I b****Y well hope so, had to knock down a wall last night and chip off a load of old blown plaster then replaster it! I must be mad, I hurt all over, my back, feet, knees, hands and neck, so tonight I've got to seal the walls, strip a small bit of wood back, finish plastering the top of the landing, undercoat the woodwork and tidy up, hey ho! such fun

Hi again everyone and well done to everyone's who's lost weight!!!
I got back from California on Thursday and have lost 1 pound despite eating and drinking American-style - but loads of walking round theme parks etc every day!! Am joining a gym on Tuesday to try to continue my long-haul weight loss plan!!!
Thought this might comfort you!!

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should
only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO ...... Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the
best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about
food and diets. And remember: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved
body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"
 
I stuck to my diet 100% last week and Ive lost 6lbs!!! I would like to lose another stone and a half before we go on holiday which is 11 weeks away and if I can average a pound or two a week I should be able to do it but it depends if I can stay away from chocolate or not!

Thanks for the cheer up Di and welcome back hope you had a great time, I lost 6lbs too!!! amazing but due to all my strenuous decorating activity and no snacking in front of the tv, am still bordering on obese and would realistically like to lose 2 stone before my november hols but would be happy with a stone.
 
Well done Carol! Hey maybe if we both manage to lose 2 stone by our holidays we can celebrate with chocolate cake at our dis meet! :cool1:

I lost 3lbs this week after staying the same last week. I bought my self a new pair of jeans yesterday in a 14 :cool1: Its the first time in 10 years i have bought clothes that small :cheer2:

Ah! size 14 I remember that old friend really well, I can claim to still having some 14s in my wardrobe although they happen to be old clothes that have probably stretched over the years but when I do wear them I wear them with the labels hanging out!
 
Well done Michelle Di and Carol and Jen wish i could get in to a size 14 sadly not since having kids i've been a size 16 ever since mind you my jeans are not as tight a fit as they used to be.
