The suitcases and packing accessories have officially been relocated from the crawl space to the bedroom. Let the pre-packing rituals (wherein I dump my entire closet into the packing area and then swear loudly as I winnow things down) commence!!!!

I am unearthing the Passports from the safe and trying to pick out my luggage/bags for the trip.

We start with the largest and then try to pare it down to smaller sizes.

Has everyone found their passports??? Someone, who shall remain nameless, had a moment when he realized our passports weren't where they were supposed to be. Crisis averted, passports have been found...... That same someone didn't put them away in the correct spot the last time they were needed.....

Okay folks...

I have contacted ABD to address the missing "goodie boxes" and lo and behold......they have forgotten to send them to us.They have not been sent as of yet.I have a call with a supervisor tomorrow to see if we can expedite them.
I know that Pete and Dustin, Roger and Kathy and John and I are leaving next week.Is anyone else leaving very early for this trip?From my calculations, most seem to be leaving in the 9/12 - 9/15 range.Let me know if you are leaving earlier than that.Thanks.

Okay...I have another "goodie box" update.

I have spoken with the person that helped us create this trip and I have more info.

Because this is a custom trip, ABD has created an exclusive Adventure handbook for us.

As most of you know, the Adventure handbook lists the itinerary of the Adventure and rather than use the "off the shelf" handbook, ABD has tailored it to our trip.

I am told that these handbooks have just arrived and are going out "overnight" tomorrow.

Hopefully, everyone will have their box by Wednesday.

This is much nicer information than the idea that they "forgot" us.

I am a much calmer human now.

Packing??? I just got back from the Caribbean at around 2AM this morning. I have to unpack and un-sand my bags before I start to think about repacking for Italy.

I'll MAYBE get unpacked tomorrow. Then laundry. Then housecleaning. Then nap. Then playing with my foster pup. Then some wine, then reviewing the Rick Steves book to reset my brain from sun and sand to wine and history...

Maybe I'll start thinking about packing by this weekend.

Well, I had the first dream last night where I miss my flight, so I know it's getting close! Then, as an added bonus, I had a dream where I missed the train from Florence to Venice and could see from the platform that John, Kevin, and Frankie (one of our guides from the Germany ABD last year for those who weren't there) were leading the group in a Newsies singalong while Mike filmed it. Clearly should not have had that pizza last night before bed.
