Well I guess I should start posting here! :goodvibes Decided that 2010 will be the year I lose 5 stone and generally get healthier, being winded from just walking up the stairs is not good :eek: I've started going to the gym 5 times a week and have been for 3 weeks so far, had to miss a day this week and really didn't want to so that's a good sign I think :)

I'm not too downheartened though as I bought my dress for my 40th Birthday party in a size Small yesterday:thumbsup2

Must try harder to get it moving next week so I can still fit into that dress in May:rotfl2:

I am not weighing myself tomorrow as Paul Mckenna's rules are to weigh yourself every two weeks, so it will be next week for me. :thumbsup2

At the moment i'm just trying to cut down on unhealthy snacks and sugary foods (chocolate is my weakness!) I find once I get past the first week of craving it alll the time it's much easier :goodvibes My actual meals have always been OK, it's snacks that up the calorie intake for me. I considered weight watchers or similar but it's expensive with a gym membership aswell and I don't think it's the sort of thing I could bring myself to pay for. Will see how I do on my own for now ;)

sounds like a good plan, might be worth looking at your portion sizes as well, even the healthy stuff can add pounds if you eat too much of it :hug:

Not posted on here for a while! Went a bit off track, missing classes for various reasons. Went back yesterday and I have put on 2 1/2 pounds over the past few weeks. Still 1 stone 5 lbs down so thats good!! Bought class vouchers for the next 8 weeks so I have no excuse not to go!!

I'm a bit behind the curve of this thread but I see we've had some great losses :thumbsup2 welcome to the new losers and to those returning:thumbsup2 good luck everybody:)

I weighed myself last night and I've lost 3lb, I must admit that although I've been good (mainly due to lack of appetite) I suspect it's more to do with the side effects of the treatment (been sick a few times this week). To be honest I've been told not to strictly diet but I continue to eat healthily and go the the gym just to do a fast uphill walk on the treadmill which makes me feel so much better.

Good luck for the second week of March everybody, with all this recent lovely sun I feel summer is really on the horizon now ;) Just think of all those lovely summer clothes :thumbsup2

I am dreading my wi tomorrow as we were out for a birthday lunch yesterday and I had copious amounts of pizza and cake!!

I'm delighted to have lost 3 1/2lbs this week:yay: We've just found out that dh is to be made redundant in September, so I'm sure that I'll struggle to keep off of the chocolate this week!!
