Checking in at SSR right now. Woohoo!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

See you all real soon! :wave2:

See you in a few days Aaron. :santa:

Yes - I am a little over an hour away from the airport.

I have found that for a week long trip, it pays for itself to stay at one of the hotels and use the shuttle versus the parking. If I do this now, I will pay more for the room so in the end it will cost me about $40 more.

Anne, if it gives you peace of mind staying closer I would do it. :goodvibes

Wow - new thread! Wasn't expecting that

Just got home from a 10 hour workday. Blech. Long day tomorrow, normal day Tues, off Wed and then DAP bound Thu!!!! It can't get here soon enough

Same here, I wasn't expecting a new thread either, especially since they let the last one go to 400 pages before closing it.

I am concerned about the weather too, I am thinking of going up on Wednesday night and staying near the airport too.

The one nice think about where I live is that the airport is across the street from me. It is about a 5 minute walk. I will have my neighbor drive me though. I don't want to drag my luggage thru the snow at 6AM.

Hey Todd.....

Hey Paul.....

Hey George .....

Hey Don ......

Hey Aaron.....

I have an airport less than 10 miles from my house, but I usually fly out of Indianapolis, because the cost of flights are $100+ cheaper out of Indy. Which requires me to travel 2 hrs to the north to catch my flight.

I'm calling it an early night..not too much sleep over the weekend. Too much jenga...

•Chicken noddle soup
•A Muppet Movie
•Puppies
•Warm bed

Sleepy Time!!!

In the summer I fly out of Denver for the same reason. It is 200 miles to Denver. I have to travel over some very high mountain passes so I don't do it in the winter anymore. I could save $150.00 to $250.00, but if it is snowing I may not make it if they close the passes. Last year it took us almost 5 1/2 hours to get home and it was very scary. So I decided the difference in price is not worth it any more. During the winter I wish I lived closer to Denver because it makes flying so much easier.

ooops

Ugh I am kicking myself I didnt add the day onto the front end of our trip. looks like the weather wednesday is going to be a MESS! I am stressing already we are going to have problems at the airport. I guess there is nothing I can do but Hope all goes well and just wait it out.

How could you have known? Don't beat yourself up about it. I just looked at the weather station and it looks like 50 degrees and rain on Wednesday. It could be worse, it could be snow! You'll be fine!

I don't blame you for not trying to travel to Denver. That would be scary with a big snow. My route is mostly flat, right now the models have the storm getting here overnight Tuesday Night into the day on Wednesday. The path and timing is still in question though. Right now they are saying Chicago may see the brunt of the storm and we would be getting rain only question for me is what will Indianapolis get (Rain, Freezing Rain or Snow). I am going to make my final decision tomorrow based on what they are saying once the storm gets past you tomorrow.
