Dis Old Fogies Clubhouse – Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other. Makes No Difference!

We both still have a lingering cough. The Doctor gave Fran another round of stronger antibiotics and she's two days into them.

I have to go to Lowe's and buy drawer and cabinet pulls for the place that is being refurbished.

Hugs to you both, seems like the coughs want to hang on tight this year, have fun shopping. I love that kind of shopping

Yay! I'm glad they fixed your heater. I just heard from one of our tenants over the weekend that they never got their heater in the bathroom fixed from a couple months ago, but evidently every time our guys went by there, they weren't able to let them in. Stupid tenants. they have to let our people in, as they have made every attempt to fix their stuff. But if they can't let them in, we can't fix their stuff especially when they have locks that we have no keys to. That is a bad thing.

Yeah, we are, too. That's annoying that they won't let the repair guys in to fix it :( I hope they finally do.

:faint: My brain hurts after 2 days of work. :headache:

Dana - YAY for heat!

 Hope your brain hurts less! The only problem with the heat is that now it's 85 in the bedroom :lmao:

Good morning

Dana get a copy of the rules for the rental guidelines of the city it will tell you what they need to fix asap. Then they can not argue with it. I am glad they are starting to fix your issue.
I hear you on some things Alison, some tenant had a fan and we could not retrieve it until we can get them to open the door. Fans are money, and when we are short fans to use you just can't go out and buy one. They are very costly.

I actually looked up the heat regulations the night they came to fix it and we'd started keeping a written log of the temperatures in the apartment. Given the temperatures outside, I'm very glad they fixed it. We're down to -20 wind chills tonight.

Yeah, heating working here your house may get down in the 50s. Where you live it gets crazy cold!

Exactly, which is why we called to complain about it. The temperatures are supposed to extend into tomorrow, too :(

I missed out on the eating out band wagon. I made a whole chicken last night. But it was really good. I ate the skin off most of it cause it was crispy and salty.

Hi Fogies...checking in!
Happy New Year and hope everyone is getting better, getting heat and other things fixed, etc (yup, I read all the posts since my last one!).
Am heading to DTD at the end of this month for the TWLOHA get-together. It will be hard being so close to the World and not going to the parks! (I really didn't want to go without bringing my dgd for her first trip..she's 4, so we have a couple more years to plan).
Lots of partying and company over the holidays. So much fun!

An aside (sorry, long story)...we had a Class of 78 mini get together, and whipped out the old yearbooks. "Best Dressed Guy" in the '77 yearbook had on a denim jumpsuit, zipped up the front, zippers on the hips and on the chest. We were :lmao: so hard, we cried! Ah, the fashions of the 70s!!!

 We missed out on the eating out bandwagon as well. I just made pasta here at home. Too cold to go out.
