DIS/DISUnplugged/Dreams December Event Info – DISapalooza (continued)

Oh, Kelly- I'm so sorry!

I was a fan when they were on top and I am a fan now, as hard as it is I have to believe it will turn around eventually (maybe when Dan Snyders get the H*** out of DC ;) )

First post to the new thread!

I have been busy all weekend and haven't had time for the boards. Shopping yesterday and packing and cleaning today. Only 4 days left. Hopefully we won't get much snow Wednesday night. I don't want to miss a minute. At least this year I am there for 5 days Last year was nuts with arriving late Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. I'm all packed except for the last minute stuff and yes Anna I did remember to pack my jeans so everyone's eyes are safe.

Can't wait to meet you Kim.. just a few more days now!!! :santa::santa:

All this talk about hotel room before the flight...

I go through the same thing when I fly out of Maine in December. To make a morning flight, I need to leave home at by 4:00. I watch the weather and consider going down the night before. In the end, each time I sleep at home.

The airport parking went up another $2.00 this year. Next time, if I am gone for a week, I am going to research the park and fly hotels for sure.

There is definitely a break even point - I tend not to park in satelitte parking when I am traveling alone - especially arriving after dark. Something about being in an open air parking lot by myself spooks me. So I park in the Daily garage which is $2 a day more. If I book the hotel in advance, 7 days is the point that it is equal anything longer it is definitely cheaper to go with the hotel free parking.

This trip, I am late in booking the hotel so it is more expensive and the thing that is making me want to do the hotel is catching an earlier flight. Not a must do.

Wow, friends. I left and we were on Page 1 and now already on 10? Phew! You guys sure have been busy!

I just got home from Sean's It was his sister's bday today so the entire family and her fiance went out for dinner. We had a good time and then did the cake thing back at the house. Sean also whipped out the WDW pics from our trip a few weeks back. That's always fun!

I'm getting pumped for Friday! Will I be the only one flying in then? lol

My daughter Jessica is flying in Friday night. I think she is getting in about 8:30.

I go through airportparkinginc.com, they have the best rate at the Indianapolis airport, they currently only offer parking at 10 airports around the country. They contract with a local hotel near the airport and you park in their lot. It is prepaid, and only $5.00 a day with a $5.00 handling fee (vs $9.00 a day at the airport). They offer free transportation to & from the airport. I just reserved my parking for this trip. It is $24.00. The two hotels I am looking at with my AAA discount are $41.00 after taxes. The cheapest Park-n-fly was $91.00 after taxes.

pixiedust: for all of you facing snow & freezing rain. Hopefully the weather will be o.k. in St. Louis Sat. morning. :goodvibes

For those who might have an interest, The Orlando area TubaChristmas will be:

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 - TIME: 1:00 pm
LOCATION: Stage, Park Ave.,downtown Winter Park, No. end of Central Park, Canton Ave., North of Rollins College

For those who do not know, [SIZE=-1]TUBACHRISTMAS was conceived in 1974 as a tribute to the late artist/teacher William J. Bell, born on Christmas Day, 1902. Through the legendary William J. Bell we reflect on our heritage and honor all great artists/teachers whose legacy has given us high performance standards, well structured pedagogy, professional integrity, personal values and a camaraderie envied by all other instrumentalists. The first TUBACHRISTMAS was conducted by the late Paul Lavalle in New York City's Rockefeller Plaza Ice Rink on Sunday, December 22, 1974. Traditional Christmas music performed at the first TUBACHRISTMAS was arranged by American composer Alec Wilder who ironically died on Christmas Eve, 1980. Wilder composed many solo and ensemble compositions for tuba and euphonium. He was a loyal supporter of every effort to improve the literature and public image of our chosen instruments. Through Alec Wilder we express our respect and gratitude to all composers who continue to embrace our instruments with their compositions and contribute to the ever growing solo and ensemble repertoire for tuba and euphonium.

Plus it sounds pretty cool! Talk about heavy metal!

If I had bought an extra airline ticket for my Tuba, I probably would go play. The Houston Tuba Christmas is the weekend of the 19th.

I am a little late coming to the thread. Talk to all of you tomorrow. Weather be damned. I'll walk to WDW if I have to.

I didn't see the Cosmo slushie when I was over at Epcot earlier. It wasn't at the booth with the other ones.

It's there it is on the right side and the is the grey goose slushie beside it.
There is also a grey goose slushie on the other side beside the GM slushie.

Afternoon everyone, sure is quiet around here. Everyone must be Christmas shopping or packing. I am doing both today. Everyone is packed.....except me. I really have to do it later since tomorrow I have to work and we leave Tuesday morning.

The weather is looking great, we are all so excited. I can't even believe this, but, today my husband said to me "two more sleeps here until Disney"! I think I almost past out... he is just as excited about this trip as I am!

Glad he seems to be getting excited about the trip to DAP! :yay::yay:
