DIS meet in Michigan, and/or WDW Sept 26th-Oct 3

I cannot extend enough gratitude to everyone here on the boards, who have helped with craft ideas, budget ideas, trip planning ideas and anything else!

We'll (DH and I) be at WDW Sept 26th- Oct 3 and would love to meet up and say hello to some others who love the DIS!

Also, and I'll be happy to stand corrected on this one, but I'd love to have some DIS pals in Michigan. There's a great Disney Outlet here!

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from everyone, and again want to extend my sincere thanks to this whole community. I've never felt so much support!

I'm in Southwest Michigan. So far south that the only local channels we use to get with our antenna (before the GREAT DIGITAL CONVERSION, when we just gave up and ordered very very basic cable) were Indiana stations. I knew everything that was going on in Indiana, but nothing that was happening in Michigan!

Where is this Disney Outlet you speak of??? I didn't know about this!

My DFi and I will be in Disney Sept.26th-30th. Maybe we will see you there.
We are going to the party for the senses on the 26th and MNSSHP on the 29th. We may also be going to Flint MI in mid OCT for business.

The outlet is located at the Great Lakes Crossing. I75 and Baldwin Road. Great place to get your disney fix and pick up a few disney dollars. Then when you are done shopping you can eat at the RainForest Cafe. I can get there in a hop skip and a jump unless its rush hour. Susan

OOOOH!!! It's a bit more than a hop skip and a jump for me, but it's way closer than say Orlando!!

I am a michigan-based Disney fan too -- Ann Arbor! I did live in south Florida for a while, though. I moved to MI last year for work. (To be honest, I consider Florida my home and Michigan my place of employment where I happen to live for now! Michigan is quite nice but it's way too far from Disney. )

I didn't know about the Disney outlet at Great Lakes Crossing ... yay!

We're not from Michigan but we do see plenty of Michigan plates up here south of Toronto! We are staying at Pop as well between Sept 26 and Oct 11th! We'll have the window all done up in Pirate Swag!!!

Did you take a picture of your window? Where were you staying? We were in the 80's building by the parking lot.

I made it to the Disney outlet at Great Lakes Crossing on Sunday!! Thanks for the tip!! I was so excited!

My whole family loves Disney. We are near Flint Michigan. I have to check out the Disney outlet at Great Lakes. I haven't been there in a few years. Nice to know I'm not alone in my love for Disney here in Michigan.

I'm not sure if anyone has recieved a message or not, but there's a Halloween Party at the Disney Store on the 21st of October. Anyone up for a DIS meet?

I wish I would have seen this post before today.. I was down in Disney World at that exact time, I would have met up with you.. And as for the party at the outlet, I would have met up with you there too... Where in Michigan do you call home?? I live in Pleasant Lake which is just west of Ann Arbor. If you hear of anymore meets in Michigan please let me know.There is nothing better that talking about Disney if I can't make it to Disney.
