DIS Meet Confusion

Please help!

I've noticed a few of you have posted that you held your DIS meet after the Boat Drill and before the Sailaway Party on Deck 7. Isn't the boat drill at 4:00 and the Sailaway Party at 4:30? If so, how did you have time to meet? Any information or advice would be great. Any other meeting times or places would also be helpful as I'm hoping to meet some of the nice people from these boards.

Our Meet just ran into the sailaway party it was alot of fun and after a while it broke up and folks went off to get ready for the evenings activities.... it was on deck 10 so there was plenty of room....

TIP...plan on meeting elsewhere in case the party is indoors, ours didn't happen because of the rain.

We held both of ours on the first full day at sea so everyone could go to the party.

Our meet was at the promenade lounge after the boat drill, great location as it was really easy to find each other.

For both of ours, we've had them on the first sea day in the promenade lounge.

Most people prefer not to have to rush from the boat drill, to a meet and to the deck party, and it can get quite loud during the deck party.

We also generally stayed for at least an hour talking, looking at pins etc..., which would really cut into the deck party that a lot of people love.

Hmmm...if we met on the day at sea we wouldn't be meeting until the last day of our cruise.........Are you all talking about the 7 day cruises?
