Argh. The Space Shuttle launch was switched from May 12th to May 11th. I'd love to meet y'all but I really want to see another launch!!! Have fun, maybe next time instead.

I agree - Argh! This may pull us away from the meet as well AND have us rescheduling/cancelling the sunset safari. We had planned on driving over to view the launch on the 12th which was working out perfectly. Darn that Nasa!

Omigosh, I'm so glad I read this thread! I had no idea it was scheduled to go up next week - my son will be beside himself with excitement if he can see the shuttle launch! THANK YOU for posting this!

I wish I knew Titusville better - I've just been planning on heading that direction towards the Space Park and finding a good view along the waterway. I hope that sounds like a good "plan". Is the seawall a very obvious landmark?

Just a reminder that those of us who are watching the launch from WDW are still planning on the DIS/DVC meet at Kidani on Monday at 3:00 or so. I said middle of the lobby, but that is kind of small and not convenient, so maybe we should gravitate to the library instead. For those of you who have not been there yet, it is on the right side off the savanna end of the lobby. Remember, this is KIDANI (not jambo).

The Conan Clan has arrived at Lake Buena Vista. We were eating lunch today and decided to see if we could get a room off site for an evening and get up really early for early check in. BTW, the earliest you can check in is 7:00am. We were going to go over at Midnight, but, a phone call over to SSR made that moot.

LOL, I'm surprised you didn't know. We have had this thread going since April 7th!!! I hope it hasn't been TOO long and folks forget. Anyway, this is a reminder....See all of you about 3:00 in the Library area at Kidani Village...It's off the rear right side of the Kidani lobby.

The meet took place in the Library, and we all got a chance to view the nice (but smallish) lobby as well as enjoy the "library" at Kidani. We also went downstairs and viewed the decor at Sanaa, and even took a quick look at the very interesting restrooms near the restaurant! We also got a chance to walk around the pool area, and we left Bill, Peg, and John at the pool bar when everyone else had gone. I think Kidani is going to be lovely once the vegetation has a chance to grow up. I'm not fond of the view as you come into the area though. From that angle, the area looks like an old Holiday Inn, but by the time you get to the parking lot, it looks much better. I love the idea of the underground parking. Lots of animals on Sunset savanna too.

Diane *found* me just as I was getting ready to enter Soarin with my dh and dd. Glad u spotted me Diane ! It was greet to meet you even for just a couple of minutes. Next time I hope it can be a little longer. We had those Fast Passes and had to go because we had ADR's at Sanaa right after......hope u had a great trip !
