Tell me about it! But, I finally found the bright side- by 4pm I should be free of work for the week and able to focus on DAP!

I actually packed laundry and brought it with me to Houston to do tomorrow while Rick works- so everything will be nice and clean when we go home Thursday to swittch out suitcases!

Tonight we are meeting up with a "Katrina relocated" friend for dinner. He manages a Rain Forest cafe here in TX. While I'm sure I'd get the "all stops popped" birthday celebration there- I really don't want RainForest for dinner tonight.... SO, here's hoping we can find something good!


Thanks for all of the Birthday wishes on here and FB! I really appreciate it.....my spouse didn't even mention it this morning.....

I hear if you stick with liquids at rainforest, you should be ok!

Indy weather - They're saying snow, rain, and ice mix for Wednesday and high winds for Wednesday and Thursday now. The high winds for Thursday bother me regarding possible flight delays, but I guess it could be worse.

Well my DAP Friends,

Work does call - I am off to a supervision meeting with one of my directors. They tend to run long unless she is overbooked.

I may pop in for a few minutes later this morning but it is likely that I will not be back until this evening.

I am baking tonight so I will give you progress reports - and yes Kelly brownies are on the list so if you don't get your brownie sundae, I will have some brownies at the cookie exchange on Sunday

Mornin' everyone!

It's snowing! Imagine that! It wasn't supposed to start until noon-ish. 6-10+ inches by tomorrow, with 40-50 mph winds. Thank goodnes I'm not leaving until Thursday. I have the 2nd flight out, so hopefully they will get most of the bumped people on the earlier flight (although mine is still at 6:50, plenty early).

I am supposed to get in at 12:30, by time I get in and get my car and have lunch, I would think I'd be at ASMu by 2-ish. Maybe a nap before Osborne Lights.

The boys were being really rambunctious the other day, so I blurted out that Mickey Mouse told me Santa was sending an elf home with me from Disney. Now I'm in a mad scramble to find an elf, then I need to find time to go to the MK to have my picture taken with Santa giving me the elf. Not sure when I'm going to have a free moment to do that. Maybe need to give up a nap

hi Pam,

just saw a weather update for Thursday am here in buffalo. If memory serves me, you're up in Niagara on the Lake.

When you leave to come in Thursady am, the snow will be starting to move south of the metro buffalo area. They are predicting some lake effect snow beginning at about 11 pm Wednesday that will affect the airport area. The airport should be handing it all very well, they're used to it

It appears that your drive down should be rather uneventful until you hit the bridge (Lewiston/Queenston is assume)

I'll try to get you posted if anything major changes

Thanks for the update and encouragement...we normally cross at the Peace Bridge and hope that will work on Thursday AM. You just never know with Queenston-Lewiston, so we normally avoid it.

Mom is sick (we live together) and I am taking her to the dr. today and for her to agree without a fight means she is truly sick. She has been sick since Saturday and only feels a little better at this point. Now I am worrying about going away this weekend. The good thing is, my sister lives nearby (relatively) and my oldest niece comes home from school on Thursday. Mom could go stay at my sister's house, or oldest niece could stay at our place I guess. I am just feeling guilty about leaving on Friday. She might have some kind of flu. Don't think it is H1N1, no respiratory symptoms, I feel fine. Hopefully, the dr. will know what is going on and she starts to feel better by Thursday night. Pixie Dust please. I'm sure Mom doesn't want me calling her every couple of hours this weekend.

Dodie, Thanks for the update. Based on what they are saying here the worst of the winds will be tomorrow diminishing after midnight. Hopefully that won't cause us any delays on Thursday Morning.
