I am usually a very light packer. It's this temperature range thing that's thrown me for a loop - having to have clothes for 70's to high 40's. That and the 20 tiaras I'm bringing for DATW.

Afternoon everyone... can you believe this is the first time I have been here all day.. I was awake at 2:30 this morning for no reason at all and have been awake since then. I am hoping I don't completely crash by 6 or 7 tonite, I still have way to much to do to get ready to leave Thursday.

I knew I had lots to get done at work so I ended up coming in early (6:30) and have been pushing papers and attending meetings since I arrived. Decided it was time to take a break and see what was going on so here I am.. Off to read and get caught up. Hope you're having a great day

Last full work day for me!!!
2 days until DAP!!!!

I need to pack since I am leaving for Indy tomorrow afternoon decided to go up and spend the night. I hope the winds have died down before I get on the road. We are going to get lots of rain beginning mid day today into tomorrow...but the wind is the higher concern as they are expecting wind speeds in excess of 60 mph with this system as it blows through. Depending on the moisture left in the air, when the temp begins to drop will determine if or how much snow we may see.

I am glad you have put a plan in motion that you feel comfortable with. I have decided just to stick with my original flights, it means I get in Orlando at 12:15 but I don't have to spend the extra money on a hotel room or wake up extra early so maybe I will not be too tired.

I still need to make decisions regarding what I am doing Thursday. I have not committed to any plan

The weather around here is supposed to be kinda ugly tomorrow with tropical storm force winds and a 90% chance of snow! It looks like it's just for tomorrow and that Thursday will be free and clear for those of us leaving the Indiana area...

Yesterday morning was an absolute nightmare getting to work. I was supposed to be there at 9am and I live 9 miles away. Straight shot down the interstate for me...but yesterday...not so much...what normally takes me 10 minutes took me more than an hour to get to work! The interstate was at a dead stop...so I bailed on the highway and decided to cut through town and come down the back road into the store. Yep...that was probably the worst idea that I have ever had...I clocked in 45 minutes late. Obviously I didn't get into trouble or anything as I wasn't the only one affected, and I called in to let them know, but I HATE being late to work.

To all traveling today...safe travels!! I work 9 to 5 as a cashier today...and then 3:30pm to 9:30pm tomorrow night in the office...so I'll miss most of chat. I am so hoping that the next two days go by FAST!

I learned along time ago never to take that shortcut, it always ends up taking longer. Sorry you were stuck in the awful traffic, I remember those times and shudder thinking about them

I used to always take it off! It was like my own national holiday.

I remember how cool I thought it was that I never had to go to school on my bday as a young kid since I was in a catholic school and my Bday fell on All Saints Day.. It was a rude awakening the first year in public school and I had to go.

It's snowing! Imagine that! It wasn't supposed to start until noon-ish. 6-10+ inches by tomorrow, with 40-50 mph winds. Thank goodnes I'm not leaving until Thursday. I have the 2nd flight out, so hopefully they will get most of the bumped people on the earlier flight (although mine is still at 6:50, plenty early).

I am supposed to get in at 12:30, by time I get in and get my car and have lunch, I would think I'd be at ASMu by 2-ish. Maybe a nap before Osborne Lights.

The boys were being really rambunctious the other day, so I blurted out that Mickey Mouse told me Santa was sending an elf home with me from Disney. Now I'm in a mad scramble to find an elf, then I need to find time to go to the MK to have my picture taken with Santa giving me the elf. Not sure when I'm going to have a free moment to do that. Maybe need to give up a nap

Mom is sick (we live together) and I am taking her to the dr. today and for her to agree without a fight means she is truly sick. She has been sick since Saturday and only feels a little better at this point. Now I am worrying about going away this weekend. The good thing is, my sister lives nearby (relatively) and my oldest niece comes home from school on Thursday. Mom could go stay at my sister's house, or oldest niece could stay at our place I guess. I am just feeling guilty about leaving on Friday. She might have some kind of flu. Don't think it is H1N1, no respiratory symptoms, I feel fine. Hopefully, the dr. will know what is going on and she starts to feel better by Thursday night. Pixie Dust please. I'm sure Mom doesn't want me calling her every couple of hours this weekend.

Facing a similar problem here. DD21 is sick. Yep, I'm still on Tamiflu, but she has no health conditions which will get her Tamiflu (they recommend you don't use it unless you have a pre-existing health condition), so we're riding it out. And you would think that since I'm the only one leaving for this trip, that maybe someone could take care of her...but of course not.

So, we'll have to see how this progresses. She was also the one taking care of the furbabies, and again...nobody else can do this, since DS lives at school. If she is still very sick, I'll have to stay home to take care of her. She's a quick healer, though, so I'm hoping for the best.

Mindy I also hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

Hi everyone. We are at the airport waiting to board the plane. It is a beautiful day here so hopefully we will have a nice flight. Can't believe it is actually here! Looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great time!

Packing will happen tomorrow after work. I'll have to go to bed early since my airport limo is coming at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday!

Same here Dodie. No packing until tomorrow. Thursday will be a bear of a day. We need to leave for the airport xtra early due to weather. Not sure what the roads will be like so I'm allowing extra time. That means Deb will need to be up at 3AM. She hates early flights but it so worth it especially on a short trip.

My kids were born on 11/23 and our school system gives the whole week of thanksgiving off so they'll never have school on their bday.

Bet you're glad you drive down to Orlando was last week - this week would have been a hellish one from Toronto

Yes I am glad we came last week instead of this week.
Even with the rain and cooler weather last week, it's better in disney than at home!
The drive home is going to be a nice slow drive, with some sight seeing.
we will be extra careful going home as we did not put our snow tires on the car yet!
