I've got some errands to run today & then I need to pack. Of course, since I have to be out & about, it's raining. Better rain than snow/ice, though! Fingers crossed that those of you that are getting winter weather are still able to get out on time!

Be careful today!

I have a major pile ready for the suitcase. I will go through my packing list one more time and then pack the suitcase tonight.

I don't know if I am going to sleep tonight and I suspect it will be lonely on the boards with everyone else in the middle of travel.

I have pretty much decided to take my computer with me, so I may be on tonight breifly.

The storm should clear out by late this afternoon. I figure that will give the airport plenty of time to clear the ice and snow. We depart at 0630.

I can totally hear you say 0630 like my dad used to. It's kind of funny because our HR system at work (for timesheets and stuff) works based on military time. So on my first few days there, someone would try to explain it to me...I would look at them and say that I was an Army brat growing up. I know military time. Everyone accepted my explanation except one...she decided to sit there and explain how military time works. I told her that I am already familiar with it, but she just kept going...and going...and going...I just tuned her out after a bit and looked interested instead...

The wind is howling here! Glad i'm not flying out of here today!

Good Morning DAP Pals. I hope everyone with snow is able to navigate around it. Hope and I paid for the Early Bird check in with Southwest, so I will check tonight for my seating group. Our flight is Friday morning. Tonight is the final gather and everything goes into the suitcase tomorrow night. The oh so valuable credentials are already in the carry on. I just have to get through today and tomorrow at work. And there is chat tonight for those of us who haven't left yet. And I'm sure Kevin will be around for his favorite pass time, Taunting.

As for the podcast today, PUSH THE BUTTON, MAX.

You need to copy his music/info into his Documents and settings folder for his account. This is easily done from the administrator account. On most machines the admin account is set-up with no password

We do it all thru itunes. We just set our ipods/phones (we have 5 of them btwn the 4 of us ) to "manually manage" so then you can choose what gets put on each unit when it gets synced,

Buffalo area weather update:

Wednesday AM - heavy rain - temps in the mid 30's
Southern Tier area - some freezing rain - delays for schools are running about 2 hours til temps rise down there

Wednesday afternoon - Winds move in - sustained winds of 35-45 mph with gusts 60+ at times - temps rising to mid 40's - rain ends

Wednesday PM - lake effect snow settles in - approx area is from Dunkirk area up through metro Buffalo and airport up to lake Ontario area near Batavia & Rochester - white out conditions prevail

Overnight - lake snow continues

Thursday AM - lake snow starts to move into the Southern Tier - estimate is now that by 7 am no snow in Buffalo metro/airport area

Flight out = 8:30am fingers crossed

I got boarding pass B4 for tomorrow morning's flight. Jaime got A45.

Morning all who joined after I logged out from home.

PD to everyone who is dealing with bad weather. I think we got really lucky. We had enough snow last night to get the snow plows out on the road but it turned to rain early this morning and the temperature has gone up so we just have a slushy mess. They are now saying that today is going to end up being a nice day after the rain completely moves on - 50's. My daughter in Virginia Beach has 70's this morning. So here is hoping to all the east coasters that the warm front just continues moving northward.

I will be around to keep people company today as we work/play through this last day before DAP.

It has stopped raining in Richmond and is getting warmer as we speak

For those flying in for DAP today. The weather here in Orlando this morning is partly to mostly cloudy, the high today is 84 degrees, winds are light.

Fortunately we just had rain. I'm supposed to be cleaning bcs my parents arrive today to watch the kids while we're gone. But I got sucked into watching a movie I downloaded from amazon which is about to expire.

Need to run to the post office- sending a care package to an Air Force friend who is deployed. I hope I have the customs forms filled out right. And then finish up a couple other loose ends. And then I'll officially be ready to start thinking about packing.

Morning all. Been a pretty hectic morning here. My daughter is having car trouble with "both" vehicles this week. I had to go out this morning, get her 30 miles away to bring to work. Then I get home and have a 2ft wall of snow to smash through to get in the driveway. Still snowing at a good clip and I'd say there are 8" of snow in the driveway right now that will need removal before it turns to rain. That and I'm also working today.

Hope Anna gets to Denver ok and everyone else has a safe trip. The good thing is this mess is gone late afternoon so shouldn't impact out flight tomorrow. 0700 can't get here quick enough.

This weather sucks! The steel pin in my finger is freezing up when I try to clear the steps of snow!! I *%#@ing hate New York in winter!!

Sorry to hear this Paul. I bet it feels a whole lot better at 0630 tomorrow.
