This week flew by.

I went to the Vodka Pop-Up Bar at the Old Mebourne Gaol on Friday night with some work colleagues. There were no pure vodka shots; but they filled mason jars with a shot of vodka and then diluted it with either soda of a sort or fruit juice. As part of the entry fee, you get two drinks. I ended up having one with vodka and lime and soda; and the second one was with cranberry juice.

We headed to the food vans after the first drink. Our mistake was not to eat before we starting the drinks. Food was good enough; but I was tipsy.


After meeting the crazy cat ladies, we came home to clean the house. I'm planning a very quiet day tomorrow....and cooking something from the Pioneer Woman collection for the Diner's thread.

Yeah the DIS is really unique. Not that I've met lots of pepole via FB, but ever since the cruise meets has gone slanted towards FB they haven't been nearly as ggod as the DIS ones I've been on. Next cruise o book, I'm starting the thread and making it clear that there will be a strong DIS presence regardless of what FB does.

I just made my pioneer woman inspired dish. It's one I've made for years and really tasty but LOTS of food. I'm tired and putting the pan in the fridge to deal with tomorrow!

Let's see, I have my niece's skating party tomorrow afternoon, my DS taxes to do and the highlight of the weekend, dinner at the Melting Pot Sunday night.

I've had one DIS cruise group be fantastic and one FB cruise group so I think it's just the luck of the draw. The others cruise groups we're pretty blah.

I do this on a regular basis. A "Mexican" bought me spices a while back that I use on the meat and veggies. I prefer the flour tortillas, but with the whole Dr. Bull Crap, I may have to do corn tortillas if any at all.

Yeah, on the 7AM news they didn't know, but when I got back from the Chiropractor and tried to wake up Fran, the 11AM news was all on top of it. Very sad, but he did have a long and full life. He did live long and prospered.

My work colleagues really wanted to go after I raved about the last one. It was actually not as good value as the whiskey one. The whiskey night included a food voucher as well. We had to buy our own food this time. But we got to socialise in a non-work setting; and that was worth the time!
