Hi, everyone! I've got a template challenge for you this week.
DISChallenge31preview.jpg

You can click right here to download the template in PSD and PNG format as well as that spiral clip, just a little extra something. You do not have to use the clip to meet this week's requirements, however.

Just use the template...either just as it is or change it up however you like. Some ideas:

turn the template on its side or all the way upside down
combine some of the boxes
use the boxes for some sort of embellishment rather than pictures

As always in this line of challenges, the layout needs to be Disney related. That's the only other requirement this week.

Here's my layout that I created the template from:
facepainting-small.jpg

Credits: Background paper and "love that face" tag from Miss Mint's Kindergarten Crafts
Drop shadow styles by Debra Tope (Collage Edge Layer Styles)
Mouse ear journal box from Britt's Happiest Kingdom on Earth
Stamp from Britt's Mouse in the House

And, lastly, I want to thank Britt for arranging a great prize from Traci Reed. Traci has generously given two $7 gift certificates this week. Her store is at Sweet Shoppe Designs and will be back operational this coming weekend, but you can still check out her stuff here. Traci's creative team has a blog that always has fun challenges and things going on so you might want to check that out, too, right here.

So, two lucky winners (one chosen by me and one random winner) will get to go shopping at a newly revamped Sweet Shoppe!

Have fun!

Oh, I love templates!! Such a neat challenge, Terri! Love your LO, too, with that Mickey head peeking out for your journaling. Can't wait to get started! Do you remember what font you used for your journaling?

I believe that was CityBlueprint. The words on the photo are Shannon Bold, I think. I'll have to check at home.

Terri, thanks for hosting.

I'm in, and I L-O-V-E the template! Anything with multiple photos in it I just adore.

Now, to get to work...

Here's my entry! I'm on a roll, man! LOL I used mostly Britt's Just Married kit. I also somewhat scraplifted a LO on the Hawt Mama Team Blog done by Jenny.

Hope y'all like it!

I really love this black and white layout- very nice!!

Thanks for hosting, Terri. This one was fast and fun to do. The template allowed me do the same thing that I did for the signs in California Adventure. Yay! Two more pages down - who knows how many more to go to get the Disneyland trip album completed.

I didn't put the date on it since it'll be in with all the other trip pages.

Boy, you guys are quick!! Lauren - I love the black and white and how you turned the template into a one photo page. Very ceative! I love Animator's Palette, too!! :)

QuiltyMom - Such a neat way to get in all the signs on Main Street. I love looking at all the windows and signs. That looks like a neat, colorful kit!

Cute Template!
Everything else is Britts
Pretty Scallops - Pink Paper
Glam-O-Rama - Blue Glitter Paper
Her Royal Highness

I'm still not in love with this. I need something... Swirls maybe.

Great template Terri! Thanks for hosting! I needed the inspiration to get my HM pics done.

WOW! Great entries already...just one day in!

stenogoddess and susan-I love both of these layouts with the black and white paper and elements. Very striking. Such great embellishments and use of paper!

quiltymom-You're right, having lots of squares really did give you places to showcase all of the details you took the time to photograph. I like the movement you gave to the layout with the photos askew like that.

sconnell- I'm terrible with embellishing layouts, so maybe someone else will have an idea for you since you think it needs something else. I like the layout as it is...the roses are beautiful in place of photos.

BriarRose59-I really like the element cluster you placed in the corner of the main photo. Really nice touch!

Wow! I'm already so far behind! LOL

Lauren - love the B&W for the AP picture! It really fits and the LO looks so great!!!

Jan - never thought about taking pictures of the signs. Guess I know what I'll be doing on the next trip becuase I just LOVE your LO!!!

Sunny - what a great LO! Love the papers!

Susan - Great pics from HM! That spooky paper is so perfect for the LO too!!!

BriarRose - I particularly like the photo of all the pictures on this LO with all the pictures. I don't know how to describe it but it gives it like a depth... you know, kind of like when you ahve a candle between two mirrors. Great LO!

QuiltyMom: I love the windows on Main Street. What a great LO idea!

Sconnell: Very cute. I love the papers/colors you chose. It looks like y'all had fun

Susan: I love this Haunted Mansion LO. I love mixing the papers and the photo squares. Very neat

Briar Rose: This was a great kit for this LO. That looks like a cool exhibit. I hope it's still there when I get to go, one day...

Here's my brother's LO to go with my sister's. It doesn't have to count. I just wanted to share. The kit I used is by Happy Scrap Girl.

Thanks for the great template and challenge.

Everybody here is so talented, I love all of the different takes on the template.

Susan: great layout, just the other day my husband was trying to find our pics of haunted mansion and tombstones so he could read them. I needed a page like yours so he could find them.

Here is my take on this template. The pictures are from an excursion we took on our last Disney Cruise...I hope it still qualifies since it wasn't taken on the ship.

Lauren - love how you used patterns and such instead of extra pictures. And I also like how you hung the journaling bit.

Strega7 - Love your LO! That's Tulum? It looks familiar but I'm sure there are tons of different Mayan ruin. Love the sun!

interstitchal (btw, love your name) - I just love how you split the castle up to use the blocks! That's really cool!!! I'm going to have to scraplift that idea.

Krisi - Your baby's so cute! I love how you moved the journaling to the bottom corner and the paper strips behind the main picture

Okay, here's mine. Thanks for the great template, Terri!!! I was trying to figure out what I was going to do and how I was going to fit this challenge in with everything else I had to do. Then I started thinking about how I was late getting this month's "Little Brown Shack Out Back" Challenge (quote challenge) up at Moo Two Designs. We start challenges on the 15th, so I'm not that late but I am late. So I went to sleep thinking about time. When I woke up this morning, this layout was just bustin' out of my head because I can use it in both places. :rotfl2: Heck, I'll probably use it for the song lyric challenge at Busy Scrappin' too! Now, if I can just figure out some way to use it Saturday night for the speed scrap at DigiScrapStation I'd be all set. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
